The Strongest Lunarian in One Piece

Chapter 356: Chapter 356: Overwhelming power of Thor

"Raaaaargh…!"

"Ahhhh…!"

Meanwhile.

In the middle section of the New World—

On an island adjacent to the Totto Land waters—

A colossal lightning pillar illuminated the entire sky as it dropped from above, crashing down with tremendous force.

"Boom… boom…"

Along the shore, amidst earth-shattering rumbles and terrified screams, the hundred-plus pirates who had just invaded—intending to cause trouble—were nowhere to be seen.

In their place was a massive, bottomless crater, easily three hundred meters across.

Anyone witnessing it would feel their scalp tingle.

"Ah la, a half-baked challenge… so boring!"

Amid crackling lightning, a tall figure stood there, arms crossed, looking down upon the petrified pirates sprawled out below. Though still youthful in appearance, his features were unyielding—none other than Thor, now a fully grown seventeen-year-old.

Standing at around twenty meters—comparable to a regular giant warrior—his physique was absurdly muscular, every contour of his muscles clearly defined, stretching his battle outfit tight. A pair of black wings extended from his back, and flames billowed behind his head. Strapped to him was a massive, strangely designed purple iron hammer.

He radiated an aura so powerful that one could not help but feel awe.

"Huh? Everyone—"

Staring at the gigantic crater and the towering figure wreathed in electricity, a pirate captain clutching a large blade—his demeanor ruthless—suddenly changed expression. His eyes turned bloodshot. Enveloping his blade in Haki, he charged forward, roaring furiously, "Damn bastard, I'll fight you to the death—!"

"You overestimate yourself."

Thor's face remained impassive. He raised his right hand and casually swatted out a slap.

"Boom!!"

In the distance, a muffled crash echoed. Stones splintered, dust rolled, and a bloody figure was embedded in a far-off mountainside, eyes rolled back, its life or death uncertain.

"Thor-sama—"

"Gulp! What power is this!?"

"In the blink of an eye, the pirate 'Swift Blade' Uma—whose bounty exceeded three hundred million Beli—was taken out just like that!"

"As expected of the eldest son of the Kukulkan family!"

"That's too incredible!"

Some distance away, three warships slowly approached from the sea. Using telescopes to observe the island's shocking scene, members of the Fallen Angel Pirates were momentarily stupefied. Soon, excitement welled up within them, a mixture of fervor and reverence.

"Wow, that's seriously over the top…"

Aboard the lead warship, Ruffy—once almost sold into slavery but who accidentally obtained the true Gum-Gum Fruit and eventually became an officer in the Fallen Angel Pirates—murmured in awe.

"Looks like we won't need to step in," said Mad, the tall Longleg Tribe member with the Egg-Egg Fruit ability, smiling wryly.

"That kind of power is truly intimidating," commented Tom, a cat Mink with blue-gray fur and a fearsome aura. "No surprise, given which clan he's from!"

"Of course. Thor-sama is revered as the 'God of Thunder' by the proud warriors of Elbaf themselves!" cackled Sak, the Wax-Wax Fruit

user, baring his teeth. "A year ago, he fought Prince Loki of the Giants in Elbaf, and in no time subdued that arrogant prince, leaving countless giant warriors slack-jawed!"

All four had been among the slaves rescued by Linlin and others on the Sabaody Archipelago. They chose to join the Fallen Angel Pirates and were later recognized by El, who granted them Devil Fruit powers. They had witnessed the meteoric rise of the Fallen Angel Pirates in a short span and, over many years of relentless fighting, had become entirely different people. Today, each served as an officer within the Seventy-Two Pillars, their strengths quite formidable.

Yet at this moment, they could not help feeling dwarfed. Compared to members of the Kukulkan family, their own achievements felt utterly insignificant—they were in a different league altogether.

After all, back when they first joined, Gerd-sama had not even conceived Thor yet. And now, at just seventeen, Thor's power far surpassed theirs. Then again, El-sama himself had officially appeared at age seventeen, instantly slaying a Marine admiral on the Sabaody Archipelago, causing a sensation across the seas.

"Bzzz…" A flash of electricity, and the towering figure was suddenly standing before the warship. Thor glanced at the Fallen Angel officers and said, "I ran into some troublemakers on the way and took care of them, so I'm running late. I've got urgent business ahead—this is all yours now!"

"No problem!"

"Safe travels, Thor-sama!"

Ruffy, Sak, Mad, and Tom all responded in high spirits. Without another word, Thor became lightning itself, vanishing into midair. It had merely been a chance encounter, and taking out those clueless pirates was an afterthought. He had places to be.

"Thor's not here yet?"

Meanwhile, in the Calm Belt, El—handsome, calm, naturally imposing—stood with arms folded. Seeing that his eldest son was still missing, he raised an eyebrow, looking at Dal and Sif.

Starting two years ago, El and Linlin had gradually eased restrictions on Thor, Sif, Dal, and the other older children. Apart from assigning training regimens they had to complete on schedule (with periodic checks to ensure no one was slacking), they were free to roam the Totto Land region's islands rather than remaining constantly on Atlantis, the airborne fortress. They were also free to accompany the fleet on missions—gaining experience and honing themselves—or to stay behind, at their discretion.

"Daddy, you can't blame me," said Sif, tall, graceful, and elegant, throwing up her hands helplessly. "I let Thor know ahead of time. He was on Beast Island, asking Uncle Witt to use the Kilo-Kilo Fruit to help him train with extra weight. Given how fast he is, he should be here any moment."

A gray-white cloak fluttered in the wind behind her, two braided pigtails draping down. Her still-youthful yet gorgeous face was almost identical to her mother Gerd's, as though cast from the same mold. The flames behind her head were a unique azure hue, and she had the same black wings as others of the Lunarian race, but the coloring of her flames gave her an air of mystery.

"Mm… He's coming!"

Dal, the third child, whose third eye flashed red, seemed to see something and smiled. Almost in the same instant, El—sensing the same—turned to look in the same direction.

"Bzzz…" Sure enough, electricity flared.

Thor, around twenty meters tall, appeared in a burst of light. "Sorry, everyone. I came across some annoying pirates on the way and lost some time dealing with them. Mom and Mama Linlin are en route with the little ones who are still nursing—they'll be here in about half an hour, if I judged correctly."
