The Titan Curse: A Shinobi’s Reign

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Trap is Set

Chapter 11: The Trap is Set

Deep Within Konoha's Shadows

Danzo moved silently through the underground corridors of the Root base, his cane tapping softly against the stone floor. His orders had already been given—Tsunade was becoming a liability.

She had begun digging too deep.

And worse, she had a source.

"That Root traitor… Hiro."

Danzo had always known there were risks in keeping too many subordinates. No matter how much he conditioned them, a few would always break.

As he reached his personal chamber, he turned to the two Root agents standing by the entrance.

"Find Hiro. Silence him before he spreads more poison," Danzo ordered. "And as for Tsunade…"

His single eye narrowed.

"If she continues to investigate, she leaves me no choice."

Tsunade's Growing Doubts

Tsunade sat at her desk, staring at the old documents spread before her. Records of Konoha's classified projects.

After Hiro's warning, she had sent Shizune to recover any official documents about Hashirama's cell experiments. But everything she found had been heavily redacted.

It was clear Konoha was hiding something.

"How far did Danzo go?"

Tsunade had always known Konoha's foundation was built on war and sacrifice. But she had never imagined that her own grandfather's legacy had been stolen and twisted into something so… monstrous.

She clenched her fists.

"First Nawaki, then Dan, and now this?"

She took a long drink of sake, but for once, it didn't numb her anger.

A Target on Hiro's Back

Hiro moved through the alleyways of Konoha, his instincts screaming at him.

He had spent years working in the shadows for Root, and he knew what it felt like to be hunted.

They were coming for him.

As he turned a corner, three masked figures dropped from the rooftops.

"Traitor," one of them spoke coldly. "You should have stayed hidden."

Hiro's eyes hardened.

He had known that warning Tsunade was a risk. But he had hoped that she would be strong enough to stand against Danzo.

Now, he had to survive long enough to see if his gamble had been worth it.

Without a word, he flashed through hand seals.

"I won't go down without a fight."

Naruto's Concern

Naruto sat on top of the Hokage Monument, gazing at the village below.

Something felt… off.

Tsunade had been acting strange lately.

She had been avoiding long conversations, and when he brought up anything about the village's future, she would change the subject.

And earlier that day, when he had walked into her office, he had caught her staring at some old documents—ones that she quickly hid when he entered.

"What's going on, Grandma?"

For the first time, Naruto felt uneasy about Konoha's future.

Little did he know, he was about to be caught in a storm far greater than he could imagine.
