Chapter 53: El vs Linlin (2)
“Boom… Boom…”
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
“Whoosh... Whoosh…”
As Linlin screamed hysterically, a visible shockwave, accompanied by a violent gust of wind, swept across the area. The ground cracked and shattered in all directions. Trees, wooden houses, glass, and crystal objects were blown apart and scattered into the air.
This was the result of Linlin successfully combining her Zoan-type Vampire form with her Conqueror’s Haki, releasing a terrifyingly powerful and high-frequency ultrasonic shockwave. Its destructive force was unimaginable.
“Ahhh... It’s unbearable!”
“It’s Linlin’s ability, combined with Conqueror’s Haki to release a high-frequency sonic wave!”
“Everyone, get away from this island!”
“No, I can’t move…”
“Damn it, my head is spinning, my vision is blurring…”
“Big Sis Linlin, please stop!”
“My eardrums feel like they’re about to burst!”
“Thud... Thud...”
Out at sea, the normally calm waters of the Calm Belt were now churning with massive waves. Several warships near the dreamlike island rocked violently in the escalating storm. Even the giant Sea Kings in the area fled in panic from the overwhelming aura and terrifying soundwaves.
As the crewmembers of the Fallen Angel Pirates and Dreamland rushed to their ships with their unconscious comrades, even the strongest among them clutched their ears in pain. The sheer proximity to the island made it unbearable, and many were forced to their knees, completely paralyzed.
Those whose strength was below that of a Navy Rear Admiral had already passed out from the pressure.
“Enough is enough!”
At that moment, El’s eyes gleamed with intensity. While the others were deeply affected by Linlin’s monstrous Conqueror’s Haki and ultrasonic attacks, he was an exception.
“Whoosh—” In the blink of an eye, an unparalleled, overwhelming Conqueror’s Haki burst forth from El, surging toward the out-of-control Linlin. The two forces—Linlin’s ultrasonic-infused Haki and El’s pure Conqueror’s Haki—clashed violently.
“Boom… Boom…”
“Crack... Crack...”
The ground trembled and shattered as waves of pressure exploded outward. Trees, debris, and rocks were flung into the air, and the sky was streaked with black and red lightning bolts that spread in all directions.
A massive black-and-red sphere formed as the two forces clashed, pushing against each other. Linlin’s Conqueror’s Haki was swiftly overpowered and crushed.
The moment the Haki vanished, the members of the Fallen Angel Pirates and Dreamland breathed a collective sigh of relief, panting heavily, drenched in cold sweat.
“Phew! We’re saved…”
“Linlin’s scream was terrifying!”
“Thank goodness… Boss El stopped Linlin!”
“Hurry, set sail! Get away from the island!”
“This is beyond us. Let’s leave it to El!”
Rock, Jien, Streusen, and the others, recovering from the intense pressure, quickly issued orders to get the ships moving away from the island. If El hadn’t intervened, and if Linlin’s soundwave-infused Haki had lasted any longer, they would’ve suffered far worse—burst eardrums, bleeding from the nose and mouth, or worse.
“Shave!”
In an instant, El disappeared from sight, his foot slamming down as he propelled himself toward Linlin with incredible speed.
“Whoosh—” Without using Haki, El’s massive fist crashed through the air like a cannonball, smashing into Linlin.
“Bang!!”
Had Linlin been in control, her refined mastery of the three forms of Haki, thanks to El’s training over the years, would’ve allowed her to dodge or block the attack. However, in her current state, unable to maintain her calm, Linlin’s Observation Haki was dulled, and she couldn’t react in time.
She was sent flying.
“Boom! Boom!”
The earth shook as Linlin’s body plowed through trees, snapping one in half as her massive form was flung across the island like a cannonball. But just before she crashed into the ocean, her body exploded into a swarm of bats, which spread their wings and halted the force of her momentum, swiftly flying back toward the island.
“Pop—”
At the same time, blood-red fog billowed through the air as Linlin’s purple-black form flickered, reappearing in multiple directions at once.
“Pop... Pop... Pop...” The sound of ripping air filled the sky as a series of blood-red slashes tore through the atmosphere, raining down on El with ferocious intensity.
“Bang… Bang…”
“Boom… Boom…”
But in the blink of an eye, El’s expression remained unchanged. His massive right hand swiped through the air, turning into a blur. The slashes, powerful enough to cleave through steel and mountains, were effortlessly deflected by El’s bare hand. They shot off into the distance, striking the earth and ocean far away.
“Boom... Boom…”
Massive slashes collided with the ground, creating deep, gaping chasms across the island, making those watching tremble with fear.
“Bang!!”
The next moment, El’s eyes flashed. His foot slammed into the ground, and he disappeared, reappearing right in front of Linlin. Without warning, he drove his fist into her abdomen.
But even as she flew backward from the impact, Linlin grinned wickedly, her voice dripping with violence. “It’s useless… Your attacks can’t hurt me. I’m immortal!”
With a laugh, her body exploded once again.
“Whoosh…” A swarm of blood-red bats flew into the air, regrouping a short distance away to reform her body.
“Flowing Blood!” Linlin’s claws dripped with blood, which morphed into a sharp, deadly blade.
Her aura brimming with murderous intent, Linlin glared at El. “Elbaf’s Spear—”
Her blood blade, glowing with crimson energy, surged forward with immense force.
“Mighty Nation!”
“Boom!”
A terrifying column of energy tore through the atmosphere, streaking toward El.
“Hero’s Spear!!”
El’s expression remained calm. His right fist clenched, veins bulging as he prepared to counter the blow.
“Boom… Boom…”
