Chapter 5:
Chapter 5: A Villain Should Act Like a Villain:
When Zhou Suyun finished speaking, the people around looked at Yang Lu with sympathy. No matter which option he chose, he was bound to lose both his arms. But he had brought this upon himself. Of all people to provoke, he chose the Jade-Faced Demoness? Didn’t he know that anyone in Dragon City would avoid her at all costs?
It didn’t matter that he was just an ordinary rich kid; even a top-tier heir would be unable to keep their hands intact once Zhou Suyun set her sights on them. She always meant what she said.
Recently, rumors had spread that Zhou Suyun had gained a powerful backer, someone so formidable that even masters in martial arts were no match for him.
The onlookers were already envisioning Yang Lu writhing in pain on the ground. But Yang Lu’s response shocked them to the core.
“Who do you think you are, telling me to apologize?”
Yang Lu stood up, a look of disdain on his face. She really thought she was something special, didn’t she? In the end, she was nothing more than a tool for Zhao Ritian, just another lapdog.
Others might fear her, but he certainly didn’t. If he was going to be a villain, he’d fully embrace the role.
“He’s lost his mind!”
“The entire Yang family is doomed now.”
“Standing up to the Jade-Faced Demoness—what was he thinking?”
The moment Yang Lu finished speaking, the crowd’s faces changed. Some people even backed away from him. At first, insulting the woman next to Zhou Suyun might have earned him a beating, but openly defying Zhou Suyun herself? That put his whole family at risk.
Given her ruthless nature, Zhou Suyun wouldn’t rest until she’d flattened the Yang family completely.
Zhou Suyun was momentarily taken aback by Yang Lu’s words, but she quickly recovered. She had never expected a mere Yang family member to speak to her like this. Slowly, she began to clap.
Clap, clap, clap.
“Impressive. You’re the second person to talk to me like that.”
“Now, let’s see if you have what it takes to back up your words. Break him!”
If someone was going to be arrogant, they needed the strength to support it. And this guy clearly didn’t have it. She was going to make him pay the highest price for his insolence.
Yang Lu rolled his eyes at her words. The second person to speak to her like that? No doubt the first was Zhao Ritian.
Comparing him to that trash protagonist? What an insult!
Zhou Suyun’s men were itching for action. They had been waiting for permission to take him down; his arrogant mouth was infuriating. Now that the boss had given the order, they charged at Yang Lu.
To the onlookers, Yang Lu stood no chance. These men were all muscular and fierce, while he looked comparatively scrawny. They doubted he could withstand a single punch. Poor guy.
“You’re dead meat, kid!”
One of the thugs reached Yang Lu first, thrilled to think he’d claim the credit for taking him down. He swung his fist towards Yang Lu.
“Overestimating yourself!”
To his surprise, Yang Lu raised his own fist to meet the thug’s punch. What a fool—trying to go toe-to-toe with him?
Zhou Suyun smirked at the sight.
Did he really think he could fight back?
She knew how powerful Zhang Hu’s fists were. A black belt in Taekwondo, he once killed a pig with a single punch. Yang Lu’s arm would be shattered.
Bang!
Crack!
“What?!”
But in the next moment, Zhou Suyun’s face twisted in shock. As their fists collided, Zhang Hu’s arm snapped, sending him flying backward.
This… how was this possible?
What came next left Zhou Suyun even more astounded.
“A bunch of ants!”
After sending Zhang Hu flying, Yang Lu glanced disdainfully at the remaining men. With his second level Nine Yang Divine Art, they were no match for him.
He launched himself at the group, punching each of them with the force of a wild tiger.
Bang, bang, bang.
With a series of loud crashes, Zhou Suyun’s top fighters were all downed, leaving the onlookers speechless.
How could he be so strong? They had all thought Yang Lu was being foolishly overconfident, but now it seemed they were the foolish ones.
With power like that, there was no way he’d been an unknown figure in Dragon City before.
“Oh my god, what… what is he planning to do now?”
As they processed what had just happened, they noticed Yang Lu striding toward Zhou Suyun, a murderous look on his face.
They watched in disbelief. What was he planning to do?!
