The Villainous Me, Forging a System Every Day

Chapter 8

Chapter 8: The Position Is Stable, The Maids Are All Spies:

The voice of the Sect Master echoed through the air, his authority evident as he intervened to separate the two combatants.

Hua Qiandi remained calm, fully aware that the elders had been watching them all along.

On the other hand, Zhan Wei wore a look of frustration.

Despite crossing into a higher realm, he couldn’t defeat Hua Qiandi and felt the sting of disappointment. He knew the Sect Master had witnessed it all.

“Greetings to the Sect Master!” Everyone said in unison, their voices filled with respect.

“Hmm.” the Sect Master replied, though he did not appear in person. His voice seemed to descend from the heavens, imbued with a divine power.

“I have observed your matches, and you all performed admirably. In particular, Hua Qiandi has been the most surprising! To fight with such extraordinary strength while still in the Heaven and HuMan realm is remarkable. Among the contemporary geniuses, you have secured a place for yourself. You will undoubtedly become a pillar of our Heavenly Demonic Sect!”

The crowd was abuzz.

The Sect Master’s praise was unmistakable, a clear recognition of Hua Qiandi’s status. His position as the Holy Son candidate was now secure.

“Thank you for your praise, Sect Master.” Hua Qiandi responded, his demeanor calm and unshaken. He had cultivated a mastery over his emotions, ensuring that nothing could disturb his composure.

“Well done.” the Sect Master continued. “Hua Qiandi, I have a question for you. Who taught you your skills?”

Everyone leaned in, eager to hear his response.

Hua Qiandi answered with respect, “They were taught to me by the senior.”

At this, many in the crowd exchanged envious and jealous glances.

The identity of the senior was well-known, though his origins remained a mystery. Despite his strange nature, the senior was recognized as the strongest figure in the Heavenly Demonic Sect.

His mere presence was said to make the Sect as stable as Mount Tai. If not for his madness, he might have even become one of the high elders of the Sect. To be guided by him was an incredible fortune.

The elders, hidden from view, nodded in agreement. Only that senior could teach such unique techniques.

“What exactly did he teach you?” the Sect Master asked, his tone suddenly more urgent.

Hua Qiandi shook his head. “I don’t know, Sect Master. He simply instructed me to learn, and I followed. Before I realized it, I had mastered the skills.”

“Could you teach us what you’ve learned?” An elder interjected, unable to contain his curiosity.

“Yes.” Hua Qiandi replied without hesitation. Everyone’s faces lit up with anticipation.

Hua Qiandi continued, “As long as the senior agrees, I will gladly share what I’ve learned.”

The room fell silent as everyone inwardly cursed his clever evasion.

If they could go directly to the senior, why would they need to ask Hua Qiandi?

Hua Qiandi smiled inwardly, knowing that none of them dared approach the old madman. Despite his insanity, the senior’s strength was unparalleled, and when he lost control, he was a force to be reckoned with.

Having failed to extract any useful information, the Sect Master and the elders had no choice but to give up.

The Sect Master then made an official announcement: “From this moment forward, Hua Qiandi is the fourth Holy Son candidate of the Heavenly Demonic Sect. He represents the younger generation of our Sect and is now qualified to compete for the position of the Holy Son. This decree shall be announced to the public without error!”

This declaration cemented Hua Qiandi’s status, recognized by both the Sect Master and the higher-ups of the Sect.

“Thank you for your recognition, Sect Master!” Hua Qiandi responded loudly.

“Dismissed.” The Sect Master said as he departed.

Once the Sect Master was gone, the atmosphere relaxed.

Leng Yaoyue, with a clever smile, approached Hua Qiandi. “Congratulations, Junior Brother Hua. You’re now truly become the Holy Son candidate!”

“Congratulations, Junior Brother.” Xue Wuhen added, though his smile was forced. It was clear that Hua Qiandi was now a serious rival.

“You’re strong, Junior Brother. I acknowledge your strength.” Zhan Wei said, hefting his large axe.

“I look forward to working with all of you, brothers and sisters!” Hua Qiandi replied with a smile. The four exchanged polite words, all fully aware that the real competition for the Holy Son’s position had just begun.

Who would prevail would depend on their future actions.

Not long after, Hua Qiandi returned to his quarters. He wasn’t alone; he was accompanied by four beautiful and elegant maids, a privilege granted to the Holy Son candidates. Though he had little use for such attention, he accepted it nonetheless.

However, when Hua Qiandi reviewed their backgrounds using a special system, he discovered something unusual. Each maid had a hidden identity.

Lu Yi, an outer disciple, was actually a spy for the Sect Master.

Ye Shan, another outer disciple, was a spy sent by the Great Elder.

Lan Xiu, also from the outer sect, was a spy for the powerful demonic force, the Poison God Sect.

Bai Zhu, yet another outer disciple, was a spy sent by the righteous Taixu Holy Land. None of them were innocent!

All four had infiltrated his household using unknown means.

Hua Qiandi couldn’t help but feel that life in the Heavenly Demonic Sect was becoming increasingly interesting.

Back at his residence on the Great Dream Peak, Hua Qiandi addressed the maids, “There are only two people on the Great Dream Peak: myself and the senior. However, the senior lives in the back mountain and has a very peculiar temperament. You must not disturb him, or you will face the consequences.”

“Yes, Young Master!” The four maids replied in unison.

“You will live here from now on. Choose your rooms as you see fit. If you perform well, I will guide your cultivation, provide you with elixirs, and teach you techniques to aid in your training.”

The reason these outer sect disciples agreed to become maids was their hope of gaining access to cultivation resources. Male disciples, like the now-deceased Tu Shan, had similar motivations.

Such was the harsh reality of the cultivation world—brutal and unforgiving.

“Thank you, Young Master!” The maids exclaimed, visibly delighted.

Hua Qiandi nodded in satisfaction, then pointed to Lu Yi. “You will serve me tonight.”

“Yes, Young Master,” Luyi responded shyly.

No matter their true intentions, Hua Qiandi knew to take advantage of the benefits presented to him. The other three maids quietly left the room, closing the door behind them.
