Chapter 2: The Youtuber's first Stream(1)
I stared at the screen in front of me the pain present in my head is still there, I looked at my right hand that was now monstrous looking, it has the same length as my left hand and I could feel a deep presence within my being I took a deep breath and ran my normal hand through my hair.
My hair used to be black, so why does it feel white. "I am in the SCP Universe, well that's not good at all, hey system mind explaining this origin shit and why the hell do wendigo's exist?"
[Processing…]
[Ding!]
The mechanical voice of the Omniversal Youtuber System rang in my head, cutting through the lingering pain.
[Answer: Origin is the fundamental energy that defines an Original Human. It exists as an unquantifiable force that shapes reality around its wielder. However, unlike supernatural entities who consume Origin for power, Originals do not utilize it in a traditional sense—they are Origin. This makes them naturally violent, adaptive, and resistant to external influences.]
[As for Wendigos… They are a byproduct of supernatural interference in Origin-based worlds. Their existence is not natural, yet they persist due to anomalies, eldritch influence, and sheer hunger.]
I rubbed my temples, sighing. "So, basically, I can't use my own Origin like some kind of magic system, but at the same time, I'm made out of the stuff?"
[Correct.]
"And Wendigos exist because the universe is unfair?"
[Also correct.]
I groaned. This was not good. The SCP Universe was already a death trap, filled with things that should not exist, and now I was one of them.
The ground beneath me felt damp, the air unnervingly cold despite the fact that my body didn't seem to register temperature the same way anymore. The trees around me loomed unnaturally, their shapes twisting at the edges of my vision like something was watching—something hungry.
I clenched my monstrous hand, watching as the black claws twitched in response. It was unsettling how natural it felt, how right it seemed despite its inhuman appearance.
[Adapt EX Reacts:Presence Concealment (F) – Your status as an anomalous entity allows you to instinctively suppress your presence. Stronger entities may still detect you.]
I stiffened. That wasn't one of my Skills.
"Hey, System… was that always there?"
[Negative. This is an effect of Adapt (EX). Your body is responding to the environment and developing necessary survival traits.]
…Right. That should be reassuring, but instead, it just made me more uneasy. If my body was instinctively developing stealth abilities, that meant something nearby was strong enough that I needed to hide from it.
"So do I need a camera or something or do I have to buy it"
[Currently you have a basic Omniverse Youtuber set, Do you want me to list them?]
I exhaled sharply, my breath misting in the cold air. At least the System wasn't leaving me completely empty-handed.
"Yeah, go ahead. What do I have to work with?"
[Ding!]
[Starting Equipment:
Omniversal Recording Device (Basic): A camera linked directly to the System. Can record and stream footage across the Omniverse. Currently has low stealth capabilities and durability but is upgradeable.
Omniversal Interface: Allows access to video editing, comments, and analytics from viewers across different dimensions.
Omniversal Storage (Basic): A small inventory system that can store non-living objects. Currently limited to five slots.
Omniverse Points (OP): Your current balance is 0 OP. Earn points through content creation, viewer interaction, and completing challenges.]
I stared at the text in front of me. "...You're telling me I have to stream in a world filled with unkillable death entities?"
[Correct.]
"And what happens if I die?"
[Your channel will be permanently deleted.]
"Wow. Fantastic. Love the stakes here."
[Do you wish to activate your recording device?]
I hesitated, glancing around at the dark forest surrounding me. I really didn't want to start broadcasting in the middle of nowhere, especially when I had no idea what was lurking nearby. Then again… wasn't that the whole point?
Survival horror content was always popular.
"...Fine. Turn it on, but keep the stream unlisted for now. I want to see how this works before I deal with the Omniversal comment section."
[Understood.]
A small, floating camera materialized in front of me, hovering at eye level. It was sleek and featureless, an obsidian-like sphere that pulsed faintly as if alive. The moment it appeared, I felt an odd connection to it, like an extension of myself.
[Recording…]
A red light blinked to life on the device.
I was now live.
I took a deep breath and looked directly into the lens. "Alright. If anyone ever sees this, welcome to whatever the hell my life is now. Name's Aisle Arceas and I am from another world and I am in a very dangerous one filled with Unstoppable Monsters"
I said as I carefully started walking.
[A viewer. Loved by Witches has joined the stream]
[Loved by Witches: I didn't know YouTube exists in other worlds and a smartphone appearing the moment I got isekai'd here is strange but I am not going to let that offset me, My name is Natsuki Subaru, Nice to meet you Aisle]
Oh...no, I am talking to the wielder of return by death and the one loved by the witch of Envy...should I feel bad for myself or for him but this proves one of my theories, it seems the OYS Is connected to the Omniverse. I decided not to tell him about his coming times of suffering.
"Hello Subaru, nice to meet you and I am pretty sure you are not familiar to this world I am in so let me explain. Currently I am in an unknown forest as you can see and there is something here dangerous enough to alert my senses. which means I am a bit screwed."
[Loved by Witches: Oh? That sounds rough, but hey, you're alive, right? If there's one thing I've learned, it's that being alive means there's still a chance to make things better.]
I sighed. Typical Subaru optimism. He had no idea just how bad the SCP universe could get. Still, the fact that he was here, watching my stream, meant something. Either the System was linking me to other people stuck in similar situations, or it was deliberately bringing in viewers from across the Omniverse who could relate to my predicament.
Either way, I had to keep moving.
The forest around me seemed… wrong. The trees were too tall, their branches stretching unnaturally toward the sky, and the shadows between them twisted in ways that made my head ache. The air was thick with something unidentifiable—an oppressive presence that I couldn't quite place.
[Adapt EX reacts: Instinctive Awareness (F) – Your adaptive nature allows you to sense impending danger more accurately. The more you experience, the sharper this ability becomes.]
[Arthurs Play Thing Has joined the stream]
[Arthurs Play thing :Uh hello, My name is Heo Seol Jin, this app just popped up in my phone, i mean it looked like normal YouTube but it had a very strange logo]
Ah, oh another unfortunately tragic MC, wasn't this Kid from the Webtoon Player?. "Hey Kid, did you get dragged into another world by someone named Arthur and did you have a cute looking Ego Weapon with you"
[Arthurs Play Thing: …Wait, how do you know about that?]
Yep. Nailed it.
I kept my voice casual as I stepped over a gnarled tree root, keeping my senses on high alert. "Call it a hunch. Let's just say I know a lot about tragic protagonists who get thrown into death games. You're in for a rough ride, buddy."
[Loved by Witches: Wait, is this guy another isekai'd victim? Damn, there are more of us?]
[Arthurs Play Thing: …I don't like the way you phrased that.]
Neither did I, honestly. The fact that multiple people from different universes were tuning into my stream, especially ones with their own messed-up stories, meant that the Omniversal Youtuber System wasn't just throwing random viewers at me—it was drawing in people with similar circumstances.
And if that was true, then there was a very real possibility that I'd run into others like me. Others stuck in their own hellish realities, forced to survive against impossible odds.
[Adapt EX Reacts: Omniversal Awareness (F) – Your connection to the Omniverse allows you to recognize and understand entities beyond your reality more intuitively.]
[You have gathered two Viewers, the stream will be locked until a mission is completed and no other viewer can be invited by the system]
[Mission: You are in a strange forest that was once a facility, RULES: 1.DO NOT HURT SCP 239 2. KILL SCP 953 PERMANENTALLY 3. RETRIEVE SCP 2501,]
...From a scale to one and ten i would say i am fucked quite a bit, but why are scp objects from different facilities doing in this forest.
[Reward: The Anomalous land gifted by the Wendigod will fully belong to you and will be hidden by the Miasma]
Is that good...or am I still fucked, I have to kill a psychopathic Kumiho and not hurt an Omnipotent child that was faked into thinking she was a witch and retrieve a pressure controlling gauntlet, This feels like Hard Mode which is probably considered easy mode in this fucked up place.
