Chapter 7:
Chapter 7: If I Told You to Call Me Daddy, Then I’ll Make Sure You Do:
“Li Feng, issue a bounty! I want him dead!”
“What? A bounty!”
Zhou Suyun felt more humiliated than ever. Being verbally insulted was one thing, but this man had slapped her in front of everyone. To her, this was an unforgivable humiliation. If she didn’t kill him, her life would be ruined.
She immediately gave the order to Li Feng, her subordinate nearby. The crowd’s faces paled at the mention of a bounty. They knew all too well what this meant.
Anyone who could take out Yang Lu would receive a massive reward. With this bounty issued, everyone in the underworld would be gunning for him.
They looked at Yang Lu with pity. Sure, he’d been impressive and arrogant just moments before. But what did it matter? Now that the bounty was out, he was as good as dead. After all, it’s easy to dodge a spear in the open but hard to avoid an arrow in the shadows. He had been far too reckless.
If they were in his shoes, they’d be on their knees, begging Zhou Suyun for mercy. It might not help much, but at least there’d be a slim chance. Once the bounty was active, though, he wouldn’t stand a chance.
Yet, despite hearing Zhou Suyun’s words, Yang Lu showed no sign of fear. He strode over, grabbed her by the collar, and started dragging her outside.
She’s arrogant? Well, I’ll put an end to that! Competing with someone who’s read the novel? She’s asking for it.
“What is he doing?”
“Is he planning to kill Zhou Suyun?”
“If he kills her, her entire gang will wipe out his family!”
The crowd watched in disbelief as Yang Lu didn’t apologize but instead dragged Zhou Suyun out. What was he planning?
“Put her down!”
“Oh no, Zhou Suyun’s strongest henchman is here—Iron Hammer! This guy’s done for!”
Just as Yang Lu was about to leave with Zhou Suyun, a towering man with a group of enforcers burst through the door. Leading them was none other than Iron Hammer, Zhou Suyun’s most powerful subordinate.
The men behind him didn’t look like pushovers either. It seemed Yang Lu wouldn’t live long enough to see the bounty take effect.
Seeing Iron Hammer and the others, Zhou Suyun’s heart finally settled. She prepared to sneer at Yang Lu, but before she could, she froze.
In the past, the sight of such powerful thugs would have terrified Yang Lu. But now, he had reached the 3rd level Nine Yang Divine Art.
Without hesitation, he stepped forward, his right foot smashing down on the marble floor, which cracked beneath him. Then he raised his right fist and punched towards Iron Hammer.
At this moment, Zhou Suyun could feel the heat radiating from Yang Lu, as if she were holding an electric blanket.
She wanted to yell at Iron Hammer and his men to dodge, but it was too late.
Yang Lu’s punch sent a scorching wave of pressure surging toward them. Under the force, Iron Hammer and his men flew backward, collapsing instantly.
Just one punch had taken them all down. That was the power of the Nine Yang Divine Art!
Zhou Suyun, dangling like a ragdoll in Yang Lu’s grip, looked on in disbelief. What kind of strength was this? He’d been holding back all along!
For the first time, she regretted provoking him. Only one person she knew might have the ability to deal with someone like him.
“Pathetic fools!”
After easily dispatching them, Yang Lu mocked the fallen men—just a little self-expression befitting a villain. With that, he dragged Zhou Suyun out of the bar.
It was a while before the people in the bar regained their senses. They exchanged glances, then muttered in awe.
“Incredible.”
After leaving the bar, Yang Lu threw Zhou Suyun into his car and hit the gas.
“Where are you taking me? Are you planning to kill me?”
Sitting in the car, Zhou Suyun didn’t struggle, knowing that angering him could get her killed instantly. She was curious, though—where was he planning to take her? His answer made her even more furious.
“I told you to call me Daddy. Since I said it, I’ll make sure you do.”
“Ugh, don’t even think about it.” She spat, furious at his shamelessness. Even if he killed her, she would never call him that. She had her pride!
Yang Lu smirked, hearing her defiance.
‘Let’s see if you’re still this stubborn later. I know all your weaknesses.’
Just then, his phone rang.
Glancing at the caller ID, he let out a wicked smile. The person calling wasn’t just anyone—it was Lin Xiaohan. This must be the first time she’d ever called him of her own accord.
