This Isn't Canon! (Or that time I reincarnated into an AU-Naruto)

Chapter 20: Gimme. No? Okay.

Swinging her legs back and forth off the tree branch she'd stare at where one of the ANBU was. "I need a waterfall for my training." A moment passes before,

"We can't do that I'm afraid." The voice was monotone and bland as usual.

"Causeeee none of you in a squad comprised of 4 meant to be Jonin-level Shinobi know water or earth release? Or we can't move a few miles away to a different training ground?"

She could see two of their chakras roil in agitation with her mind's eye up, and it brought a smile to her face. 'Good. I swear, if the old man won't make these dummies into proper ANBU, I will!' "No, because we don't have permission to change the terrain of this training ground, nor to go to a different training ground."

She rolled her eyes. "Righttt because it's not like I've never sensed ANYONE besides me using this one, and I totally can't sense all the different Fuinjutsu inscribed with it, and I definitely can't sense the fact that there is a house hiding about two hundred feet below the ground teeming with Fuinjutsu inscribed across all of its walls."

"We can-" 'Nah.' Inu, Tori. She didn't wait to listen, she simply disappeared from their view. Her legs continued on swinging in the air as three of the four ANBU started panicking. 'Idiots. Canon Naruto had his Sexy Jutsu. Whereas I developed this - Dance of the Humming Cicada Fifty Step Revolutions of the Kami.' A smile remained on her face as she watched in interest as the Captain of the Squad slowly approached where she was. 'Aah, his senses are sharp. As expected of a Captain. He didn't react to my taunts either. Good.'

The ANBU Captain - Boar, finally arrived on her tree. His voice was exhausted and she noted his chakra levels were quite a bit lower - she knew from before that just like most ANBU Captains he met the standard of a true Elite. More specifically, an Elite Jounin. "We can't do it in this Training Grounds, only Hokage-Sama can as we might disturb the Fuinjutsu."

She dropped her Dance of the Humming Cicada Fifty Step Revolutions of the Kami. Smile on her face, eyes closed yet they were 'smiling' too. "See, that wasn't so hard." Dropping her Mind's Eye of Kagura and opening her eyes she let out a sigh. "Captain Boar, I can't help but feel like there's a surge of new recruits, and a lot of them are arrogant. If they keep this up no matter what Gramps says, I'm gonna have to play some hide and seek. Maybe inside of the new base, y'know?"

-Boar-

'How? That's not possible. She's been kept at least forty miles away from it at all times.' "You're thinking how right?" His eyes narrowed behind the mask. "It's quite simple. You forget, just because I stopped playing hide and seek, didn't mean my clones henged as someone else did - after all, the Henge is a physical transformation, making them a different person." Her smile was soft and gentle, her voice guiding and teaching. 'She's just like him, that same gentle smile.' His hands did not shake, for he was far too trained for that. 'Her mind is just like his too.'

"I see. Thank you for informing me of that loophole Uzumaki. I will tell Hokage-sama you wish for a Waterfall." Her smile showed no teeth, and all she did was do a gentle cant of her head, almost like a puppy. 'Is this why everyone feel fear about them? The gentle look? The kind personality? Hiding a monster within?' For the first time, Boar understood why the Jinchuriki were the most feared monsters in the world. 'Because you never know when one moment they'll be gentle... and the next they'll kill you.'

His heart shuddered as he bowed his head slightly before going back to his post, calling off his team a moment later.

-Naruko-

Unseen to Boar, as he left she frowned slightly. 'I leaked my Intent on accident. Darn K-chan, darn Void.' Letting out a small sigh, she'd finally shrug it off. 'Whatever. It's always an issue I always had. We're Shinobi. No matter how kind-hearted, none of us deserve to be called human. We're monsters masquerading as humans. It's not bad, it's just different... Yet, everyone seems to reject that difference.' She stared up into the Sky. 'At any moment I could turn Konoha to ash. There would be nothing anyone could do to stop me - besides my Dad sealed inside of me. At any moment a Chunin could silently massacre a village. In fact, it happens all the time across the world. At any moment a nation might entirely change regimes because some unknown Chakra Wielder got angry. Nations crumble, the world shakes - all at the whims of beings masquerading as humans.'

She stood up on the branch her smile still soft. 'We have humanity inside all of us. But that doesn't mean we should reject we're also monsters. Hashirama brought the world to heel, broke the status quo, and irrevocably changed it. Tobirama brought the cycle of Death itself to a halt, just because he could. Dad slaughtered thousands because they dared to fight against him.' She clenched a fist her chakra surging inside of her body. 'We are all monsters with humanity inside of us. Not humans with monsters inside. The ANBU of all people should know this. But they don't. It is the job of us monsters to protect the humans. It is also our job to protect the other monsters. But instead...'

A small sad smile appeared on her face for a brief moment. 'Instead, everyone seems to think it's only the Jinchuriki and the Rogue Ninjas that are monsters. Maybe some think that any Ninja not of their own village is a monster. When in reality. We're all monsters, just trying to do what we think is right. Right for the world. Right for the village. Right for ourselves. The second one begins to practice Chakra and begins to be a Shinobi. A Samurai. A Monk. Every step further in power... It's all just a further stay away from humanity. I suppose, in the end, the only difference... Is at least they had a choice.'

She jumped down from her branch summoning three clones on the way down. 'While they train, I suppose I'll just do the usual. Because what human could train in day and day out enjoying it? What human could split their mind into five and handle it?' She let out a chuckle at that. 'It's interesting I'd say. Monster. Beast. Human. Demon. Alien. Aren't these just all terms for different kinds of people? Different kinds of abominations? Yet, in the end, we can all have kindness. We can all have darkness. Yet, when people see some of them, all they think is fear or anger. But perhaps. That is what 'humanity' is about. The falseness of life? Faking what you truly are? I know what I am. I love pranks. I love making friends. I love fighting and training. The mere thought of battle makes my heart flutter and my blood sing. I love moving and talking. I love thinking. I like being who I am. I know I'm a monster, for what else could survive decades if not centuries in the void? We hide such things to make people feel safe. But is that correct? Why can't people feel safe, when we are who we are?'

She didn't know. It was a question that any person could and should ask. 'Why can't I be who I am?' She didn't have the answer for it, perhaps no one did. But... 'I don't mind hiding my madness, insanity, and the like from people. I don't mind hiding it from regular Shinobi. But from the faceless executioners of towns, cities, and countries? To dare feel fear from that? It's sickening.' She exhaled and popped her first clone - the Rasengan clone. 'Oh? I completed step one already. That truly was fast, it seems like K-chan is keeping up his end of the deal.' Naruko's dark mood finished at that revelation as she raised her hands to create another clone. 'I'll think about this later. For now, let's just train some more.'
