The Son Of Dante

Naruto took his frustration out on the lsin scythes that had appeared in the large tunnel. These enemies are keeping the exit door to the tall tower sealed, so from one point of view Naruto was fighting them so that they could progress further, but Dante knew better.

He sighed as he watched naruto charge recklessly into the middle of the enemies, slashing everything in front of him. Was he ever this impulsive as a teenager? Then again, he was probably worst than Naruto since he couldn't remember a single battle he fought as a teen were he was injured in one way or another. His ego was so big that because he wouldn't even bother to block attacks from enemies he deemed to be weaker than him.

'I remember having to spend a fortune on clothes back then because I was always destroying them' Dante sighed dejectedly. He really wished that he could go back in time and slap some sense into his younger self.

After making a mental note to teach himself a lesson if he ever acquire the power to travel back in time Dante looked up just in time to see Naruto defeating the last of the sin scythe. Fortunately he had calmed down a bit or else he might just have to carry him around unconscious.

Once the last of the sin scythe completely disintegrated the seal preventing them from reaching the door shattered like glass into a million pieces, disappearing before it reached the ground. In a millisecond the door was back to normal with no sign that there was ever a seal there. In fact, it was the same with the demons, with their bodies gone nobody would give that a battle had once taken place here.

Naruto exhaled deeply. Purgatory in his hand was covered in blood. Blood slid down the blade of purgatory before dripping off the tip. With a casual swing of the blade Naruto wiped the blood off the blade.

He finally felt at ease now that he had blown off some steam even though he still smelled horrible.

He took a light sniff of himself and nearly threw up.

"Are you done?"

A voice said behind Naruto, he turned around to see Dante looking at him with a funny expression on his face.

"What?!" Naruto barked.

"Nothing" Dante shook his head as he resists the urge to laugh. The way Naruto had just sniffed himself made Dante think of a dog but he didn't dare voice it or else Naruto wouldn't let him off the hook.

"Let's just get the hell out of here"

Naruto looked suspiciously at Dante. He had a feeling that Dante was hiding something from him. But since he couldn't figure it out he decided that he was worth thinking about. He shrugged and said.

"Okay" He fastened purgatory to his back before following after Dante. If only he knew that Dante had compared him not long ago. How would he react?

They exited the sewer and returned back into the tall tower. There were Beelzebubs at the foot of the stairway with an elevator and a wheel device like the one they used before.

Naruto groaned when he saw the beezlebubs. "Great. More bugs. Just what we needed"

The beezlebubs was an enemy that he never wanted to see again. If he could he would wish that they go extinct.

"Quite your common and start fighting" Dante roll his eyes at Naruto. Just one foul smell and he was already treating the beezlebubs like a plague. Dante ignored the grumbling youth as he pulled out Ebony and Ivory and put them to work.

Gunshots echoed in the room. Bullets ruthlessly tore the bugs to pieces. They fought against the wave of Beelzebubs as they first needed to deal with them before they could focus on the wheel device.

Naruto kept his distance from the bug only using his guns to fight. Whenever a beezlebub got too close he would either immediately put some distance between them or use his shotgun to blast them away.

Bullet shells hit the ground with heavy ckanks, the sound of more than a dozen bullet shells hitting the ground formed a cacophony of sound.

If it wasn't for the fact that Naruto's limbo was special made like Dante's guns, Naruto would have run out of magazine a long time ago and be forced to enter melee.

It didn't take long for all the beezlebubs to be killed.

Dante placed Ivory and Ebony back in their holster before grabbing Alastor. All Naruto heard was a loud crackle lightning before Dante disappeared from his side.

Stinger!

Clank!

A loud crisp sound echoed inside the tower like a dull bell.

Naruto looked up to see Dante standing in front of the wheel device with purgatory on his shoulders.

Amidst Naruto's quizzical gaze a round platform slowly descended from the sky.

"Come on" Dante urged him as he climbed unto the platform. Naruto shook his head before climbing after him and the platform slowly floated back up. Neither of them said anything, however Dante could feel Naruto sneaking glances at him which was unusual of the usually outspoken teenager. He tried to ignore it at first but agter a few seconds he soon lost his patient.

"What is it?!" Dante blurted out not being able to take it anymore. "If you have something you want to say to me then say it. It's not like you are trying to ask me out!"

Naruto hesitated when he heard Dante's words. It wasn't that he didn't know what he wanted to say he just didn't know how to say it. However, after a few seconds he decided to just go with the flow.

"Dante, that demon knight from before.... Do you know him?"

Dante frowned when he heard Naruto's question. What made Naruto think that he knew the demon? Did he see him and demon battling it out?

Contrary to what Dante thought Naruto had noticed not only the demon's reaction to Dante's pendant but the look of sadness in Dante's eyes after the demon disappeared.

Naruto looked at Dante who has fallen silent after he hearing his question. He silently down observed Dante's emotionless expression and after a few seconds Dante finally opened his mouth again.

"No...." Dante turned to look at Naruto with a serious expression. "I don't know that demon"
