Chapter 351: Anime Announcement

"By the way, when is everyone's school festival?" Nanami asked curiously, changing the topic.

Upon hearing this, Homura thought for a moment before looking at Megumi.

"Our Toyogasaki should be a while away, right?"

"It's in November, so yeah." Megumi nodded.

Nonetheless, while the school festival of Toyogasaki High School was still a while away, the other schools might be different.

"November, huh…? Isn't that basically winter already?" Nanami said in surprise.

At this, Homura nodded.

"Maybe because there's Obon afterward? Doing Obon in summer, people would probably die from the heat."

"Makes sense..." Nanami giggled.

"But Sakuragaoka's festival is pretty early. It's happening later this month." Homura said after thinking for a moment. "As for Otonokizaka, theirs is early next month."

Most Japanese schools in this world held their school festivals, also known as cultural festivals, around September, but the ones Homura was familiar with were exceptions.

Nanami was basically asking if any school festivals were coming up soon.

"Sakuragaoka is Tsumugi's school, right? And it's this month... Isn't it coming up soon?" Nanami looked excited. "They'll perform, right? Any chance they'll have a new song?"

"There are still about twenty days left... So, uh, maybe, possibly, probably, hopefully, they'll have something new?" Homura scratched his head awkwardly.

Hearing this hesitant answer, the girls all wore deadpan expressions.

It was obvious he wasn't very confident himself.

"Even if there isn't, there are still the two songs you gave them, right?" Nanami awkwardly smiled. "Yeah, that counts as new songs."

'Girl, did you even realize you were already making excuses for them?' Homura rolled his eyes.

"What about Suiko?" Utaha asked.

"Suiko..." Nanami thought for a moment. "It's in October but the art department only has ten students across all three grades, so if they don't collaborate, they won't have a proper program. As for us in the general department... people like me who are in the go-home club will probably just have to go along with whatever our classes do."

"Getting the art department students to collaborate is a pain in the ass." Homura shook his head. "I mean, their personalities are all over the place. You can't even be sure if they'll communicate properly with each other."

"I can communicate well with everyone, can't I?" Mashiro, wearing a puzzled expression, wondered.

Homura smiled, patting Mashiro's head.

"Not talking about you... But Mashiro, do you have any intention of participating in the festival?"

"Hmm..." Mashiro thought for a moment before answering. "Drawing my manga?"

"Something like a manga exhibition?" Eriri raised her eyebrows. "No way... If it's something you haven't published yet, wouldn't that be leaking it early? And if it's already serialized, no one's gonna care. The only thing that'd draw attention is the fact that it's the work of Shiina Mashiro."

"Why manga? Why not an art exhibition?" Izumi asked curiously.

"No art exhibition. I like manga." Mashiro shook her head.

"Simply put, Mashiro probably won't participate..." Nanami sighed. "So that just leaves me? But class projects are usually just running a shop or something, right? Honestly, I'm more excited about the school festivals of Sakuragaoka and Otonokizaka."

"Uh, isn't that in October? Isn't it kinda early to be talking about this?" Elf chimed in speechlessly.

Everyone: "..."

No choice.

Once they started talking, it was hard to stop.

"Oh, crap, I almost forgot!" Homura suddenly exclaimed and slapped his forehead. "I forgot to announce the anime adaptation of Fate today!"

Girls: "..."

Now that Homura mentioned it, they had also forgotten!

It seemed like yesterday's events had really added a lot to their worries.

Homura pulled out his phone, scrolled through it for a bit, and found the photo he had taken with Akane.

Without adding a single word, he posted it on his blog.

Next, he contacted Akane, asking her to play along.

Before long, the internet blew up.

...

[Comment 1: Yo, who's the gorgeous lady chilling with Minamiya-sensei? Why does this lady feel hella familiar?]

[Comment 2: Hold up, ain't that Kousaka Akane? How the heck did they end up rolling together? Some collab or what?]

[Comment 3: OMG! Are they merging their circles?!]

[Comment 4: Bro, don't freak me out like that! Merging my ass!]

[Comment 5: If they did merge, who do you think's gonna be the boss here?]

[Comment 6: Rouge en rouge, no cap! Another Dimension isn't bad, but it still can't be compared to Rouge en rouge.]

[Comment 7: Nonsense! Rouge en rouge's only good because of Kousaka Akane. Even if she's more impressive than Kasumi Utako and Kashiwagi Eri combined, the big shots from Another Dimension ain't just them two!]

[Comment 8: Yeah, Another Dimension has mad potential, fam! Seen the sick quality of Fate? It says it all!]

[Comment 9: Hey, did y'all spot something on the table in this pic?]

[Comment 10: Hold up, is that the artwork of Fate? Wait, Minamiya-sensei ain't selling Fate's copyright, right?]

[Comment 11: Why y'all gotta be negative all the time? Can't we think of something positive for once?]

...

Homura and the girls were all left dumbfounded upon reading the comments.

Weren't these comments too wild?

"Homura... You're not gonna explain this?" Elf asked, her lips twitching. "If you keep dragging this out, nonsense rumors are gonna spread like crazy!"

"Yeah, looks like I kinda hit their sensitive nerves. Guess I'll just make it official then." Homura shook his head helplessly.

Even though this kind of exposure could be used for publicity, he didn't want things to get out of hand with endless rumors.

...

[Minamiya: Y'all have some wild imaginations. How come not a single person guessed what I was actually trying to say? Fine, I'll just spill it!]

[Minamiya: I'm announcing that the anime adaptation of Fate/stay night is officially in the works! Since the workload's massive, I decided to team up with Miss Kousaka. With Rouge en Rouge and Another Dimension handling the work, I guarantee y'all won't be disappointed with the animation quality!]

[Minamiya: Of course, Fate also secured a spot in the July anime lineup! And for now, we're adapting the Fate route! So, to all King Arthur's fans—let's cheer for our king together!]

*BAM!*

As soon as Homura posted his comments, comments flooded in like a tidal wave!

[Comment 1: Yo, is this real? It's been just two days since the game dropped, and bam, they already slapped an anime adaptation outta nowhere?]

[Comment 2: Another Dimension is seriously cooking!]

[Comment 3: Hold up, it's the Fate route! Artoria's route!]

[Comment 4: Kinda bummed, though. I want Rin.]

[Comment 5: Why the rush? It's not impossible for other routes to get adapted too.]

[Comment 6: BTW, it's only been two days, right? Did y'all already finish all the routes?]

[Comment 7: Man, I couldn't resist and went online for scoops on other routes. Couldn't wait, had to dive into the hype early.]

[Comment 8: Another Dimension is just too darn awesome!]

...

"Oh, the praise just keeps coming in! Yosh, this really gets me fired up!" Elf cracked her knuckles, looking eager to get started.

"Haha..." Homura chuckled. "Well, you should take a break for a couple of days. I mean, the whole point of giving everyone time off is to let you relax."

"Yeah, but for us students, there's no such thing as a real break." Eriri chimed in lazily while lying on the couch.

"Even when we're still working, aren't we still going to school like normal? Does this even count as a break?" Utaha sighed.

"It is what it is..." Eriri also sighed, then turned her head to Homura. "So... we start again on Thursday?"

"Yep." Homura nodded.

"In that case, I'm gonna head home for two days. If my mom finds out I had time off and didn't even think about going home, I don't even wanna imagine the chaos she'd cause."

Eriri shook her head, looking completely helpless.
