Due to the chaos caused by the Green Goblin, Midtown Tech High School ended its first day back early.
Peter returned home, his mind foggy and his body overwhelmed by exhaustion.
As soon as he walked through the door, Aunt May gave him a big hug.
"Oh my God, thank goodness you're okay."
"I heard about what happened at the school. I can't believe someone could be so evil!!"
Aunt May's face was filled with worry and fear.
Uncle Ben, who had rushed home from work after hearing the news, added, "Peter, your Aunt May was terrified."
"What measures did the school take? Having someone like that in the city is truly frightening."
"I'm fine, don't worry," Peter replied groggily.
Ever since choosing the Villainous Superhero path, he had been feeling disoriented for hours.
It was like he had participated in a sports marathon and then pulled two all-nighters at an internet café. He felt like he could collapse at any moment.
All he wanted now was to fall into bed and sleep.
"Uncle Ben, Aunt May, I'm fine. I just need to get some rest."
With that, he turned and headed upstairs.
"Poor Peter, he must be terrified," Aunt May said, watching his retreating figure with concern.
"I'll make him something nice for dinner."
Uncle Ben nodded. "I'll go buy some meat."
For their family, meat wasn't a luxury, but it wasn't something they ate often either.
The Parker family's financial situation could best be described as tight.
Peter's excellent grades had earned him significant tuition waivers, but the remaining costs still put a lot of pressure on the household.
Aunt May worked as a family law consultant. At her age, it was rare to see someone still active in that field, but her income helped ease some of the burden on Uncle Ben.
Peter slept for what felt like an eternity.
When he woke up again, it was already dark outside.
He stretched and instinctively reached for his glasses on the nightstand.
But when he put them on, his vision was blurry.
When he took them off, his sight became crystal clear.
His nearsightedness was gone?!
Peter jumped out of bed excitedly and looked at himself in the mirror.
His once scrawny body was now a thing of the past.
In its place was a muscular, well-defined physique!
Every punch he threw radiated power!!
Even his height had increased.
Unfortunately, he didn't have superhuman physical abilities yet.
But in a way, the abilities he had gained were incredibly overpowered.
"Peter, are you still sleeping?"
Aunt May's voice came from outside the door.
Before Peter could respond, Aunt May walked in. The moment she saw Peter, her eyes widened in shock.
"My God, Peter, when did you get so muscular?"
"I've been working out all vacation," he lied casually.
"Come downstairs for dinner!"
"You have no idea how long you've been asleep—a full day and night! We couldn't wake you up. George even called a doctor, who said you were just exhausted."
"That's when we finally relaxed."
Peter scratched his head, feeling guilty for worrying his family.
At the dinner table, Aunt May had prepared lamb.
Peter wasn't particularly fond of it, but compared to the uncastrated, gamey pork commonly found in America, it was a significant improvement.
Peter noticed Aunt May's downcast expression.
"Aunt May, don't worry. I was just tired from working out. There's no need to be concerned!"
Uncle Ben chuckled.
"Your Aunt May was insulted by a client."
"Someone seeking family legal advice online video-called her and, upon seeing her face, realized she was older than they expected. They proceeded to verbally insult her."
"But what can you do?"
Uncle Ben took Aunt May's hand and comforted her softly, "Don't be upset. Everyone ages. There's no need to be angry over a jerk."
Just then, Uncle Ben noticed something strange about Peter and was startled.
The veins on Peter's forehead were bulging, his eyes slightly red, and his expression dark and menacing.
"Peter, what's wrong?!!"
