Chapter 6: Succumbed to temptation
Niccolo's P.o.v
Draco my wolf was making it extremely impossible for me to concentrate, my mates image kept appearing in my vision, it was distracting. The howls and growls within me was starting to make me feel like a drunkard.
It's been two days, two days to respect the space she had specifically asked for, her face held nothing but hate towards us, it was understandable, since the relationship between my family and hers are strained.
The idea of sharing a mate I never thought I would have was not so repulsive to me, according to how my brothers and I were supposed to lead our lives. Mates were out of the question.
For centuries,no male wolf in our clan has experience a mateship bond, they only settle for women whose mates had died or who were rejected by their mates.
My mom was no exception, she was the first woman dad encountered, according to her story, but she couldn't conceive early. The great Lorenzo Mano known for his impatience, took in two other women.
Unfortunately,or rather fortunately, the two women alongside my mom got pregnant almost the same time.
Being the middle son, it was pretty hard to get involved in things, my mom was more focused on peace, a trait I regret inheriting from her. Considered as the weakling brother, I was given the smallest region. The Western Region.
Angered and enraged, I was ready to rage war, destroy the brothers who didn't consider me as one but my mom offered her life in a stake. Ordering me to end her before raging a war.
This decision to give Camilla space was one that was causing me my sanity, and as I sat at the head of the dining table, staring at my meal of creamy spaghetti and sauce, my appetite failed me.
Still picking on my food,I didn't realize when she walked in, my mom. She cleared her throat, subtly drawing my attention, and as I glanced up from my plate.
Her charming smile soothing me, standing in a regal blue gown, adorned with accessories, her grey hair, short but curly. I could see from her expression that she was worried.
"Are you okay mom," I said, pushing off the chair,I winced slightly at the loud sound screeching against the marble floor. She flashed a toothless smile, revealing the wrinkled fold on her face. She was loosing her youthful features.
She met me halfway, as she took my hand in hers, she peered into my eyes lovingly. "Draco wants her right?" She asked and I arched my eyebrows at her instinctively.
The new of the popular Mano brothers, having a mate spread fast like wildfire, considering the amount of influence we had in the werewolf community,it was understandable. But what surprised most was when I got home that night and Mom was already aware of the news.
"Go meet her, soothe your ache," her voice cut through my thoughts and my eyes widened at her suggestion. She had urged me to endure for the sake of peace, since my brothers didn't want anyone around her yet.
"You sure," I asked, hoping she wouldn't change her mind. She nodded. "One day of doing away with people's feelings, won't hurt, would it?" She asked, flashing her brown stained teeth at me.
I didn't wait no more as I released myself from her grip, after giving her a peck on her forehead and marched outside the pack house. Draco's excitement radiating off of me.

The muffled sound at the garden which Ana, my father's ward led me to, made my ear perk up in curiosity. Draco's protective instincts flared up.
She was alone in this house with Ana, Adriano made sure of that, so who was the third wheel in this place with her.
I resisted the urge to question Ana as I dismissed her, I sniffed the air, the scent of a familiar unmated wolf wafted into my nose. Carlo.
As I stepped into the garden, the sight before me made my blood boil. Carlo stood mere inches away from her, his stance casual, but his presence unwelcome. Her delicate features twisted into an expression of annoyance, her fists clenched as though she was preparing to punch him.
Her sweet vanilla scent hit me like a storm, stirring Draco into a frenzy. He growled possessively, his voice echoing in my mind. "Ours! He has no right to be near her."
I forced Draco down, swallowing the primal rage bubbling within me. This was not the time to lose control. Instead, I fixed my gaze on Carlo, my tone cold and sharp.
"Carlo," I said, my voice slicing through the tension like a blade. "What are you doing here? You were explicitly told to stay away until the elders arrived."
Carlo turned to face me, an unbothered smirk playing on his lips. "Relax, Niccolo. I'm not here to cause trouble. I was just…checking on her." His eyes flicked back to her, and my hands curled into fists.
Her sharp voice cut through the air before I could respond. "I don't need checking on," she snapped, her glare like fire. "And I certainly don't need it from you."
Draco purred in satisfaction at her boldness, pride swelling within me. Despite the rage in her gaze, her strength was undeniable.
"Carlo," I warned, stepping closer. "We all had an agreement," I said daringly, hoping he wouldn't notice that I had also breached that agreement by appearing here too.
He shrugged, clearly unfazed. "Maybe, but someone has to look out for her while you and your brother figure out how to share her like a piece of property."
A low growl rumbled in my chest, and Draco surged forward, eager to take control. It took every ounce of my restraint to hold him back.
"Leave," I said, my voice dangerously low. "Before I make you."
Carlo raised his hands in mock surrender, his smirk still intact. "Fine, fine. No need to get all territorial, Niccolo. I'm leaving."
I know Carlo was in his most pleasant mood, because he would have pounced on me for ordering him.
As he turned to walk away, He glanced over his shoulder once again, then he stretched his hand towards hers, but she didn't notice fast, because his hand settled on hers before she withdrew her hand.
As Carlo turned to look at me, I saw the quick flicker of gold flash across his blue eyes, then a mix of red for a fleeting second as well. He clenched his fist unconsciously.
But I dismissed it as him trying to control his wolf, being close to your mate according to the myth is a dangerous move, especially if she's not yet claimed by you.
I watched as he left, then I turned back to her.
Her eyes met mine, and for a brief moment, I thought I saw something other than hatred in her gaze, something softer, something that tugged at my chest. But it vanished just as quickly as it appeared.
"Are you okay?" I asked gently, stepping closer.
She straightened her posture, her walls firmly back in place. "I can take care of myself," she replied coolly, brushing past me as she headed toward the house.
Her little frame brushed against me as she passed, and a spark of electricity surged through my entire being. It was unlike anything I'd ever felt before intense, consuming, and maddeningly addictive. Draco roared within me, demanding control, his possessiveness overwhelming.
"Ours," he growled, his voice rumbling like thunder in my mind. "Claim her. Now."
I clenched my fists, fighting the primal urge to pull her back, to touch her, to mark her as mine. The struggle for dominance between Draco and me was fierce, every muscle in my body tense as I fought to keep him at bay.
It was unusual, this aggressiveness seemed to be fueled by something.
"Stop," I muttered under my breath, my voice low and desperate.
Her intoxicating scent lingered, teasing me as she walked away, her head held high and her steps resolute. She was untouchable, guarded by her anger and the walls she had built around herself. But that fleeting moment, that spark, it was enough to shatter my resolve.
Just as she reached the entrance of the house, the sound of footsteps echoed in the garden. Ana appeared, her expression wary as she approached us.
"My lord," Ana greeted, bowing slightly before turning her attention to her.
"You must leave now, the three elders of wisdom are here," my heart constricted in my chest at her words but I didn't wait to think, as I raced towards the back door.
