Chapter 045 – Truth
[2009 – June]
Carrying Jean to the bathroom with my shaft still being enveloped by her tight folds, had us both giving off low moans and sighs of pleasure. Once there I set her down on the sink and found her lips for a slow affectionate kiss.
Slowly pulling my shaft from her insides, one of my hands brushed over her thighs and the other was wrapped around her waist.
Breaking the kiss, I looked into her darkened eyes, clouded with a smoldering desire and longing affection. Breathing roughly against her lips while pressing my forehead against her, I tried to rein in the overwhelming urge to take her again.
Jean's hands lovingly massaged my scalp while they were still buried in my hair.
In the end, it took several long minutes of gentle kisses and caresses before I could muster the strength to grab a nearby washcloth. Soaking it with water, I wiped away my seed leaving Jean's lower lips, causing her to moan softly at my touch, before cleaning up myself.
Tucking away my erection inside my underwear and jeans, I grabbed the black lace panties, I had used my barriers to bring along. Setting her down on her feet and having her step into the small clothing article, I dragged it over Jean's smooths legs and hid her slit beneath them while Jean's heated gaze bore into mine.
Next were her skin-tight pants, which I also helped her put on while kissing my way up her legs, arriving at her hips and moving inwards to her belly button. Giving it a short lick that had her inhale sharply and let out a drawn-out moan before I pulled up her zipper and buttoned her jeans.
Her socks found their place a bit faster, after which I stood up and gave Jean a soft kiss on her lips while wrapping my arms around her.
“What do you want to show me?”, Jean asked softly, her hands caressing my cheeks and brushing back my locks, a tender look in her eyes.
Closing my eyes for a moment, simply enjoying her ministrations as I couldn't help but dread what was to come. I knew that what I was about to tell Jean would definitely hurt her deeply, but at this point, I was left with no choice.
Grabbing her hands, I pressed my lips against her palms as I looked at her incredibly beautiful face. Not answering her question, I stole one last kiss from her rosy lips before I moved back to my bedroom, holding her hand and dragging her along gently.
Opening a quick portal after grabbing a jacket, I pulled her through it and we appeared on the roof of a skyscraper in New York.
Throwing the jacket over her shoulders to shield Jean from the cold, I cradled her cheeks in my palms, softly brushing my fingers over her skin, as I looked into her innocent and trusting eyes.
Finding it hard to choose the right words, I couldn't help but let out a sigh as I started hesitantly: "Jean, I- … I want to show you a memory of mine from my conversation with the Professor earlier today. It's- …"
…
Looking up at Elijah's charming face, sporting a deeply troubled look, Jean couldn't help but raise her hand and brush his hair back lovingly, trying to give him comfort when he was so obviously struggling.
“It's ok, you don't have to. I trust you.”, she voiced out gently, trying to reassure him.
"No, I have to.", Elijah voiced out, a pained and sorrowful look in his eyes as he continued, "But it will cause you great heartache, my love."
Her breath hitched for a moment as she saw the obvious reluctance to cause her pain in his eyes. And even though she was a bit fearful of what he wanted to show her, Jean couldn't help but tiptoe and press her lips against his softly, as she whispered: "If you stay with me, it will be ok."
“I will.”, he promised quietly, his eyes closing, as he pressed his forehead against her.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw an almost completely black barrier appear around them, and for the first time, her telepathy wasn't completely blocked from Elijah's mind.
Guessing his intentions, Jean also closed her eyes as she immersed herself in what he wanted to show her.
…
“Jean is actually who I wanted to talk to you about.”
“ … It is why I normally help her in dealing with incidents such as yesterday's and make sure the control mechanisms of her powers are all in place.”
“Control mechanisms?”
“As a child, Jean was unable to control her powers, so I had placed some mental limiters on her powers …”
“Does she know about that?”
"No. These limiters are only as effective as they are because she does not know."
"I am afraid after yesterday's mission and the traumatic impressions that came with it, coupled with Jean's loss of control in the training room earlier this day, that the limiters have started to loosen. … your barriers may be the cause for that. You have to understand that Jean is not only a danger to others in this state but most importantly to herself. It is imperative that her powers are kept in check."
"You are basically asking me to help you invade Jean's mind … I have to think about this."
"I am asking you to help protect Jean, Elijah. But I understand that this may seem a bit much all at once, so take your time. Though remember that even I can't be sure how long the limiters will hold if something isn't done soon."
…
It felt as if her heart had been torn out of her chest, listening to the Professor's words and the betrayal of her trust they stood for. Tears ran down her cheeks, as she buried her head in Elijah's shoulder while sobs of pain and anger shook her lithe form.
His strong arm wrapped around her waist, pressing her tightly into himself while her arms around his neck did the same. His other hand gently brushed through her hair, as he whispered soothingly: "I am here. It's okay, just let it all out."
Her hold on her power was weakened due to the strong turmoil in her heart, causing flames to pour out of her body, though she was too preoccupied to notice. Thankfully Elijah had foreseen this and had protected not only their surroundings but also their clothes.
It took several long minutes for her to calm down somewhat, as she lay powerless in his embrace.
She vaguely felt him levitate them to the edge of the building and sit down with her in his arms.
Jean's mind was in a mess realising that the home she thought she had in the mansion, was nothing but a cage built up of lies.
The only reason she wasn't breaking down completely, was Elijah's presence and warmth that gave her mind and heart a safe place to retreat to.
