Chapter 2: Chapter 1:vol 1
Earth Prime, the most primal and original Earth, the center point to all the Earths in creation. Home to many, a gateway to countless others, yet above all, it is home to the Miraculouses—most primordial artifacts of power. Among them, the Alpha and Omega Miraculouses are the most powerful of them all, immeasurably more primal and powerful than the others. When combined, they connect you to the origin, the genesis, and the truth of the world. They allow the wielder to make any absolute wish they desire, with no force to stop or interfere.
Thus, an order of protectors was formed, tasked with safeguarding the Miraculouses and their Kwamis from those who sought to use them for chaos and evil. These protectors were meant to ensure that no one abused the Miraculouses' powers.
But in the present world, the Miraculouses are all but forgotten—barely known, if at all—along with the protectors. Who will protect the Miraculouses now?
In the morning, the city of Paris awoke to the aroma of freshly baked goods from a small bakery. Sabine and Tom, a happily married couple, had opened their shop not long ago and were doing well.
Sabine called from the back of the shop, her voice ringing out by the stairs leading up to her son's room.
"Alex! It's time to wake up, you don't want to miss your first day of school!"
She returned to serving customers, her voice fading into the background.
Alex, also known as Alexander Dupain-Cheng, groggily sat up in bed, his medium-length, jet-black hair cascading down to his middle back, soft and silky like fine threads of satin. His eyes were the same dark color, with striking white spade-shaped outlines around them. His skin was as smooth and soft as pillows, with no imperfections, as though his body naturally took care of itself—completely flawless. His small, boyish frame was agile and lean, with an unexpectedly perky, bubbly backside that caught the attention of those who were observant. Though still only 13 years old, he was noticeably short, even compared to his peers.
He was cute—almost beautiful—with just a hint of boyish handsomeness.
After getting dressed, Alex stood before his bathroom mirror. His hair was neatly tied into a single braid that fell just below his shoulders, and his outfit consisted of a black flannel jacket with no buttons or zippers, a white T-shirt underneath, light blue jeans cuffed at the ankles, and white shoes. He completed the look with his black glasses and grabbed his schoolbag before heading downstairs.
"Morning, Mom," Alex said, munching on a piece of toast.
"Morning, sweetie," Sabine replied. "And are you planning to be late? Your first class starts in eight minutes."
Alex nearly choked on his bread. His eyes widened as he sprang into action.
"Crap!" he muttered, dashing out the door.
As Alex rushed to school, he dodged through the bustling crowd, narrowly avoiding being hit by speeding cars. He was pushing himself harder than ever when he saw an elderly man in the middle of the road, trying to cross. A car was coming directly toward him, and Alex realized the collision was inevitable.
Without thinking, Alex sprinted even faster, leaping forward to push the old man out of harm's way. They both tumbled to the ground, narrowly escaping the car's path.
"Sorry about that," Alex said, immediately helping the man to his feet. "There was a car coming. I didn't want you to get hurt. You okay?"
The elderly man smiled warmly.
"Yes, I'm fine. But you'll be more than fine soon," he said cryptically.
Alex was puzzled, but before he could ask more, he glanced at the clock and realized he was running out of time.
"Uh, well, I'll be off then! Don't want to be late!" he shouted, running toward school.
The old man watched him, a knowing smile lingering on his face. "You already are," he mumbled, chuckling to himself.
When Alex arrived at school, he rushed straight to the office to grab his schedule, then made his way to class. As soon as he entered, all eyes were on him, including those of his bully, Chloé Bourgeois.
"I assume you're Alexander Dupain-Cheng," the teacher said, acknowledging him, having seen him around school before.
"Y-yes, that's me," Alex replied, a bit shy.
"Well, then, sit down," the teacher said. "You didn't make much of an impression on your first day, but since it's your first day, I'll let that slide. Don't expect me to be so lenient next time."
Alex sighed. He looked around for a seat, but all the desks were taken—except one, next to a new girl.
Sighing again, he sat down beside her.
"This teacher seems a bit mean, doesn't she?" the girl commented, glancing at the teacher while reading a comic book.
"Yeah, I guess," Alex muttered, feeling down.
"And it seems like Chloé Bourgeois has it out for you," the girl added, noticing how Chloé kept glaring at Alex from across the room.
"Yeah, we've had a rough past," Alex admitted, slumping into his seat.
"And I'm guessing she's the villain?" the new girl asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," Alex said, surprised. "How did you know that?"
"Intuition," the new girl replied with a smirk, her expression sarcastic.
"I'm Alya," she added.
"And I'm Alexander, but you can call me Alex," he responded, offering a small smile.
And so, a new friendship was born.
At lunch, Alex decided to find the library, his usual quiet spot. He wandered through the halls until he finally found it, slipping inside to enjoy his meal in peace.
As he wandered between the aisles of books, something caught his eye. Through the stacks, he saw a boy reading.
It was Adrien Agreste.
Alex had heard his name before, but had paid little attention. Now, seeing him up close, he couldn't look away. Adrien had the kind of beauty that seemed almost unreal—his silky blonde hair framed his face perfectly, and his bright green eyes shone like emeralds. His skin was fair, and his body—slim, toned, and lean—had the kind of subtle strength that came with natural athleticism. He wasn't overly muscular, but his figure was perfectly sculpted. In that moment, Alex couldn't help but blush.
Adrien was even more captivating in person.
Alex took a step closer, but in his distraction, he tripped over a book cart. The loud crash startled him as he fell to the floor.
Adrien quickly stood and rushed over, concern in his eyes. "Hey, are you okay?"
Alex, flustered and embarrassed, simply stared up at him, his face turning bright red.
"U-um, y-yes, I'm good!" Alex stammered.
Adrien smiled kindly, helping him to his feet. "You sure? You seem a little... off."
"Y-yeah," Alex said, still struggling to gather his composure.
The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Adrien gave Alex one last look before heading toward the door, muttering, "He's so weird."
Alex could only watch, still stunned, as Adrien disappeared into the hall. His heart was racing, and he couldn't stop thinking about the way Adrien had looked at him.
Adrien continued to make an impression on Alex throughout the day. Later, as the final bell rang, signaling the end of school, Alex let out a sigh of relief. He had survived another day of dealing with Chloé.
As he walked out of the school entrance, he accidentally bumped into Chloé, spilling a droplet of coffee on her shirt.
"Alexander Dupain-Cheng!" Chloé shrieked. "How dare you! This is my favorite shirt!"
She immediately began chasing him, and Alex ran, trying to escape her wrath.
"Come back here, Alexander! You won't get away with this!" Chloé yelled, her voice dripping with anger.
Alex darted through traffic, cutting through the streets in a desperate bid to evade her. He finally ducked into a small alley and hid there, taking a few moments to catch his breath.
"Ugh, this day is getting worse and worse..." he muttered. Its already reaching night and he is getting chased on his first day back to school.
As he stood behind a crate he heard chole and her assistant/bff Sabrina coming towards his location and he ducked behind the crate but Alex missteps causing Sabrina to find his location. He motions to Sabrina not to tell chole but chole comes storming over to Sabrina's location to ask if she found Alex.
"So did you find him?" Asked chole irritated.
Sabrina quietly points to where Alex was and ale groans.
He quickly makes a run for it with chole and Sabrina on his tail and quickly hides in a small shop. In the corner of the shop he takes a breather and sits down. In a fetal position Alex begins to drift off into a slumber, his energy he had previously subsiding and soon he finally fell asleep.
In an old shop, the old man—the keeper of the Miraculouses—sensed the activation of a Miraculous. Not just any Miraculous, but the Butterfly Miraculous.
The old man, Master Fu, quickly retrieved the Miracle Box, unlocking it to reveal the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses.
He hesitated for a moment, unsure whether he should send these powerful Miraculouses out.
"Wayzz," Fu asked his Kwami, a small, green turtle-like creature, "Do you think I should send out these Miraculouses?"
Wayzz smiled reassuringly. "Whatever you decide, Master, I'm sure you'll make the right choice. If you can't trust yourself, trust your heart."
Fu nodded, smiling at his loyal companion. "Thank you, Wayzz."
Master Fu took a deep breath, releasing the Miraculouses, setting them free to find their destined wielders.
Meanwhile, Alex slowly woke from his nap in the small shop, his eyes blinking open tiredly. The old shop had an aura of mystery about it, filled with strange symbols and items. Alex was intrigued by everything he saw. As he wandered through the shop, he heard sounds coming from the back.
Feeling a growing sense of unease, he ventured deeper into the shop, bumping into some of the objects along the way. As more sounds continued to sound he grew increasingly nervous, walking backwards he bumped into a statue of a knight and jumped.
"You don't have to scare me, I can easily scare myself so can you please come out." Alex says nervously and with slight fear.
As Alex stood in the corner he saw a ladybug flying towards him.
He lifted up his finger and the ladybug landed on it.
"And why might you be here." Alex says softly.
After a few seconds the ladybug flew up and started glowing mystical light red/pinkish energy.
This amazed Alex and he began to stare in awe.
As the ladybug swirled around in pinkish energy it went and flew towards a big stone tablet. On it was a phrase.
"Who saves a life saves the world." Alex read from the stone tablet.
The ladybug flew around candles lighting them up and then finally flew towards a big cauldron lighting up the weird symbol under it.
Alex intrigued and curious, went forward to the cauldron.
He then began to examine it and crouched down and looked under it. He saw two glowing earrings.
