The Story Of Red Dead Redemption

Chapter 50: Chapter 50 (Bonus)

Chapter 50: Rescuing Sean (Part Four)

"These damn bastards, there are really a lot of them."

"Indeed, maybe we should deliver Sean ourselves and claim the reward," John said with a smile.

Seeing the crisis was over, Arthur smiled and agreed

"I think it's not too late to do that now?"

Finally, they found Sean hanging upside down from a tree by a rope at the far end of the camp.

"Hey, brothers, I'm here! It sounds like you went through a lot of trouble to rescue me. I love you all! Quick, get me down."

Arthur shot the rope, and then went up to cut the ropes binding Sean's legs with his knife. As for why he didn't use the knife to cut the rope directly; he just wanted to give Sean a little scare.

"You know, from a different angle, you're a lot less ugly, Arthur."

"Stop the nonsense." Arthur pulled Sean up from the ground and turned to join the others in looting the camp. The area wasn't safe, and they needed to hurry. Even though they had money now, every little bit helped.

Sean looked incredulous.

"Do I get a hug, Arthur? A warm embrace for a lost brother, now found?"

Sean spread his arms, waiting for Arthur. Arthur rubbed his nose and didn't move.

"You know... nothing means more to me than this gang. The bond we share... it's the most real thing to me. I would kill for it, I would happily die for it... "

Really, don't ask why Arthur said something so sentimental. If you must know, he was genuinely happy to see Sean safe and sound. Just as Sean was about to get emotional, Arthur continued,

"But in spite of all that... I would have easily left you here to rot... if Charles hadn't stopped me."

"Oh, Arthur, I don't believe a word of that last part..."

"I'm serious, take this guy away." Arthur couldn't stand Sean's attitude. He was starting to wonder if Sean were a woman, she might have already proposed to him.

John, who had been watching this for a while, stepped in and pulled Sean away.

"You're a good man, Arthur Morgan! Remember what I said! You're the kind of good man any self-righteous young person would admire!"

Arthur scratched his head helplessly, waved to make Sean stop talking.

"Charles, please escort Mr. McGuire back to camp with Lenny. John and I will leave separately for safety. We'll meet back at camp."

"Remember, be careful. We've caused quite a stir here. Don't stop along the way, especially be careful not to be followed. Once you're sure it's safe, head straight back to camp. Let's go, grab your things, we'll see you at camp."

By now, Sean was sitting on Charles's horse, still talking non-stop.

"Have I told you my story?"

Charles hung his gun on the saddle, playing along, "yeah, I can't wait."

"Haha, I knew you all missed me. Don't worry, your joy is back."

As Sean's voice faded away, Arthur saw that the little rascal's mouth hadn't stopped moving.

Arthur watched Sean and the others leave. He and John quickly gathered their things and headed back the way they came to the shallow water where they had left their horses.

Arthur was focused on the journey when he heard John's voice.

"Arthur, if I were captured like Sean, would you come to rescue me?"

What kind of question was that? Had John hit his head on a rock? Arthur frowned, and despite not wanting to engage, he patiently answered.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't come to rescue you..."

John immediately responded, "I knew it! You always see me as a troublemaker, but I'm not that kid anymore, Arthur!"

Faced with this sudden outburst, Arthur felt both amused and annoyed. It was amusing that John knew he was a troublemaker, but it was also frustrating that Arthur hadn't had the chance to scold John for charging into gunfire earlier. Instead, John was now complaining first.

However, Arthur had noticed John's behavior at the top of the hill, where John had quietly shielded him just before Lenny kicked the sniper off the cliff. Arthur knew John was willing to risk his life for him.

"Let me finish, okay? I wouldn't come to rescue you because I wouldn't let you get into the kind of trouble Sean was in. I won't allow it for you or any of you."

After saying this, Arthur urged his horse to run faster, soon leaving John behind. He shouted from ahead.

"John, come on, let's race to see who gets back to camp first!"

"Hey, you're cheating!"
