"What's your name?" Luffy questioned slowly, as the rest of his Crew, including the two sky people, were running towards them, led by Zoro.
"Satori. Why?"
"So I know what name to carve in your tombstone," Luffy answered grimly, his voice laced with a deep sense of seriousness and determination, as he tightly grasped the pommel of his sword, his knuckles turning white with the intensity of his grip.
"You bastard," Satori spat, his voice dripping with venom, "you are really cocky for a -" But before he could finish his sentence, Luffy swiftly swung his mighty sword through the air with unparalleled precision. The deafening sound reverberated across the air as the blade connected with Satori's flesh, splitting it open with a sickening slash.
A gory spectacle ensued as a crimson spray of blood erupted, painting the air in gruesome hues. Satori's body crumpled to the ground, lifeless, while his head spiraled through the air before making a gruesome landing nearby. In its wake followed a macabre trail of blood.
The Crew's eyes widened at what Luffy had just done; even the three Monkey brothers were quite shocked that Luffy had just killed the man without much provocation; sure, he damaged the ship a little, but was that enough for Luffy to respond by killing the man right away without much thought.
Pagaya and Conis gasped in shock; they still couldn't believe that Luffy just killed one of Enel's servants. They knew God Enel would never forgive this, and from what they knew, he probably already knew what Luffy had just done to one of his servants.
"What have you done?" Conis shouted in fear, covering her mouth at the sight of the man just falling on the ground without a head, his head rolling before falling off the beach into the clouds below.
Luffy ignored her as his blade turned into lightning before disappearing as if it was never there. Luffy turned to face his Crew; he could tell many were shocked, but Zoro, Sanji, Robin, and Nojiko didn't seem concerned about what Luffy did.
Before Luffy could answer, he was interrupted by a sudden and menacing chorus of thunderbolts crackling fiercely above him. The deafening sound reverberated through the atmosphere, making it seem as if the very heavens were enraged. The bolts of electricity struck perilously close to Luffy and his companions, with one particularly powerful bolt striking the ground near Zoro. Upon impact, the sheer force of the lightning caused the sand beneath their feet to instantly transform into solid, shimmering glass.
The resounding thunderbolts continued to echo relentlessly. In the midst of the chaos, Conis huddled close to her father. She watched in fear as he positioned himself in front of her. Prepared to shield his beloved daughter with his very own body.
Luffy kept paying attention to each thunderbolt; many were there just to intimidate them, but he saw one in particular; its direction was straight downward.
As the raging storm reached its peak, a colossal bolt of lightning, crackling with electric intensity, descended from the heavens with unimaginable speed, its blinding velocity rendering it invisible to the naked eye. Luffy could see who the target of that bolt of lightning was. With lightning poised to strike, Luffy swiftly materialized above the individual, positioning himself as the thunderous force collided squarely with his indomitable chest. Illuminating the surroundings as if a radiant second sun had abruptly materialized. Bolts of ethereal white and crimson lightning pirouetted and marveled around Luffy's body.
Luffy felt the lightning move around his body, trying to reach his heart to kill him, but he quickly got control over it. He smirked in triumph as the lightning spread in his entire body, but it no longer was harmful; he realized this 'God' Enel controlled Lightning, but he didn't know that Luffy controlled the Storm itself.
Luffy extended his left hand upward, aiming it right back at where Enel was at this moment.
"You can have this back," Luffy said, his tone dripping with coldness. Simultaneously, his body transformed into a mesmerizing red Lightning form, crackling with immense power. As the lightning surged through his left arm, a radiant glow spread across the entirety of the Sky Island, casting an ethereal light that bathed the surroundings. The instant the lightning departed from Luffy, it shot forth like a shooting star, vanishing into the distant horizon. Suddenly, a deafening 'Boom' thundered throughout the area, its echoing resonance stretching for miles. Within moments, a formidable gust of wind swept over their senses.
The Crew was still in shock at what they had just witnessed; none of them had been able to see the Attack coming, not even Usopp, who had the second-best Observation Haki behind his Captain, but no one was more surprised than Robin, whose legs were still shaking, she had felt every hair in her body suddenly stand up, her entire body had frozen in an instant, she had seen flashes of her life, she had been sure this would be the end, only for Luffy to protect her with his life.
Luffy landed on the beach before quickly looking at Robin with concern, who was still shocked after what just transpired, her face pale and her body still shaking. "Are you alright, Robin?"
Luffy's voice, filled with a combination of warmth and determination, seemed to effortlessly break through the noise of Robin's troubled thoughts. A profound sense of gratitude washed over her as she shifted her attention towards him. Her eyes, moistened by unshed tears of relief, reflected the depth of emotions that words simply couldn't express. A genuine smile of thanks graced Robin's face for the second time since their meeting, illuminating her normally reserved demeanor.
Luffy instinctively took a step closer. With a gentle yet purposeful movement, he wrapped his arm around her in a tight embrace. The embrace acted as a powerful shield, making her feel safe and secure, which she had longed for. As Luffy's reassuring presence enveloped her, Robin instinctively leaned into him, finding solace in his warmth and genuine care.
"You are safe with me, Robin. I will never allow anyone ever again to harm any of you." Luffy promised with a hushed voice against her ears. His words made her blush slightly, but she quickly regained her composure as Luffy pulled away from her before looking at the old man.
"I want to see this 'Forbidden Place', do you know how to get there?" Luffy asked, his voice sharp and firm. Pagaya looked at him with concern before letting out a sigh.
"I guess trying to change your mind will be pointless. What you just did to God Enel and one of his Servants. I know for a fact that you have pissed him off. I doubt he will allow any of you to escape this place before he passes his judgment," the man said, looking at the Crew with concern. Zoro simply scoffed, while Usopp seemed to be shaking in fear.
"I don't care about his judgment; his servant threatened my Crew. He was not sent here to say 'Hello'. He was sent here to measure us and force us to meet this 'God' Enel, and if he wants to meet us so badly, then his wish will be granted." Luffy spoke with an emotionless voice, sending shivers down everyone's spine; even Zoro gulped slightly; they knew something had changed with Luffy since the fight with Akainu.
"Can't we just take the ship?" Nojiko suddenly suggested that while Vivi was busy with her thoughts, she couldn't help but feel a little left out, and her thoughts kept going back to her home.
"Your father, the king of Alabasta, delivered a public speech yesterday, and due to your treasonous acts of becoming a pirate and abandoning your country, he has made the difficult decision to remove you from the line of succession," Vivi could feel tears behind her eyes, that she desperately tried to hold back, despite how hard she tried, her mind again went back to her father and her people. She had no doubt that many in her country saw her as a traitor for leaving them behind to become a Pirate. For leaving them right after the country came out of a civil war, the Alabasta was still in shambles. It would take years for it to return to how it was before the Civil War.
Vivi wasn't sure anymore. She didn't know anymore if joining the Straw Hats had been the right decision. She enjoyed the Sea; she loved the feeling of sailing and being with her friends, being free and doing whatever she wanted, being with Luffy, the way he smiled at her, the way his hands felt. Vivi wanted and desired all that and more.
But now, knowing what the cost was, what her 'freedom' had caused her father. Vivi didn't know anymore, and both Zoro and Nojiko noticed her state of despair.
Nojiko looked at Vivi with concern, hoping she would get better soon. She knew what Vivi was going through wasn't something she could fix, wasn't something that could be fixed with a few words. Vivi needed to decide for herself whether or not she was a Pirate or a Princess. On the other hand, Zoro looked at Vivi with disappointment and didn't even try to hide it.
"Ah! I'm sorry! There's a headwind right now. With this wind, going to Upper Yard will take quite long! I'm sorry!" Pagaya announces, his finger in the air.
"What?!" He shouts.
"Quite long?!" Usopp shrieks.
"If this ship moved using Dial energy, it wouldn't take that long. I'm sorry," Pagaya explains.
"How long do you mean by "quite long"?" Sanji asks him.
"I don't know. Only the wind knows," The old man replies.
"I see... Quite long, huh?" Usopp questions. "I'd very much like to go, since I'm worried about Nami. Even I, Usopp-sama, the hero...can't control the wind."
"Old guy! Isn't there any other way to get there quicker?" Luffy asks him as he pulls out the waver they had found.
"So, this is your old waver. This is really old," Pagaya remarks as he inspects the beaten-down waver.
"We found it in the sea in the world below," Usopp explains.
"Would you like me to take a look? If it can be fixed, I'll fix it for you," He replies with a little smile while his daughter still looks at Luffy with concern.
"You can fix it, old guy?" Luffy asks him.
"I'm a dial ship engineer," Pagaya confesses.
"Well? Usopp, look at this!" Chopper exclaims as he finishes his cloud man.
"Mine's finished, too!" Usopp declares, looking at his cloud figures of the rest of them. "Check out that art! Don't they look just like us?"
"That's amazing!" The little Doctor exclaims.
"Just how does that look like us?!" Sanji growls, kicking the Sniper in the head and destroying Usopp's figurines. "This is what I think...of your art! While Nami-san could be in danger, you're fooling around!"
"Stop it! How dare you?!" Usopp cries as he clings to Sanji's other leg.
"Take this! And this!" The Cook snaps as he stamps on the remains of the cloud figures.
"Don't take it out on my art!" He cries like a baby.
"Can it be fixed?" Luffy asks Pagaya, ignoring his chef and Sniper bickering like little kids.
"I'm sorry, but I can't say much until I investigate it more," The old man replies, but Luffy knows people are approaching them; even Usopp starts noticing them as their footsteps get louder.
"Who are they?" Luffy asks with a look of caution in his eyes, and they all look to the stairs to see a group of men marching towards them.
"You, suspicious ship over there, hold it!" One of the men shouts down to them.
"Who're they?" He questions; Nojiko leans over the ship's side, watching the men crawl across the beach towards them. Luffy couldn't help but find their way of walking, or in this case, crawling a little weird.
"Why the heck are they crawling?" Sanji questions, looking completely dumbfounded, even Zoro, for someone who didn't show much emotion, even he looked genuinely surprised.
"I don't know," Usopp replies. "They're probably...weirdos!"
"What?! So those are weirdos...." Chopper gasps as he decides to hide behind Zoro's foot.
"Everyone, halt!" The man at the front orders, and they get to their feet.
"Heso!" The men greet the others.
"Heso!" Conis replies.
"Why, heso!" Pagaya replies.
"What are you guys saying?" Luffy questions as he steps in front of his Crew, little bolts of lightning and wind dancing around his good arm.
"Who're they?" Zoro asks, looking at the old man in confusion.
"Usopp said they're weirdos," Chopper replies.
"So you're the eight illegal entrants who came from the Blue Sea?!" The leader shouts.
"What?" They shouted.
"I'll humbly bring Heaven's Judgement upon you!"
"Illegal entrants?!" Pagaya gasps with his daughter, Conis, but Luffy stares at them blankly.
"Hm? Illegal entry? What's that?" Luffy asks them, looking at the kind family.
"I-Is that right?" He stutters, looking at the Captain, shocked.
"There's no use making excuses," The Leader announces, fishing out some photos from his cape, "since Amazon, the inspector at Heaven's Gate, sent us pictures taken by a Vision Dial."
"Oh, no! That can't be true!" The kind man exclaims, trying to argue with the soldiers. "Isn't that some sort of a mistake, Captain McKinley?! They're not bad people like you say."
"What do you mean by illegal entry?" Sanji asks, looking at the - - soldiers wearily; he didn't know if they were supposed to be the Marine version of the Sky Island.
"Was the entrance fee 1 billion Extol per person? It's true we didn't pay that." Robin explains, as she quickly figured out what they were talking about, but she noticed something right away: the body of Enel's servant was no longer lying there; she quickly realized that Luffy must have thrown it over the beach; the only thing left from him was the fresh blood on the sand.
"But that old lady said we could still pass without paying, didn't she?" Usopp questions.
"Yes, she did!" Chopper agrees.
"It's true. There should be some type of better explanation when you get here."
"It's no use. Please stop making excuses and admit it." Captain McKinley remarks. "However, there's no need to get panicked yet. 'Illegal entry' is only a 11th degree crime according to 'Heaven's Judgement'. Once you accept your punishment, you can become legal tourists on the spot."
"Oh, you should've said so sooner. I still don't like it, but just what is this punishment?" Sanji questions.
"It's simple." He replies. "Please pay ten times the entrance fee. If you pay right now, we'll humbly write off your crime. 10 billion Extol per person, in other words, 90 billion Extol for all nine of you."
"N-Ninety billion Extol?!" Usopp stutters. "S-So how much is one Extol in Berries?"
"Berry... That's the currency in the Blue Sea, right?" The Captain questions. "Ten thousand Extol is one Berry."
"Ten thousand Extol is one Berry... One, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, million..." The Sniper tries counting on his fingers. "Ahh! How much would that be?"
"Then, 90 billion Extol is 9 million Berries." Robin answers with a cute smile on her face, making Sanji drop his cigarette.
While Luffy cleared his throat. "If that is all, then we will pay, and I suppose that means we are free, right?" Luffy spoke firmly; the Captain of the strange marines couldn't help but gulp. Luffy's look made him sweat, but he quickly cleared his throat as his eyes landed on the ship.
"Actually, it is not enough. You have anchored here without permission, you have to come with us." The Captain didn't notice that Luffy was now glaring at them, at all of them, and the wind around his feet was getting stronger and faster.
"Anything Else?"
"Yes, you have spent more than an hour here; you will pay for that hour, too." The Captain added, as a blast of cold suddenly spread through the surrounding atmosphere, enveloping the area in an icy grip, the feeling in the air became akin to the depths of a winter chill. A small but powerful tornado swiftly materialized around Luffy, intensifying the winds to a remarkable speed. Completely caught off guard, the unprepared soldiers found themselves at the mercy of the cyclonic forces generated by Luffy's aura. Helplessly, they were lifted off their feet, tumbling through the air before colliding with the ground below, their bodies crashing with a resounding impact.
"I overestimated myself, and my Crew paid for my recklessness. Never Again." Luffy murmured under his breath as the tornado got larger and stronger. The Captain was the only one left, but the only reason why he wasn't blown away yet was because Luffy wanted to say something; the wind increased its speed, and Luffy's feet slowly lifted off from the ground, something that made his Crew gasp in awe, especially the Sky People.
"Your precious 'God' is next," Luffy said with a threatening look as the Captain was blown away before falling down, the fall knocking him unconscious. Luffy's tornado slowly disappeared, and as his feet landed back on the ground, he was no longer floating, but he quickly noticed something new about his Devil Fruit, something Shanks either didn't know or didn't tell him; he could feel the way his body was reacting, it wasn't finished yet, but Luffy was certain he could reach the next level soon.
Storm Fruit and The Second Gear allowed me to increase my power by using my lightning and the wind. Luffy's thoughts trailed off, now realizing why his fruit was different, as the first genuine smile formed on his lips since his fight with Akainu, but this smile wasn't one of joy. He turned to face his Crew, but before he could tell them that they needed to go to whatever this 'God' lives, they all heard the sound of the door opening nearby, and everyone turned to face someone who walked out of their ship, stepping into the main deck.
He was the same man Luffy had knocked unconscious when he attacked them after they arrived on Sky Island. He was a tall, muscular man who sported a pair of little wings on his back. He's covered by various tribal tattoos across his left shoulder and the left side of his face. He has long dark brown hair arranged in a mohawk that follows into a segmented braid that goes slightly past his waist, and he has little spherical earrings. He was wearing a grass skirt with a rope belt decorated with three small ornaments that looked like fangs or claws around his waist.
"So you are finally awake?" Luffy asked with a hint of caution, wondering if the man would try to attack them again, but instead, he said something Luffy didn't expect as he turned to face Luffy specifically.
"You want to kill, Enel. Well, I want to help you."
