The Villainous Young Master’s Life in Another World

chapter 26

Meanwhile less than ten miles away from Gu Ming inside a mountain cave where afternoon had just arrived,

A young man dressed in tattered clothes nervously approached.

“Mo, I finally found you guys.”

Gus rushed into Moore’s embrace, sobbing uncontrollably. The past half-day had truly terrified him; as a second-tier player in this secret realm, he was as vulnerable as chives. any encounter with a formidable demon could have been fatal. Fortunately, perseverance paid off; despite being chased by some demons along the way, he survived.

Seeing Gus’s filthy appearance, Moore disdainfully kicked him to the ground.

“Mo?”

Gus sat on the ground, looking up at him like a wronged little wife.

Moore ignored him and turned to another person inside the cave.

“Cousin, it looks like we’re all relying on you this time.”

“Mm.”

Fordley Gerwood responded lukewarmly.

Moore wasn’t annoyed; in fact, he was used to it. He had long known that his cousin looked down on him internally for being from a collateral branch of the family. If it weren’t for his father becoming a powerful sixth-tier mage and joining the main lineage…

He wouldn’t even be here protecting them. perhaps not even admitted to this academy.

Being third-tier was indeed impressive for a newcomer but meant little in the eyes of fifth-tier powerhouses. they were no different from ants.

“Tell me then. who are we teaching a lesson?”

“Just wait a moment,” said Moore as he pulled out a mirror from his belt. A red dot on its surface marked Gu Ming’s location clearly.

“Cousin, this guy isn’t far from us; shall we set off now?”

Gerwood shook his head.

“No rush; it’s getting dark soon and night creatures are strong. We’ll rest here tonight and leave tomorrow. he won’t get away.”

Without further words, Moore silently began spreading dry grass inside the cave with Gus. his heart growing increasingly eager for tomorrow’s arrival.

Nightfall

Gelmu was suddenly struck by an urgent need to urinate in the middle of the night. After deactivating his protective barrier, he held it in all the way to a small grove, where he finally began to relieve himself. Just as he was about to pull up his trousers and leave, a third-tier venomous giant lizard burst out from the bushes. Its poisonous tongue nearly hit Gelmu’s cartilage, frightening him so much that he forgot his family’s famous combat techniques. Instinctively, he delivered a powerful enchanted tortoise punch directly onto the body of the giant lizard. Struck by the punch, the lizard flew dozens of meters away and landed on a rock; it staggered up like a drunkard only to collapse lifeless.

Seeing that danger had passed, Gelmu cursed as he pulled up his trousers and shot several fireballs at the dead lizard until nothing but ashes remained.

“Damn beast! Trying to ambush me? I’ll show you an ambush!” He spat disgustedly.

After stomping on its ashes several times in frustration, Gelmu managed to calm down from his frightful encounter and walked away.

Unbeknownst to him as he left was that beneath one of those shattered rocks lay a suppressed altar which now emitted puffs of black smoke that looked ominously sinister.

“Iphis is finally free! A body. I need a body.”

The black smoke quickly moved towards Gelmu’s body. He felt a shiver run through him but noticed no other abnormalities after jumping twice.

“What’s going on? Why does it suddenly feel colder around here? Is it just my imagination?”

He dismissed this thought almost immediately without further concern.

“Perfect. a perfect vessel! A magic swordsman. I never expected such an ideal host would be one,” lamented Iphis regretfully within himself. “My current power is too weak; I cannot take full possession yet. it seems I must bide my time residing here for now.”

Introduction: Why is possessing the body of a magic swordsman considered perfect?

Most magic swordsmen have magical capacities similar to ordinary magicians but also possess warrior-like physical prowess. Demons capable of possessing others can rapidly absorb their host’s magical energy without risking magical overload due to their foundational warrior skills.

The Next Day

“Can you hurry up already?”

“Yes. sorry!”

Gasping for breath, Gis struggled with Moor’s impatience.

“No more talking. we’re here.”

Gelmu raised his hand to interrupt the two, his eyes fixed on Gu Ming ahead. Moore followed his gaze, and upon seeing Gu Ming’s figure, a surge of jealousy, anger, and excitement filled his entire being.

Ahead, Gu Ming was dealing with a fourth-tier Swiftwind Rabbit. It wasn’t that it was difficult to fight, but rather that the creature was quick on its feet, having been running ever since it laid eyes on Gu Ming. Gu Ming couldn’t help but lament that when it came to fleeing, it was a professional.

Gu Ming no longer wanted to play a cat-and-mouse game with it, preparing to send it to the heavens with a Thunderfall spell. But just as he was about to cast it, he sensed the presence of people and quickly canceled the spell, sparing the rabbit’s life.

“Come out, everyone. Don’t you know that peeping is very impolite?”

With a casual flick, Gu Ming sent a Fireball spell in Gelmu’s direction.

Crack. a large tree fell, revealing the figures of three people.

Seeing that their ambush had failed and preparing for a direct confrontation, Gelmu threw a punch, but Gu Ming was unafraid. Their fists collided, and Gu Ming stepped back two paces, while Gelmu retreated four.

Clap, clap, clap. Gelmu couldn’t help but applaud Gu Ming.

“Young man, you indeed have some strength. How about this, if you agree to work for me, I’ll let you go today.”

Moore panicked, afraid that Gelmu would really let Gu Ming go, and quickly advised,

“Cousin, you promised me.”

Gelmu looked at him with disdain,

“What are you to command me? If not for your father having some strength, you think you, a waste, could join my Fulrite family?”

Moore’s face turned red with humiliation, but he dared not retort. Instead, he cursed Gelmu’s ancestors over and over in his heart.

Seeing that Gu Ming had yet to respond, Gelmu grew dissatisfied,

“Well, have you considered it?”

Gu Ming, who had been watching their dog-eat-dog squabble, snapped back to reality upon hearing the question and flatly refused,

“Not interested.”

Hearing Gu Ming’s refusal, Gelmu felt he was being disrespectful and wanted to explain the pros and cons.

“Kid, you might be a fifth-tier, but there are differences even among the fifth-tiers. I only used a fraction of my power just now. You surely don’t think you stand a chance against me, do you?”

“Oh, that’s funny, I only used about ten percent of my strength too.”

Seeing Gu Ming still daring to insult him, Geremu didn’t say another word and drew his long sword, slashing at Gu Ming’s head.

“Ungrateful wretch, die!”

Gu Ming also drew his sword to block the fierce onslaught and, seizing an opportunity, thrust his sword towards Geremu’s chest. The tip of the blade skimmed across Geremu’s chest, drawing a trickle of fresh blood. Seeing this, Geremu flew into a rage, abandoning his previous nonchalance.

“b*stard, you’ve really angered me now, Flame Dance!”

Suddenly, flames erupted around Geremu’s sword blade, striking against Gu Ming’s blade and sizzling as if it would melt his silver sword.

“Now you see how formidable I am. It’s too late to beg for mercy. Soon, I will make you kneel and bow before me, Spirit of Fire… Crimson Wolf!”

Geremu shifted his stance and a large wolf, engulfed in flames, charged from behind Gu Ming towards him.

From behind the bushes, Moor witnessed the scene, almost seeing a future where Gu Ming was devoured by the fiery shadow.

Facing the fire wolf, Gu Ming remained utterly calm, countering it effortlessly with his star control technique. The reason he had been sparring with Geremu for so long was merely because he couldn’t decide what to use. afraid that the Meteor Sword Technique might accidentally kill him, and black magic would definitely kill him. Although they were fiercely fighting, it wasn’t to the death, and Geremu had a teleportation card on him; letting him escape would be a real joke.

After much thought, he chose the humble Fireball spell. While not very damaging to a fifth-tier, its frequency made up for it.

After defending against the fire wolf, Gu Ming engaged Geremu again, occasionally hurling a fireball at him. By the end, most of the hair on Geremu’s head had been singed off by the fireballs, making him look rather comical.

“You dare to insult me like this, Spirit of Fire…”

Before he could finish the incantation, Gu Ming pressed down on Geremu’s sword with one hand and slapped him across the face with the other, sending him rolling on the ground three times before he stopped.

Lying on the ground, Geremu couldn’t believe he had been flipped onto the ground with a slap, but what followed was limitless shame and rage.

“How dare you, ah!”

“What, didn’t you say you wanted me to humiliate you? Then, of course, I must show you some real humiliation.”

“Ah, b*stard, b*stard, do you know who I am? Do you know what happens to those who offend me?”

Gu Ming casually cleaned his ears, showing no indulgence, sheathed his long sword, and slowly took out a cold weapon (a brick) from his space, forcefully hurling it towards his face.
