Chapter 17: The competition {17}
In the heart of the battle, Keitaro faced off against a formidable grade-one curse. Swift and focused, he moved with remarkable speed, outmaneuvering the curse and launching precise strikes. The clash of energies filled the air as Keitaro demonstrated his agility and control.
The curse, struggling to match Keitaro's pace, found itself overwhelmed by the relentless assault. Keitaro's movements were a blur, a dance of calculated strikes and evasive maneuvers. With each precise attack, he chipped away at the curse's defenses.
As the battle intensified, Keitaro's mastery over his curse technique became evident. His speed allowed him to dictate the flow of the fight, creating openings and exploiting the curse's vulnerabilities. The encounter showcased not only his physical prowess but also the strategic finesse he had developed in harnessing his supernatural abilities.
As the curse kicked Keitaro away, Keitaro blocked the hit before flipping away and getting back into his fighting stance.
In a moment of strategic brilliance, Keitaro hurled his kunai towards the curse, anticipating its evasive maneuver. The creature, reacting swiftly, ducked under the projectile. Yet, Keitaro, one step ahead, seized the opportunity.
As the kunai hovered above the creature's head, a vibrant ball of blue energy materialized in Keitaro's hands.
The air crackled with the intensity of his curse technique. In a seamless motion, he activated his teleportation ability, instantly appearing above the curse, his outstretched hands carrying the pulsating energy.
With precision and speed, Keitaro slammed the ball of energy into the curse's cranium.
The impact was swift and decisive, a burst of arcane power coursing through the creature. The curse crumpled under the force, defeated in a single, well-executed strike.
The battlefield fell silent as Keitaro, victorious, stood amid the remnants of the encounter. The mastery of his curse technique had proven to be a formidable asset, turning the tide of the battle with a combination of skill, strategy, and swift teleportation.
As Keitaro's victorious strike landed, the curse, now defeated, began to dissipate into a fading mist. The remnants of the curse dissolved into the air, leaving behind only a fleeting echo of its once-threatening presence.
Keitaro, however, didn't revel in the disappearance of the curse in a typical manner. Instead, his focus shifted to a timer that Gojo had set. "10 seconds," Gojo announced, revealing the time it took for Keitaro to eliminate the grade-one curse.
A triumphant grin spread across Keitaro's face. "I am in the lead," he declared proudly. The friendly competition among Keitaro, Gojo, and Geto to see who could defeat a grade-one curse the fastest had a clear frontrunner. Keitaro's time of 10 seconds showcased not only his skill but also his determination to surpass his own limits.
Gojo, accepting the defeat with a smirk, admitted, "Well done, Keitaro." Meanwhile, Geto, who had taken third place, chuckled at the spirited competition among the trio.
The scene reflected not just a victory over a curse but a celebration of growth and friendly rivalry among the skilled sorcerers. The challenge had brought out the best in Keitaro, setting a new personal record and solidifying his place at the forefront of the competition.
"This still doesn't mean that I won't dethrone you soon enough, so enjoy your first place for the little time it lasts," Gojo remarked, a playful challenge in his eyes as he looked at Keitaro.
Keitaro, undeterred, grinned back, exclaiming, "Let's see you try it." The friendly banter between them added an extra layer of excitement to their training, each one eager to outdo the other in the ongoing competition. The spirit of rivalry only fueled their determination to continuously push their limits and refine their skills in the world of curses and sorcery.
"Alright, let's get back to the school," Keitaro declared, taking the lead as he approached Gojo.
Keitaro then put his hands on Gojo's shoulder before suddenly teleporting away toward the school.
It has been a few months since Keitaro joined this world, the world of jujutsu, in that extremely small amount of time.
Keitaro went from a grade 4 sorcerer to a grade one, he went from struggling against a grade 3 curse to being able to speed run a grade one curse and make a special grade curse a mild workout.
His simple technique of just placing down a mark somewhere and teleporting to that mark had been expanded greatly.
During that time he also learned about talisman and chants.
As soon as they arrive, Keitaro opened his mouth before starting to chant.
"Upon the touch, a mark I cast, in realms of curse, our fates contrast. Teleport to symbols, swift and bright, with cursed markings, navigate the night."
As he finished his chant,he felt all of them, all of the marking that he had ever placed,he could feel exatcly where they were and if they were attached to someone,he could feel that too.
Keitaro had done this in order to know where Shoko and Geto where as he couldnt pick them up in his radius.
"Geto is in Fukuoka and Shoko is in the hospital"Keitaro said after a bit as Gojo just nodded.
"Good to know"Gojo said nonchantly.
Over the time that Keitaro had been here he had managed to see another side of the arrongant man known as Gojo Satoru.
He was a rather nice person when he wasnt be a complete dick.
