Chapter 310: Chapter 310: The Destroyed G-5, And the Five Elders Reaction
"BOOM! BOOM!"
The deafening explosion tore through the air.
In an instant, the terrifying golden sword of light, which pierced the sky, descended with devastating force, ripping through the atmosphere.
The massive bone shield, reinforced with powerful Armament Haki, was unable to withstand the attack. It was sliced apart as though it were nothing.
The two Admirals—Black Bear and Iron Bone—who had been desperately holding their ground, were blasted away, their figures tumbling through the air.
"Crackle… crackle…"
Amidst the billowing dust and surging shockwaves, the island shook violently and split into two. The surrounding sea churned furiously, boiling as massive waves flooded the fractured island.
The golden blade of light did not dissipate. Controlled by the massive Quetzalcoatl above, it swung back and forth, effortlessly slicing through the island as though it were tofu. Deep, crisscrossing gashes appeared, dividing the land into jagged fragments.
The island's already fragile foundation crumbled entirely, collapsing into the ocean.
"Crackle… crackle…"
The entire G-5 Fortress, along with the island it stood on, was utterly destroyed. Nothing remained but fragments sinking into the depths of the sea.
Above the chaos, Black Bear and Iron Bone hovered in the air, their expressions grim as they witnessed the complete annihilation of the fortress.
Their fists clenched tightly, their faces a mixture of fury and helplessness.
"Damn pirates…"
"Curse that Fallen Angel!"
They were furious but also deeply shaken. Thousands of Marines had been stationed on the island, many of whom were still unconscious and unable to escape. Now, with the island destroyed, the survivors would likely be few.
Despite their efforts, they had failed to stop El. His strength was overwhelming, far beyond anything they could counter. He hadn't even used his hybrid form, making it clear he was holding back.
They understood his true goal: to systematically destroy the Marines' strongholds in the New World, pushing the World Government's influence back to the entrance of the New World—or even driving them out entirely.
"I told you, from today onward, there will be no place for the Marines in the New World…"
The dazzling golden light dissipated. The towering Quetzalcoatl looked down at the two Admirals, his tone cold and unyielding.
"Go back and tell Hammons William this: if the Marines attempt to rebuild their bases in the New World, I will destroy them all, one by one."
With those words, El flapped his enormous wings. The powerful gusts stirred the ocean below, nearly submerging the two Admirals standing on a piece of drifting debris.
Under their watchful eyes, the massive figure soared into the distant sky, leaving nothing but devastation in his wake.
…
Red Line Summit, Holy Land Mary Geoise
"Bang!"
"Damn it!"
"That bastard!"
"He's too arrogant!"
In the grand chambers of the Five Elders, their faces were ashen—a mix of fury and frustration.
Though they had anticipated El's motives for appearing alone at G-5 Fortress, the destruction of the stronghold was still a bitter pill to swallow.
A kneeling CPO officer reported gravely, "My Lords, according to eyewitness accounts from the Marine Vice Admirals present, Fallen Angel El's strength is beyond comprehension. His Conqueror's Haki alone was enough to incapacitate the elite Rear Admirals stationed there."
He continued, his tone heavy, "Even with the combined forces of Admirals Black Bear and Iron Bone, as well as Shichibukai members Silver Axe, Wang Zhi, and John, they were completely outmatched. The Shichibukai, despite their efforts, were defeated almost instantly. Only Wang Zhi's Teleportation Fruit allowed him to evade El's attacks. Silver Axe and John were gravely injured after just one exchange."
The officer hesitated before adding, "Moreover, El did not use his hybrid form at any point during the battle. His resilience, enhanced by the natural abilities of the Lunarian race, combined with his unmatched physical defense, rendered Black Bear and Iron Bone's attacks entirely ineffective."
He paused, glancing at the Elders' darkening expressions.
"The G-5 Fortress is completely destroyed. The island's foundation has sunk into the ocean. Reconstruction is impossible.
Before leaving, El declared that any attempts to rebuild Marine bases in the New World would result in their immediate destruction."
"Outrageous! This is outrageous!"
"Does that Lunarian brat think the New World belongs to him?!"
"He's just a remnant of a dead race! The New World isn't his to command!"
The Five Elders' fury was palpable, but beneath their anger lay a deep sense of unease.
Based on the CPO's report, Silver Axe, Wang Zhi, and John, though not quite at Admiral level, were still powerful enough to challenge top-tier opponents. Yet, even with their combined strength, they were defeated effortlessly.
And El hadn't even gone all out.
"We miscalculated…" Saint Mars rubbed his temples, his tone filled with regret.
"We should have eliminated him before he fully matured."
Now, that same monstrous talent had grown into an unstoppable force. His abilities, combined with his Lunarian lineage, made him nearly invincible.
"His power is only increasing," Saint Saturn said, his voice heavy as he leaned on his cane.
"At this rate, even if Kong and the three Admirals joined forces, I doubt they could suppress him outright."
"The World Government has grown complacent over the centuries," sighed another Elder.
"Our arrogance has allowed such a monster to rise."
