Chapter 6: chapter 6
"Follow me and I will lead y'all to the battle room." Daniel told the group.
"The director will never expect us to come!" Damone said in excitement.
"He might be expecting us to come since he has Meria." Abigail said in a sad tone as she tried not to cry again.
"Sweetheart. Everything is going to be okay." Tristin told Abigail as he calmed her.
"But what if I do die? What about our future together?" Abigail said as she had tears in her eyes.
"Who knows what the future has for us. You never know if we were meant to be." Tristin explained to her calmingly.
"I just hope that we're together in the future." Abigail told him as she hugged him.
"Alright, love birds! It's time for the both of you to suit up in armor and don't forget to choose your weapon too." Daniel demanded them in a serious tone.
"I'll see you later babe. I love you darling." Tristin told Abigail as he kissed her.
"Alright. I love you too." Abigail said to Tristin as she kissed him back.
Abigail walked over to the woman's battle room and put on her armor and got a few guns so she had a weapon to keep herself safe. Then she grabbed a shield to have cover from the enemies. Abigail still wondered if she was right about Troy and Meria since she had a future dream.
"Is it possible that I could probably change my future?" Abigail wondered as she thought to herself.
"Abigail! Whatever you do, don't freak out. Just slowly turn around and don't freak out." A female voice explained to Abigail.
"Who are you and what do you want?!" Abigail asked in panic.
"Don't speak out loud! My name is Amilia and I am a demon dragon. Only you can hear and see me. I have connected myself to your mind so we can speak. I have news from Meria. She wanted me to tell you what she said." Amilia explained quickly to Abigail.
"What's going on with Meria? Is she okay?" Abigail asked Amilia as she was still panicking.
"We don't have much time to talk before I get disconnected from you. Meria is being held in a cell. I don't know what they're doing to her for some reason, usually I can see in other places by my mind. I have the power of the wisdom mark. They use some sort of power to keep me from seeing in the cell chambers. You need to be careful on how you're planning the invasion into his lab. I think they put her in a cell to set you up. Do not go to the cell chamber! Instead, go to the lab experiment room and release everyone that is in that room. They will help you take revenge on the director. When you get there, you will find a girl named Jinx hiding outside of the laboratory. She will be waiting for you. The director has her sister Jin. They both have shape shifting powers. I'm sorry but I have to go now! Goodbye Abigail. Good luck!" Amilia quickly explained to Abigail.
"Amilia, wait! I have a question!" Abigail said in panic.
Before Abigail could ask her last question, Amilia was already gone. Abigail's thoughts were going crazy! What were they doing to Meria in the cell chambers? Was this a sign that she was going to die soon?
"Abigail? Are you okay? Who were you talking to?" Tristin asked worriedly as he poked his head into the room.
"I wasn't talking to anybody darling. I was just having another flashback." Abigail lied to him in a sad tone.
"We must hurry then! We are almost ready for the invasion to the director's laboratory." Tristin told her.
"I just need to grab a few things and I'll be ready." Abigail told him as an excuse.
"Alright. I'll be outside the castle getting the soldiers in place." Tristin said as he kissed her.
"Okay sweetheart. I'll see you outside." Abigail said to Tristin as she kissed him back.
Tristin walked out of her room and went outside with the boys as Abigail stayed in her thinking about Meria. Abigail walked around her room to see if her aunt had added anything to her room. Suddenly, Abigail saw something glowing behind one of her books. Then, She walked over to the glowing book and pulled it. The bookshelf opened as a door and Abigail found a room behind her bookshelf!
"What is this room? Was this room meant for me to find?" Abigail thought to herself.
The room had a big black pot, there was a shelf of old books and potions on the right side of the room. There was a wand sitting on a wooden stand that was next to the big black pot. There was also a dusty fortune ball sitting on a table that was on the left side of the room. Then, there was a window in the front of the room. Abigail found a paper hanging on the window that had a prophecy on it. When Abigail took a better look at the prophecy, it was in a different language.
"This better have nothing to do with me." Abigail said in a joking tone.
Out of nowhere, a cat appeared behind her and walked up to her. The cat was black and white. Its left eye was blue and the right eye was green. Abigail saw that the cat was wearing a collar. Abigail checked the cat's name tag which said "Luna" on it.
"Who do you belong to?" Abigail asked sweetly towards the cat.
"My owner died defending this castle." Luna said, answering Abigail's question.
"Y-Y-You talk!" Abigail said in shock as she knelt down next to the cat.
"My other owner enchanted me to be able to talk. You've never seen a smaller animal talk before?" Luna asked sarcastically.
"Who was your other owner?" Abigail asked in a wondering tone.
"It was your grandmother that was my owner. In my opinion, I think your grandmother was a better ruler than your aunt." Luna said as she rolled her eyes.
"Give my aunt some time. She just started ruling the castle. Besides, how did you know who I was?" Abigail asked curiously.
"Well, you look like your aunt and your scent is similar to your grandmother's and your aunt's. It was pretty easy to figure it out." Luna explained.
"Of course." Abigail said in a sarcastic tone.
"But anyways, I noticed that you were looking at the prophecy on the window when you walked in. Before you ask about it, I don't know what it says." Luna said seriously.
"I would think if someone enchanted you to talk, they would have given you the ability to know all things." Abigail said in a sarcastic tone.
"Don't you need to get outside to meet your friends?" Luna said, rolling her eyes as she went and laid down on her bed.
"Yes." Abigail said in frustration.
Abigail grabbed her weapons and everything else she needed for battle, then went outside to meet up with the boys. As Abigail walked outside, she was impressed with the army that the boys had. Abigail suddenly had a great idea that she wanted to do before battle. Abigail walked up the stairs and stood in front of the castle doors blowing a horn to get everyone's attention. All eyes were on her when it got everyone's attention.
"Attention all soldiers! Thank you for coming and willing to risk your life to save people. We appreciate your hard work to help others get ready for battle. Today will be a day that we all will remember as a sacrifice to save others and to save the world! Now who's with me to stop the director and the scientist's?!" Abigail announced proudly to everyone.
The crowd went wild and got excited for battle. Abigail walked to the front of the army and gave Tristin, Daniel and Damone the signal. Abigail got her weapons out and marched her aunt's army to the science lab building for war.
"Are you sure that you're ready for this babe?" Tristin asked her in concern.
"Yes. I'm ready for this. We get to save innocent people that are being tortured and the director killed my grandmother. It's time that the director gets a taste of his own medicine." Abigail said proudly to her boyfriend.
"Now that's the spirit!" Tristin said happily.
"How long do you think it will take to get to the science lab?" Damone asked in a worried tone.
"It would take at least five days to get there if we don't stop so many times." Abigail explained.
"We'll stop for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We'll also stop to sleep but we'll have to set up camp before it gets dark. I'll leave that to you, Daniel, and Tristin." Abigail explained her plan.
"What about you? What will you do?" Daniel asked in confusion.
"I'll be answering questions and I'll be ordering demands. Besides, I am the princess and they will mainly listen to me." Abigail explained to the boys.
"That does make sense and you do have a point." Tristin said
"Now! Let's march this army and defeat the director!" Abigail said in a monstrous and proud voice.
Abigail, Tristin, Damone, and Daniel marched the army through forests, cities, farm lands, small villages, and abandoned areas. As they traveled, they explored some new places and they also kept an eye on their surroundings to make sure that they wouldn't be attacked.
Each day, the sun was bright and it was warm outside. All you could hear was the clanking of metal when the army marched, wagons creaking, and happy conversations between each army member. They stopped for sleep, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and they also stopped two or three times for pit-stops. The first three days were also very quiet. By the fourth day, everyone was actually talking to each other before they went into war.
"Your majesty! Are we almost there?" Tristin said sarcastically with a smile.
"Yes, we're halfway there babe. Are you getting tired of walking? You can ride in one of the wagons." Abigail said with a grin.
"No. I'm good but thank you for asking." Tristin said with a huff of breath.
"How many wagons did you bring?" Damone asked while yawning in boredom.
"I brought ten wagons for all of the stuff that we will be taking with us and for people to ride in if they don't want to walk." Abigail explained.
"Princess! Princess! I have urgent bad news!" Riley shouted as she was running up to Abigail in panic.
"What is it Riley? Tell me!" Abigail demanded in surprise.
"Some of your men have fallen sick and captain Malachie has fallen ill! Not much of my magic is not working for him. My magic is working on the other men but it's barely affecting captain Malachie!" Riley explained while she tried to catch her breath.
"Do you have anyone else that can help?" Tristin asked in a worried tone.
"I would have to call my master for assistance!" Riley answered the question kindly.
"Well? What are you waiting for Riley?! Go get your master for help. He's our only hope for them to get better." Abigail demanded her instructions.
"Yes ma'am!" Riley said, running back to the first aid wagon.
"Who's her master?" Tristin asked in confusion.
"His name is Devron. He's great with magic. He used to run a circus for a living. But then he went to run a different business after that." Abigail explained.
"You called for help, dear old friend?" Devron asked, popping up behind Tristin and Abigail.
"Devron! Thank goodness that you're here! Some of my men have fallen sick and captain Malachie has fallen ill! Please tell me if you can help with the sickness!" Abigail asked Devron kindly.
"I will see what I can do to help. It's nice to see your old friend." Devron said as he disappeared in front of them.
"I'm glad you have back-up to help. Besides, how do you two know each other?" He helped take care of me without my parents knowing. I would go out to the woods to see him. He had a hidden door in a tree and then it would lead you underground to his secret home." Abigail explained part of her back story.
"He looks too young to be helping raise someone. What age is he? He looks pretty young if you tell me." Tristin said, rolling his eyes.
"He's ten years older than me." Abigail told Tristin in an offended tone.
"He's 27 years old! He looks younger than that!" Tristin said in shock.
"Tristin…He's a wizard for crying out loud! Wizards can take any look they want as long as they have the correct potions and the correct spells." Abigail explained.
"He's a wizard!" Tristin said in surprise.
"Yes Tristin! What else did you think he was?!" Abigail asked in frustration.
"I thought he was a sorcerer or an enchanter. I didn't think wizards were an actual thing." Tristin explained his thinking.
"That's the same thing as a wizard Tristin! Have you not done your studying for magic?" Abigail asked as she rolled her eyes.
"I have barely studied while I was looking for you sweetheart. Even when I did finally find you, I had barely studied. I guess I've been too busy being social." Tristin explained to her calmly.
"Babe~ I'm glad you're being a social sweetheart! At least you're finding guy friends to hang out with and you're finding people that will have your back when you need them." Abigail said sweetly as she kissed him.
"I guess I could go study on one of the wagons while we're traveling." Tristin said sarcastically.
"Alright. I'll see you later sunshine." Abigail said as she hugged Tristin.
"If you ever need me, you know where to find me! Bye!" Tristin said as he walked away.
"Princess Abigail! I have great news!" Mack Dream said, appearing by her side.
"Oh! Hello Genie. Please tell me that it is about the sick men and the captain." Abigail asked in a worried tone.
"Well…The captain has gotten better but I do have bad news." Mack Dream said sadly.
"What is the bad news Genie! Tell me at once! I must know!" Abigail demanded in an upset tone.
"Some of your men have died from the sickness. There must have been some sort of poisoning or they were dehydrated. Devron and Riley have not figured it out yet. Though, they are working on finding out how they died from the sickness." Mack Dream explained the bad news.
"How many men did we lose from the sickness?" Abigail asked in a worried tone.
"We have lost 20 men so far. Hopefully we have enough men to fight in the war." Mack Dream said sadly.
"So we only have 80 men left. I hope that is enough men to win this war." Abigail said in a hopeful tone.
"I hope we do. I have to get back to master Devron. Goodbye Princess!" Mack Dream said as he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"Hey Abigail! Did you hear what happened?!" Damone said, running up to her.
"Yes Damone. I know what happened." Abigail said sadly.
"Do you know what caused them to be sick?" Damone asked with wonder.
"Not yet. Devron has not figured it out yet. He's working his magic the best he can right now. I guess it wasn't enough to help the sick men. I wonder how it helped the captain but not some of the army men?" Abigail wondered in curiosity.
"That is a good question. Who is Devron by the way?" Damone asked in confusion.
"I'll explain that later. I need you to go to the aid-wagon and ask Devron who the other men died but not the captain. I don't see how that is possible. I have a bad feeling about this." Abigail Demanded quickly.
"Yes ma'am. But I don't know what he looks like." Damone told her with a questioning look.
"You'll know when you see him. Now go to him quickly!" Abigail Demanded.
"Alright! Alright! I'll go find him." Damone rolled his eyes as he walked away.
"Princess Abigail! Everyone is getting hungry. We must hide in a forest stop for lunch. We can also hunt for lunch if we need to." Daniel announced as he walked up to her.
"Alright. Since we're coming up to a forest, I will announce that to the men. But we must make a grave for our dead men too while we're here." Abigail explained to him about her plan.
"I Agree. We must do that. I will go to the aid-wagon to announce that to the doctors." Daniel said proudly as he ran to the aid-wagon.
"I'm so proud of the boys. They're growing up so fast and starting to turn into grown men. But something feels off about this sickness. It suddenly came out of nowhere!" Abigail thought to herself as she smiled at the thought.
"Princess Abigail! I have urgent news for you!" Riley said in panic as she ran up to her.
"What is it Riley?! Tell me!" Abigail demanded.
"The men were poisoned! We have a traitor among us!" Riley announced in a panicked tone.
"We must check each soldier so we can find the traitor. They will be punished for what they have done. I need you to go announce that we will camp here for now until we find that traitor." Abigail explained in frustration.
"Yes ma'am. I will go do that immediately." Riley said as she walked away.
"This traitor must be found and they will pay for what they have done." Abigail thought to herself in frustration.
