Mii-chan sipped her mineral water and, though she couldn’t pour the drinks, kept Retou-san company.

Once the fish had mostly cooked, I spread miso on the unsalted ones and brought them closer to the fire again. The fragrant aroma of roasting miso made my mouth water.
When I served the grilled fish, Retou-san bit into it heartily. I wondered if he was okay with the bones, but it was clearly a pointless concern.
I flaked some fish and mixed it with the roasted miso to eat. So good! Mii-chan glanced at me, so I flaked a little bit of fish, added a tiny amount of roasted miso, and placed it on a dish in front of her.
