The Sweet Alpha Crown Prince Loves Me So Much

Chapter 49

Adrian lifted the shirt of Carl without warning.

It happened so quickly that Carl couldn’t stop him.

“Who did this?”

Carl hesitated, glancing at the fallen Mahle.

The reason he couldn’t say, “That bastard did it,” was because it felt like Adrian would draw his sword from its scabbard and strike right then and there

No matter what, he shouldn’t commit murder right in front of his eyes.

Moreover, if the Crown Prince killed a commoner, regardless of the reason, it could cause problems with his reputation.

Adrian took a deep breath, his chest heaving.

“I won’t kill.”

“Really?”

That bastard? Or me?

Both would be good.

When Carl rejoiced, Adrian’s heart was further crumpled.

He was so disappointed that he was so indifferent to him, even though he came to save him, and he defended the person who he thought hurt him……

It was upsetting.

“If I ask what happened, will you tell me?”

Carl hesitated but nodded.

Because he knew Adrian was holding back a lot.

Outside the broken door, snowflakes were falling heavily, covering the ground.

As Carl, as if he was trying to hide everything that had happened in this room, grabbed Adrian’s sleeve, he felt a chill run down his spine.

“But I don’t want to be here. I want to change location.”

Adrian had been hoping for the same thing.

Carl held still as he felt Adrian scoop him up without hesitation.

After what he had done, the strength in his legs gave out, and he felt like he wouldn’t be able to walk on his own anyway.

Although Adrian’s arm touched his hurt back, he didn’t show any sign of pain.

It was because feeling the warmth of another person’s body, which he hadn’t felt in a long time, was more welcoming than the pain.

Adrian hesitated for a moment, then adjusted his posture and held him face to face, as if he was holding a child.

Carl hesitated for a moment and then rested his chin on Adrian’s shoulder, and the two of them stood there for a moment.

Adrian slowly moved his steps and discreetly stepped on the fallen Mahle’s hand.

“I will detain this man while you tell me the whole story. Is that all right?”

Carl nodded silently.

Adrian, who had stepped outside the house, began to descend the hill with steady steps, without slipping or wavering.

Adrian’s horse had been digging in the snow to quench his thirst, but when his master appeared, he naturally followed behind him.

The two pounding hearts were so close together that they felt like they would never be able to separate.

“Aren’t you cold?”

A gentle breath escaped Carl’s lips.

“No, I’m perfectly fine.”

Is that so?

Adrian’s immediate answer made Carl laugh softly, who had been tense all this time.

Right now, whether it was the original work or not, he wanted to fully enjoy this reassuring chest.

Adrian wrapped Carl’s body with his cloak.

Even though he was fine, Carl might feel cold.

Every time the warm breath of the person he hugged touched his neck, an overwhelming feeling of affection rose within him.

“I thought you were here to kill me earlier.”

What are you talking about?

Startled by Carl’s grumbling, Adrian abruptly stopped walking.

“What do you mean?”

“Because you suddenly came in like that. And for what I have done.”

Adrian adjusted Carl’s position and hugged him tighter.

As he did so, Carl let out a soft groan and held onto Adrian’s neck tightly.

It was strange.

As they embraced like this, Carl thought that things like morality, self-esteem, and the prejudices he had held before all seemed insignificant.

The bold Carl Lindbergh, who had been threatening Mahle earlier, had somehow disappeared.

He wanted to say that it was hard, even though it was shameless.

“Do you realize that you were wrong? I was really surprised.”

Surprisingly, Adrian’s lips curled into a smile as he threatened that he’ll ask why later, and he won’t let it slide.

It wasn’t only Carl who felt that letting go of everything and embracing this moment was something wonderful.

His heart, which had fluctuated from missing him to hating him to loving him without rest, all settled down when he felt Carl’s body temperature.

There was nothing more important than protecting the warmth within his embrace.

“By any chance, is young Lord Hendrick okay?”

Carl’s question brought Adrian to a halt.

“Why are you asking about Belfry?”

What about me? Aren’t you going to ask if I’m okay?

Adrian’s cheeks puffed out slightly.

Carl, who was secretly curious if Belfry had become an omega, asked.

“Just curious if he’s hurt anywhere or anything.”

Carl spoke with a smile.

Adrian suppressed his sullen mood.

He didn’t know if Belfry was among the reasons he left.

He had planned to run all the way to the palace, without asking him any more questions and letting him escape again.

“Belfry is very healthy.”

Carl unexpectedly locked eyes with him.

The two of them were startled as they looked into each other’s eyes.

“Why do your eyes look like that?”

“Your eyes are strange!”

They both spoke at the same time, and Carl overreacted.

“What are you talking about? Your eyes are the strange ones!”

“Your eyes are red.”

“Yours are golden yellow.”

They stood there, looking at each other, and started to repeat “Strange.” “Strange.” like the dumb and dumber, until they finally burst out laughing.

It was amusing to see one trying to escape while the other was trying to catch them.

Chuckling and laughing softly, Adrian, who stopped laughing first, asked.

“Is there anywhere on your body that hurts?”

Carl shook his head.

“No, I’m perfectly fine except for my back and fist.”

“Why did your fist get hurt?”

“I punched that bastard earlier. His jaw nearly dislocated.”

“And one punch to the sternum,” Carl proudly exclaimed, demonstrating a swinging fist.

Seems like he did something worthy of getting hit.

Adrian hid his seething heart and smiled widely.

“Well done.”

“Ah, right. And.”

“And?”

In that moment, Carl smiled so broadly that Adrian was momentarily stunned.

“I used magic.”

“How?”

You’ve never learned it.

“Because of the magic stone. The magic stone drew out my magic power.”

Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Looking back, Carl felt pretty cool about himself.

At that moment, he contemplated grabbing the magic stone and delivering a flaming punch to that bastard’s head.

Even I felt that my anger was overflowing as he rambled on and on.

Adrian muttered to himself that it wasn’t out of curiosity that he was going back, but rather a feeling of wanting to just kill that son of a bitch, whatever the dangerous crisis was.

The tip of Carl’s nose turned red as he swung his fist.

Even his eyes were red, making him resemble a rabbit.

〈If you find him, you should never ask him why he did it.〉

…Duke Hendrick had said.

〈Please be sure to ask why he did it if you find him.〉

…and Belfry, who said that, came to mind.

Omegas understand Omega matters well.

Adrian decided to follow Duke Hendrick’s advice.

“Your Highness!”

As Adrian was almost descending the hill, Thomas’ aide hurriedly approached, panting.

Thomas’ aide was going crazy.

The lord was in the palace, but the Crown Prince suddenly visited the territory.

What’s more, it wasn’t even a visit to the castle or an inspection of the territory, which made it even more bewildering.

They hastily gathered soldiers and followed the trail of the Crown Prince.

“You visited without any notice, and it surprised us. Is there something happening in this village?”

The aide jumped up and down, trying to identify the person in the Crown Prince’s arms.

However, Carl buried deep into his neck, and the Crown Prince covered him with his cloak, shielding him from sight.

“They say it’s His Highness the Crown Prince.”

“Ah, is he perhaps that beautiful young man?”

“What should we do about this?”

The gathered villagers murmured amongst themselves.

The Crown Prince looked down at the people with eyes like frost and spoke.

“Arrest the man on the top of the hill, and the man who often meets with him. Capture anyone who has had contact with him in the past.”

Hiik

.

The faces of several villagers turned pale like a blank sheet of paper.

Adrian kept a close eye on all of them.

“Who is in that house? There’s only one old hermit living there, right?”

The aide spoke in confusion.

“The persons who sought to harm my one and only mate and the future Crown Princess. I will personally judge their trial, and if necessary, I will execute them immediately.”

The Crown Prince’s mate.

That meant he could become the Empress of the Empire.

It was an incident that warranted immediate execution without the need for a trial, considering they had attempted to harm such a person.

And to think that this significant event occurred when the lord was absent.

In reality, even if the lord had been present, there wouldn’t have been much he could do. Nonetheless, the aide felt as if his throat had been cut under Adrian’s sharp command.

Adrian gave a signal to the soldiers instead of the still-dazed adjutant, and the soldiers rushed up the hill in unison at the command of the stern Crown Prince.

Among the murmuring crowd, Adrian also noticed a few individuals quickly running somewhere.

Carl, who had been silently listening, whispered in Adrian’s ear.

“Poker friends of the heir to the dairy farm.”

“Capture the heir to the dairy farm, along with the group he plays poker games with, and do not release them no matter what happens until further orders are given from the palace.”

Half of the soldiers who had climbed up the hill descended back down and scattered in all directions.

They had no time to escape.

“Capture the magic stone merchant as well.”

“Capture the magic stone merchant.”

Adrian didn’t ask any questions.

Like a parrot, he repeated his orders and embraced Carl tightly.

Carl took a deep breath.

They would pay the price for their carelessness.

Even Carl Lindbergh, who punched Mahle and took revenge, will live for a while, recalling the short time he was pushed down by Mahle.

The fact that other omegas disappeared meant that they would have to live while enduring such suffering.

Adrian gently and cautiously brushed the back of Carl, who had clung tightly to his neck, with a soft and delicate touch.

Adrian, who noticed the condition of Carl trembling like a person in pain, instructed the aide.

“Prepare a warm room. He seems to be very shocked and needs to rest for a while. Tell Viscount Thomas to come find me as soon as he returns.”

The aide, who had finally come to his senses, rubbed his hands together.

“Of course. If you would please, I will escort you to a comfortable place.”

At that moment, the soldiers came down from the hill carrying the unconscious Mahle.

The aide courteously arranged a carriage for the Crown Prince and his mate.

And all at once, the villagers who had incurred the wrath of the imperial family vented their anger at Mahle by pointing fingers at him and hurling insults.
