Chapter 49: Chapter 45
In the week of rest, aside from one day when Akira would go to the police station to report, there were still six days.
Akira intended to make good use of these six days. He needed to make money and also needed to improve his strength. So where was the best place to go?
The black market!
Fight in black boxing!
That's right, Akira decided to go to the black market to fight in black boxing. There were too many capable people and strange characters in places like this. If he went there, he wouldn't just make money, but also improve his quirk's strength. Why not?
Regarding Inoue Ying's proposal, Akira declined. He felt that he wasn't ready to live with her yet. After all, they weren't siblings, and there was a difference between men and women.
Akira viewed Inoue Ying as family, but his classmates were different. Some of them were truly shameful to the country and a curse to society.
Because of Heroes, most black markets had shut down, leaving only a few that remained active in the underground market.
The black market Akira was looking for was one of these long-established places.
But it wasn't easy to find. Akira wandered through streets and alleys, asking people who seemed like they might know.
These kinds of people usually knew a lot, but sometimes, when Akira missed, the other person didn't know anything.
"Excuse me…"
"Fuck off, don't bother me!" Before Akira could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a yellow-haired man who cursed at him.
"Oh, hey," Akira said, rubbing his hands, "It's really a toast, not eating or drinking fine wine!" With those words, Akira grabbed him and dragged him into an empty alley.
"What are you doing?" The yellow-haired man suddenly became angry. Why was this guy starting to beat him just because he cursed?
But the next moment, the man was shocked to realize that he couldn't move, as if he were being controlled by some invisible force or airflow.
Once they were in the alley, Akira noticed a camera facing him in the distance. He raised his index finger and moved to the side. The camera immediately shifted, avoiding Akira.
"Tell me where the nearest black boxing place is." Akira set the yellow-haired man down on the ground and spoke kindly.
The young man didn't commit any real crime. Akira didn't need to beat him just because the man had cursed at him. After all, if a dog bites you, would you bite it back?
Even if Akira wanted to earn salvation points, this wasn't the way to do it.
"Black boxing?" The yellow-haired man hesitated, then thought for a moment. After a few minutes, he said, "I know a place, but it's really dangerous. You might die there."
"Oh?" Hearing this, Akira became interested, "Where is it?"
Seeing Akira's excitement, the yellow-haired man was surprised. This guy didn't seem like a normal person. His quirk was strange, and he looked dangerous.
The man quickly took out his phone and showed Akira the location.
Akira memorized the location and dismissed the yellow-haired man. The map showed it was in Shibuya, a fashionable district bustling with people.
Without hesitation, Akira bought a ticket to Shibuya. Given his current strength, no average person could pose a threat to him. He could even defeat junior Nomu. Was he afraid of some gangsters?
However, Akira knew that in such places, there could be real masters, so he remained cautious.
After arriving in Shibuya, Akira headed straight for the black market. About half an hour later, he arrived at the back door of a shopping mall. The door was made of heavy metal, guarded by two bald men in suits.
"I'm here to participate in black boxing," Akira said directly.
The two bald men exchanged glances in surprise. One of them spoke, "Who told you there's black boxing here?"
"A friend of mine who frequents the place told me," Akira replied nonchalantly. Since even a yellow-haired man knew about this place, it seemed legitimate.
"Sorry, minors aren't allowed, and without an introducer or proper identification, you can't enter," one of the men said dismissively.
Akira frowned. Was black boxing really this troublesome?
Reluctantly, Akira found a corner, took out the cloak he usually wore at night, and put on his Tiga Altman mask. He approached the two bald men again.
"Who are you?" One of them asked cautiously. People who dressed like this generally had connections, and he didn't want to offend anyone powerful.
"Don't you know who I am?" Akira said in a low voice.
The two men were taken aback. They didn't recognize him.
"I don't know. Could you tell us who you are?" one of them asked politely. Though they were cautious, they weren't scared. The black market had a strong background, and few dared to challenge it.
"Two straight men with cancer," Akira scoffed. "I'm the Legend of the Night."
"The Legend of the Night?" The two men blinked, then one suddenly recalled and said in surprise, "You're the Legend of the Night, the one who only operates at night and punishes evil?"
"I'm glad you recognized me," Akira said with a sigh of relief. "Yes, it's me."
"But we still need to verify your credentials. We can't just assume you're the real Legend of the Night," the bald man said, though still clearly impressed.
Akira moved his fingers, and the two men suddenly floated into the air. "Do you believe it now?"
"I believe! I believe!" the two men quickly nodded, realizing that the quirk that could lift them without visible effort was a clear sign of the Underworld Legend.
The two men opened the metal door, and Akira stepped inside. In the dark underground hallway, the walls flickered with faint red light, resembling candles.
After about a hundred steps, Akira reached the bottom, where a massive red metal door stood in front of him. Two figures, one with a crocodile head and the other with a dinosaur head, guarded the door.
Akira, cloaked in black, walked toward them. Without a word, the two figures opened the door for him.
As the red metal door swung open, Akira was greeted by the roar of a crowd. Inside was a massive arena, illuminated brightly, like daylight. Around the ring, all kinds of people had gathered.
