Time skip a few days

Well, New Year's Eve was rolling around and Keitaro and Shoko were seen where they were usually found.

In each other arms inside their cozy little home.

The Atmosphere inside the house was quite calm, due to some of Keitaro's shenanigans, the house felt quite warm.

It also had the passive effect of strengthening one body...it wasn't really something you would notice, probably take you a few months to notice you have gotten healthier, but all Keitaro did really was well, place some seals down in which he stored some natural energy.

The seal would slowly release natural energy all over the house in a very small fraction, enough so that it will make you feel at ease, but not enough to remotely turn you to stone.

Even if you were to stay inside the house and near the seals without moving for around 6 months.

Granted if you just stayed there for that long, you would probably die before turning into stone considering you would need to move in order to eat some food.

For someone to turn to stone, they have to purposely try and turn to stone, there was no accident around here.

Shoko seemed relaxed, leaning back on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand.

As the clock neared midnight, Keitaro decided to break the silence that they had been in for the last 30 minutes or so, he looked over at her with a grin. "Happy New Year, Shoko," he said casually, raising his glass.

Shoko smirked at him in response, her gaze was soft but pretty playful. "Happy New Year, Keitaro," she replied, her voice holding a teasing edge.

Something was off, it felt like she was plotting something, something was being planned and he did not know what.

"So, do you have any New Year's resolutions this time?" he asked curiously as he looked at the girl infront of him.

Shoko pondered on the thought for a bit, she even took a sip from her glass before opening her mouth and saying. "What's the point? 90% of people quit theirs in the first three months anyway,"

Well, she wasn't wrong, most people do tend to not hold onto their resolution for the next year, well he usually did keep his, there weren't usually hard to keep.

Like having all A, getting faster, and so on.

"You're not wrong," he admitted, scratching the back of his head. "But is there really nothing you're looking forward to this year?"

He was curious, he wanted to know if there was nothing that could get her interested.

"I have one thing in mind," She said as she looked at him, her hand behind her back, she had this look in her eyes.

For some reason Keitaro could feel nervous, why was she looking at him like that?

"And what that may be" He asked pretty nervous as to what she was trying to imply.

She just smiled as she looked at him.

"You will find out soon enough," She said in a teasing voice...why did he feel scared?

What was this woman planning to do with him this year, he knew it wasn't anything malicious but he felt like something about him would change when she was done.

The Shield that had protected him for his whole life shook to its core, it could feel itself breaking down.

A timer started playing in the background....3 months..... in 3 months or less, the shield would break.

Keitaro however was completely oblivious to that fact...he watched as the girl went to catch on some Z.

As he leaned back in his chair, he received a message from Satoru.

"Sooo did you use mistletoe"

"Really....you couldn't handle having second strongest as your user"

"Whaaaat!, me, never"

"Satoru!"

"....."

[Six Eyes user changed their username to second strongest sorcerer]

"When you come back...I just want you to know...that I will be putting a switch on red just for you"

"I am putting a switch on hollow purple"

"Why so quiet now Minato"

"I wonder if I could put a switch on Kirin"

"I apologize for my outburst"

"Anyway, what was your New Year's resolution"

"That I go on a 2 win victory back to back"

"Satoru... it's a new year...don't make a resolution you cannot keep"

"Are you implying that I can't do it"

" I am not implying anything...I am stating facts"

"Seem like someone growing a pair"

"Plus one look at your username should tell you how far of a reach your goal was"

This little back and forward continued for a while longer before the two sorcerers decided that enough was enough and got ready to go to bed.
