The next morning, Peter was invited to attend Dr. Otto Octavius's nuclear fusion experiment.
This was an experiment destined to fail. The reason he went was to try to change Otto's fate.
He couldn't just sit back, watch Otto become Doctor Octopus, and then mercilessly take him out for the sake of points, could he?
That wasn't Peter's style.
In the morning, due to the importance of Otto's experiment, the laboratory at Oscorp was packed with reporters.
Surprisingly, despite the significance of the project, Norman Osborn was not present.
Seeing that everyone had arrived, Otto began his presentation.

"Now, let me introduce my assistant!"
With that, he removed a white cloth, revealing four mechanical arms resembling octopus tentacles.
"These four mechanical arms were designed to handle nuclear fusion. High temperatures and magnetic forces have no effect on them."
Otto then attached the four mechanical arms to his body.
A neural sensor device, resembling a spine, tightly adhered to his back.
In the next moment, the mechanical arms began to move according to Otto's will.
They were as flexible as human arms.
"My brain, through neural links, controls these AI-powered arms. Nanoneural wires directly transmit commands."
"Allowing me to operate them in extremely dangerous conditions."
A reporter couldn't help but ask:
"Since these arms have artificial intelligence, aren't you worried they might take control of you?"
Otto smiled slightly.
"Good question. That's why I developed an inhibitor chip to protect my brain!"
Soon, Otto began the experiment.
Under the control of the mechanical arms, a small fireball was born within the massive device in front of him.
Then, the fireball began to grow rapidly.
Otto's sunglasses reflected the image of the fireball.
He couldn't help but say:
"The power of the sun is in my hands!"
Up to this point, everything was going as Peter had anticipated!
Suddenly, his brain buzzed.
Spider-Sense!
In the next second, the nuclear reaction went out of control. The magnetic force generated by the "fireball" increased dramatically!
Necklaces worn by reporters in the front row were pulled into the device!
The entire laboratory was thrown into chaos!
Because the walls of the laboratory were lined with iron sheets, the sheets began to creak under the intense magnetic force.
Suddenly, with a loud bang, a piece of iron sheet was ripped off and flew toward the source of the nuclear reaction.
"Stop it!!"
Amid the chaos, someone shouted at Otto.
"It's fine! This is a normal reaction. I can control it!!"
This experiment was Otto's life's work. Asking him to give up now was like asking for half his life!
As the reaction grew more intense, a large piece of iron sheet hurtled toward Rosie!
At that moment, time seemed to stand still. Peter, already in his suit, moved at top speed to save Rosie.
This should change Doctor Octopus's fate, right?
With the bond of family, Otto shouldn't be so easily controlled by the mechanical arms.
However, several images suddenly flashed in Peter's mind.
The Precognition Potion had taken effect. He saw Rosie's fate.
In the vision, Otto, controlled by the mechanical arms, killed his wife in her sleep.
"Damn it!"
Peter, holding Rosie, shut off the power to the nuclear reactor.
Then, in the blink of an eye, he took Rosie to England.
The entire process took only a few seconds.
On his way out of New York, he even spotted Gwen fighting the Vulture!
"Is today really this hectic?!!!"
Peter cursed under his breath.
"Mrs. Rosie, stay here. Otto has been taken over by the mechanical arms he invented. If you want him to be safe, stay here."
After saying this, Peter left a spider tracker on her.
In the next second, he was already on his way back to New York.
