"Father, I have to go check on Lagertha…and Garmr, after that I'll begin working on a pyre…for mother…" I say to Mikael bile in my throat as I refer to the disgusting creature that was Esther Mikaelson as mother, even with her notes on being remorseful towards how she treated me I still hate her.

Mikael looks to me, with a silent plea in his eyes, not to leave him alone before the look vanishes as he nods while standing up from the ground with Esther's corpse in his hands.

Returning to my hall finding Lagertha lazily lounging with a goblet of blood in her hand as she poked a sleeping Tatia with who is covered in dried blood.

"The transition takes a while longer than you expected it to take my Husband…and I am still unsure as to why you wanted to make…this..like us." Lagertha greets me lazily as Garmr comes over and rubs his body against my legs.

"Hey Gar…I missed you too buddy." I greet as I reach down and pet Gar, "I'm quite upset I didn't get to watch the carnage…remind me how many of the warriors…was I feeding my blood to, again?" I ask Lagertha curiously as Lagertha's face becomes contemplative whilst trying to remember.

"All of the ones loyal to you, my Husband, so a little over three hands." Lagertha replies to me and I know that means I'll have probably around 34-36 Viking vampire warriors under my command.

"Hmm, a small band but enough for three ships." I humm to myself as I look down at Garmr who really is starting to show signs of his age…which are much more noticeable now that I'm a vampire, "How many Daylight rings do we have in reserve?" I ask Lagertha as I kneel down and start petting Gar.

"Five hands, Husband…"Lagertha replies to me while trailing off, 'Good…we have more than enough.' I mutter in my mind pleased at the amount…as I'd completely forgotten how many I made over the course of a month.

"Did the experiment with Roach…work?" I ask Lagertha as I before I tried anything on my precious baby I experimented on my less precious horse.

"Yes, he is full of vitality and youthful vigor and so was the crow I tested…animals can be turned, my Husband." Lagertha replies to me with a soft smile, which I return.

"Garmr…how would you like to be a part of Always and Forever?" Gar tilts his head to the right, looking extremely cute, as I bring my hand up and bite into my wrist and rip it open with my fangs, while grabbing Gar by the scruff of his neck and pulling him closer and Lagertha comes over and gently opens his maw and I let my blood pour into my mouth which he sticks his tongue out to lick trying to heal me.

'Such a good and loving son.' I joke softly in my mind as my wrist closes up and I believe Gar has gotten enough blood and so does Lagertha she hugs my puppy to her chest and suffocates him as I look away unable to watch as he whimpers softly.

"I'm sorry Vidar. I know it's painful for you when he suffers even the smallest bit…but he'll be up and as energetic as he was when he was a season old." Lagertha gently lays Gar down and pulls me into a comforting hug.

"I know it wasn't easy for you either, my wife." I reply back to Lagertha and pull her into a hug of mutual comfort.

"I must go now…I will be making pyres for those that have fallen this day that will and will not rise again." I mutter to Lagertha as I pull away from her hug, and she mine both of us wiping away down tears as we both pet Gar's soft silky feeling fur.

With both Vampire speed and strength and the amount of dry timber from the homes and extra ships that will no longer be needed I made one massive pyre and one smaller one, that was exclusively for Esther as I went around to the men women and children that won't be turning giving them their last rights, arming them with whatever weapons that were laying around.

By the time I was done, over 350 people that I had grown up with, fought beside or just plainly shared a drink with were ready to make their trips to the afterlife while my 36 warriors were stored inside of the major feast hall with buckets of blood that I collected with telekinesis.

Mikael walks out to the small pyre for Esther who is wrapped in a white blanket.

"Father, I hope you understand that Niklaus was justified in killing her…I would have to if she did to me what she did to Nik." I say to the man who nods to me stoically.

"I know my son…I read her writings…" Mikael replies to me while heaving a heavy sigh.

"Try not to…treat any of them too harshly…I must go away for a short time to fulfill part of my cost in getting guidance and insight into creating the immortality spell…but I will meet you in the future." I say to Mikael who turns to look at me with a look in his eyes that says he feels like he's losing everything.

"This price will not put you in danger will it?" Mikael finally asks me and I shrug my shoulders.

"Father…we live in a world of danger…for all we know Dragons could descend and burn us to ash." I joke softly which makes Mikael scoff.

"I…will go after my children, your siblings…can I leave these last rights to you my son?" Mikael asks me and I nod softly, "Go Father, I have everything well in hand." I reply to Mikael with a bit of command in my voice, making a smile split across his face, as he moves forward and pulls me into a one armed hug.

"Live well my son." Mikael says as he speeds away in the direction my siblings fled, 'I'm still unsure how to feel about Bekah leaving me to run off with that lot…but maybe it's for the best.' I mentally sigh.

"I will Father, I will." I say my reply softly , as I start performing the last rights and lighting ablaze the pyres.
