The Strongest Quirk in My Hero Academia

Chapter 75: Chapter 68

"Hahaha, I found you, Midoriya boy." All Might suddenly appeared, his towering frame casting a shadow over the table. Then he noticed Akira sitting across from Midoriya. "Oh, Akira, you're here too."

"All Might, what's going on?" Midoriya asked in surprise.

"Well... You're eating early today. I mean… how about having a meal together?" All Might's tone was casual, but something about the situation seemed off.

"Go ahead, Midoriya. It looks like All Might has something important to discuss with you." Akira smiled knowingly. He already had a good idea why All Might was here. It was likely to talk about Midoriya's progress with One For All, the Villain Alliance, and the limits of his body. These were matters Akira had long deduced but didn't find particularly curious anymore.

After All Might left with Midoriya, Akira finished his meal and returned to the classroom. The afternoon was uneventful, and once school was over, Akira decided not to head home but to visit a special store for Heroes.

His current equipment—a simple mask and cloak—was embarrassingly subpar. In a serious fight, it could easily be damaged, exposing his identity. To prepare for the challenges ahead, Akira decided to invest in proper gear and stepped into a Heroes equipment shop wearing his mask.

**At the Heroes Equipment Shop**

"Boss, how much does it cost to make a high-end black cloak here?" Akira asked as he looked around.

The shop owner, an elderly man with sharp eyes, was polishing a metal spear. He glanced at Akira with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "A high-end cloak, you say? Be specific, boy. I don't make garbage here."

Akira felt a bit embarrassed but admired the man's professionalism. "Do you know the Legend of the Night?"

The old man paused, then nodded solemnly. "Of course I do."

"Well," Akira said with a sheepish grin, "I *am* the Legend of the Night."

The old man raised an eyebrow and placed the metal spear on the counter. "Is that so? If you are, then prove it. The Legend of the Night is rumored to have an air manipulation quirk. If you can make this spear bend using only your quirk, I'll give you a 30% discount."

Akira's eyes lit up. "Deal."

He focused, using his air manipulation to lift the spear and apply pressure. The metal vibrated but resisted bending, surprising him. "Huh," he muttered, "this thing's tougher than it looks."

The old man smirked. "Having trouble?"

"Not at all," Akira shot back, increasing his power. Slowly, the spear began to bend under his control.

"Enough," the old man said, taking the spear back. He locked the store door and motioned for Akira to follow him to the back.

**Inside the Workshop**

Akira hesitated as the old man led him through a thick metal door. The workshop inside was filled with advanced equipment, glowing furnaces, and materials Akira had never seen before.

"Sit down," the old man instructed. "Now, let's talk about what you want. Your current setup is pathetic. A cheap cloak and mask? Laughable. What do you need?"

"I need something durable and reliable," Akira admitted. "I can't afford to have my gear fail in the middle of a fight."

The old man nodded, switching on some equipment. "I have a special metal—light as paper, nearly impossible to break. The catch? It's reactive to quirks. With your air manipulation, you can adjust its hardness and flexibility at will."

Akira's eyes widened. "You know my quirk?"

"I'm no fool," the old man replied, his tone dismissive. "I wouldn't be in this business if I couldn't figure things out. Don't worry; I won't expose you."

Akira relaxed slightly. "Alright. How much will it cost to make a helmet and cloak out of this metal?"

"Fifty million yen," the old man said without hesitation.

"Fifty million?!" Akira jumped to his feet. "Are you insane? That's robbery! Do you know how long it would take an ordinary person to earn that much?"

The old man shrugged. "You call yourself the Legend of the Night, yet you balk at the price of quality equipment? Don't waste my time if you can't pay."

Akira clenched his fists. "I'm out here risking my life and saving people for free! Where am I supposed to get that kind of money?"

"Not my problem," the old man said coolly, pointing at the now-open metal door. "If you're not serious, leave."

"Fine!" Akira stormed out but paused when he heard the old man call after him, "You'll be back."
