The Weakest to Strongest

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Uproar Days at the House

5 years have passed since the day he came to the Tempest House.

He no longer had to experience the shame of having his nanny replace his diapers, but it was still difficult for him to imitate a child.

'I want to escape already and learn magic.'

The Tempest House.

A house far away from the Samsory family's main house. Every Samsory child cannot take a single step outside the tempest house until they became eight, to protect them from the attempts of assasination.

'What kind of brave assassins would try to assasinate the member of Samsory? Even their worst enemies, the Cresticians, wouldn't dare to.

Actually, there was a certain case around 100 years ago when someone attempted it.

The Kertel Family, another family of knights, had attacked the Samsory, and the 9 young children of the Samsory ended up getting killed.

However, the very next day the entire Kertel family was annihilated, including every family member and the extended families of the servants and branches, had ceased to exist in history.

Ever since then, it had been a tradition and rule within the Samsory household to have every child remain within the Tempest house after their 'Sword Ceremony' rituals until they became 8.

'I'm so bored to death'

The atmosphere in the Tempest house was indeed worthy of its name.

It was located at the center of Mt.Kisarim, which was presumed to be one of the tallest mountains in the world. A tempest was surrounding the castle at all times, during all four seasons. The rain, gales, and lightning constantly affected the mountain top.

'This place is one of the most suitable for training, yet it is not suitable for a child's emotional growth. No wonder my brothers ended up becoming cold, brutal, and violent… it's because this place is a goddamned place.'

There were only 1 other Samsory child, the 4 knights protecting them, their nannies, and the servants were the only people occupying the Tempest house.

"Ruya!"

As soon as he heard the voice calling him, Ruya's frustration and irritation increased.

The boy calling for him with that voice was Datonay Samsory. He was older than Ruya by 3 months.

"Why are you alone without your incredible sword 'larent'? Did you lose it? Kekeke."

The knights were laughing at him.

During his past life, everyone who had dealt with Datonay unanimously agreed on one statement.

That they were the Demon's Lackey.

'These damn annoying brat.'

Ruya turned around to face him.

He had not a single good impression about Datonay.

Datonay bullied him from an early age solely for selecting the Larent during his ceremony.

And one would be severely mistaken to underestimate a 6 years old brat and his harassments.

The first thing his brother did when they left the tempest at the age of 8 in his previous life was to kill someone. That was how messed up his nature was.

As Ruya ignored the mockery, his brother continued to harass him.

Gilly, Ruya's nanny. Temporarily left the Tempest house today, his brother had been eagerly waiting for Gilly to leave, and had no intention to let Ruya spend his day in peace.

"Oi, I'm talking about you. Where's Larent?"

His brother had begun tormenting him one year ago in this life.

It had started off some light harassment that Gilly wouldn't notice. For example his locking the door when Ruya went to the bathroom, or pouring a pack of seasonings in his food.

But afterwards, it began to escalate. He tied a snake on the door knob in Ruya's room, and secretly released a venomous scorpion from the Tempest House's garden onto Ruya's room.

Nonetheless, Ruya had endured the harassment in silence.

His brother approached Ruya with a large number of worms.

"Hm… I'm not sure where I will release this worm, should I stuff it up in your mouth or in your assholes?"

Snap

His brother froze, and stared back and forth to him. That wasn't the reaction his brother expected him to be.

Asshole…

Despite being an innate nature killer, his brother was still a 6 year old child. It was an aggressive term for his brother. When they realized the offensive nature of the expression, his brother began to boil in rage.

"What did you just… Did you finally lose your mind, Ruya"

"Wake up already. Your nanny isn't gonna protect you today."

"Pffft."

Ruya took a step towards his brother.

His brother isn't the only one waiting for his nanny's absence. Rather, Ruya had been waiting for it far more ardently than his brother.

He couldn't wait anymore longer to beat the little demon into submission.

'My past 5 year old self could never even have a thought of standing up against his brother.'

But he was completely different now.

Even if his brother before him were 3 months older, Ruya was confident he could kill him.

Not having realized the urgency of the situation, his brother boldly continued glaring at him.

"If you beg for forgiveness now, I'll let you off by just breaking your arm."

"Otherwise, I'll make sure you're in a state of disable where you can no longer walk."

Approximately 6 steps for a 5-year-old. That was the distance between Ruya and Datonay in Tempest House's hallway.

"Ack!."

The knight looked around the surroundings, only to realize that his young master was being squashed by Ruya underfoot.

Ruya had instantaneously narrowed the distance between them to plant his fist in Datonay's stomach.

"Ehh?"

Ugh.

Eventually, Datonay took a punch in the jaw and stomach and collapsed on the floor. It was his first time being hit in this manner. Moreover, his younger brother's fist felt like a hammer, cold and hard.

"Wh-why did you do that to young master Ruya?"

'What are you going to stop me today, if you are then get hell out and leave. He is not getting away from me today.'

"Y-yes young master Ruya, I'll be taking my leave now."

The instant he got hit, Datonay caught a sign of shadow-like dark aura surrounding Ruya's fist.

But he didn't have time to dwell on it. As he began to return to his senses, another punch came flying at him.

Thwack!

"Uurgh!"

His painful cry couldn't escape from his mouth, as if his throat were blocked by something. All he could do was rack his brains and figure out everything had gone wrong and tears started throbbing down to his face.

No one else was in the hallway.

They had chosen this location specifically to harass Ruya, but his brother could not have imagined that his decision would come back and bite them.

"About that snake you brought at my door, I tore it apart."

Thud, thud, thwack.

Ruya continued straddling the unconscious brother and swung his fist as he spoke in a monotone voice.

'Am I going too far? They are technically still kids.'

A sudden hesitation came over him, but ended up disappearing as quickly as it had come. The previous versions of the 6-year-old brother were far worse than the current him. They even made him swallow pig shit and horse shit.

If Ruya holds back today, his brother would most likely commit a hideous act.

"Phew"

Twitch, twitch.

After a long beating, the body of the unconscious brother began convulsing. His younger brother finally stood up and looked down on him differently.

"You better do your best not to catch my attention starting today. As long as you want to live, that is."

"Young master!"

Having sensed the unusual atmosphere in the house, a knight in charge of their protection came running down the hallway.

He was top-class of a guardian knight, normally wouldn't have been shocked by a fistfight of a kid between the Samsory family.

However, even he couldn't help but stare in disbelief at Ruya who was looking down indifferent towards his brother lying down on the ground.

'The 5-year-old young master beat up his older brother?'

He couldn't believe it. Normally, there should've been a large difference in physique between those 2 brothers. Moreover, Datonay had been learning the Samsory martial arts recently.

"Uuuuugh."

"Young master Ruya, what just…"

The knight asked him as Datonay let out an audible moan.

"They started fighting each other out of nowhere."

"Excuse me?"

"They fought each other"

The knight realized immediately that Ruya was lying, but he couldn't pursue that matter anymore, it might cause a deeper problem. He could see Ruya smiling, as if everything had gone according to his plan.

While the guardian knight's duty was to protect the children of Samsory, he was still an outsider to the family. He was not in a position where he could scold and argue with the young masters.

'I already knew that the childs of Samsory were violent and brutal, but this is just way beyond… I should just report it to the head and stay out of this.'

The knight courteously bowed to Ruya. He may be a 5, but he was still a bona fide Samsory by blood.

"No need. There's somewhere else my brother needs to go."

"Somewhere else? Where's that?

"The grave"

"T-t-t-t-t-the…GRAVE!?"

"Carry them for me."

As the light in Ruya's eyes changed to dark, the knight had no choice but to obey his words. He picked up the unconscious boy on his shoulder.

"Let's go then."

He awkwardly followed the young boy before him. Ruya was heading towards the small mound in the Tempest House's backyard, where a rainstorm was crashing down.

It was the grave prepared for his brother.

"Put him down."

"But Young Master, the storm…"

The fierce rainstorm was about to swallow up the knight and Ruya, not to mention the unconscious boy.

Ruya didn't reply and merely stared at him coldly like death in the eye.

The knight soon realized that it was a command, not a word. He could see it from Ruya's attitude and behavior. It was the behavior and attitude of Samsory who's giving a serious order.

He could never have imagined that a 5-year-old kid could have such a violent and brutal, imposing and kingly aura.

The knight had no authority to refuse. Even if the command was to harm another Samsory, he still couldn't refuse it. In the first place, his brother wasn't awake to order him to refuse.

All he could do was to obey the command of the Samsory before him.

It wasn't up to him to consider the consequences of these orders, it was up to the head of the family and elders. Even if his brother were to die, the Samsory family wouldn't put blame on the knight.

Familial disputes, fights, and quarrels were common within the family.

"I shall comply, Young Master."

He put the boy in front of the grave. The boys were still motionless, except for a few twitches.

His brother were rescued by Gilly a few hours later, and didn't dare to look in Ruya's eyes until the day they left the Tempest House.

***

The continent's western region, one of the most dangerous locations and unprotected areas. Also known as the Demon Sea.

Kaizen had been training in this monster-infested land for half a month now.

He was merely swinging and meditating on the ground, but the monster wouldn't dare to approach him, even the monster with the size of half of the tower.

Soon, a man covered in black coat with the blood of countless monsters walked towards Kaizen.

"Greetings to the head. This is Lrim."

It was the guardian knight who had obeyed Ruya's orders and left Datonay out in the rainstorm twenty days ago.

"Does something important matter?"

Kaizen asked as he slowly opened his eyes.

"I have come to report about a dispute between the young masters at the Tempest House."

"There's no way you'd disturb my training just because of a trivial dispute between children. Speak."

Lrim explained the details of the incident, and Kaizen's face smirked.

"So, did Datonay die?"

"He did get pneumonia, but his lifes isn't in danger."

"Then he must have learnt an important lesson. I see, you may return now."

Lrim had desperately struggled against countless monsters for the whole 5 days just to make this report, but he didn't hold any resentment against the head of the family nor the young master. He silently returned to the Tempest House.

'I should go see the youngest for myself." smirk.

And so, Kaizen made an appearance at the Storm House half a month later.
