I have not experienced many changes in these last five months. Sure there are changes but not that many changes in me.

I put my time into learning from the books in the academy's library rather than training to improve my skills or level. So the changes are very minimal.

Let's have a look at those minimal changes.

If you see the Skills section, there was only one change and that was in the Hand Combat Arts. It improved from Intermediate Lvl. 8 to Advanced Lvl. 1.

Most of the improvements were in the Attributes.

Well, HP, MP and INT are still showing ???. There was no change in that and there shouldn't be as I didn't increase my nor consume any resources to improve those attributes.

There are some changes in STR, END, AGI and DEX. Even the Soul Energy improved by a lot.

The reason why the Soul Energy improved was simple. I devoured some of those remnant souls that I still had in my possession. Even after devouring a lot, I still have many.

I had encountered many. Every time I killed a monster, I would get the soul of that monster. Of course, this doesn't work for monsters in dungeons as they are creations of the dungeon and wouldn't have souls of their own.

I encountered a lot of remnants, whenever I went out.

A lot of monsters and people died out there over the years. Sure the remnants would disappear after a few years, most of the time, still the deaths that occur every year is a very large number. I am talking about both humans and monsters.

I collected every such remnant as I knew that they would be very helpful in my growth. I am just making use of that.

To be truly powerful and safe from dangers, it's best to improve every aspect of myself, especially something critical as the Soul.

I don't think many even know about the Soul.

It is a crucial part of us, yet many remain in the dark about it. This was because there was not much research into this aspect as it was very difficult to do so.

From the knowledge I was able to read, there were not many skills or techniques regarding Soul.

I have six skills in regard to Soul, which is very unlikely for anyone else to have unless their profession has to do with Souls like my secondary profession.

Anyway, these Soul skills use the Soul Energy, rather than the MP. So I have to increase the Soul Energy I have or else, I will die if that Soul Energy reserve reaches zero.

Of course, soul energy would recharge itself whenever it was used but to increase the size of the reservoir, I had to devour those soul remnants. I read that it would increase whenever one ranks up but the improvement would be minimal.

The best way to increase the reserve is through external means like what I am doing now.

Though I knew that there wouldn't be many who had ways to attack Soul, I didn't want to leave any weakness that others could easily exploit, especially not the soul. Though there are many Soul skills in my arsenal, nothing that can heal an injured soul.

Hope, that I will get something in the Soul Healing category in the next rank-up. A Soul healing skill is much more rarer than other soul skills. I hope that my luck is not bad and I get one such skill when I reach Tier-7.

Unlike others, who have to solely depend on the Academy, I have the Cosmic Market, where many resources can be found, some of which are not even available in the academy.

The size of this Cosmic Market improved by a lot in these few years. When I gained this access all those years ago, the number of sellers/buyers was far fewer than they are today.

The increase of sellers increased the number and varieties of resources sold here but the increased buyers also caused those resources to disappear quickly. If you see something that you like, then it's best to snatch it there and then.

If you even waste a few minutes on whether to buy or not, others will snatch them before you have a chance to think about it. I did lose many resources like that. Though it's not a loss for me, those resources are very rare and the benefits that I gained would have been very high.
