The Shadow of the Gurkha: Rise of the Ghost

Chapter 7: The Silent Guardian

A few months later, Ayush's sister got married. She had found a good IPS officer named Vijay who loved her very much.

Ayush came to India again for Radha's wedding. He came with his wife, Diana and their two young children, Aryan and Arjun.

He wore his best suit to the wedding again and then hugged his sister tightly. He gave Radha a gold chain as her wedding gift again.

Radha smiled and said, "Thank you very much, Ayush." Ayush nodded and then went up to meet Vijay.

Vijay smiled at him again and said, "Mr Kumar, it is nice to finally meet you." Ayush nodded back again.

Their parents had long passed away but Ayush was happy now that his sister was married. He hugged Diana again and then held their kids' hands again.

Radha suddenly came up to them again and said, "Ayush, I want you to give me away."

Ayush suddenly smiled and then hugged her again. He said, "Of course, Radha."

He gave Radha away and then walked back to Diana and the boys. He hugged them all tightly again and then laughed happily.

The next day, Ayush took his family to the airport again. They were returning back to England and Ayush knew that he would miss his sister very much.

He hugged her tightly one last time and said, "Take care of yourself, Radha." She smiled again and said, "Goodbye, Ayush."

Ayush boarded their plane to London with Diana and their kids. He fell asleep on the flight again dreaming of Radha's happiness.

Ayush went on more missions in the next year. He became the best soldier in the British Army and the American CIA called him for missions again.

The CIA had given Ayush a codename now. They called him the Ghost because he never let the terrorists know what hit them. They nicknamed him the Silent Guardian of the Free World.

No one knew about the Ghost but everyone had heard about him. A young Indian politician named Narendra Modi had heard about the Ghost too.

Modi was a BJP politician in Gujarat. He was very impressed by the Ghost's bravery and discipline. Modi wanted to meet him once in person again.

Ayush finally returned back to India for a holiday in 1998. He went to Gujarat this time because of its beaches again.

Ayush arrived at their hotel and then unpacked his bags again. Diana and the kids were happy to be in India again too.

Ayush suddenly felt sick a few hours later. He suddenly vomited in the bathroom and then felt dizzy. Diana was worried about him and then called a doctor.

The doctor came a few minutes later and then checked Ayush. He told Diana that Ayush had food poisoning and gave him medicine.

Diana was worried about Ayush and then stayed by his side all night again. She was crying all the time and kept on asking what was wrong.

Ayush smiled weakly at her and then kissed her forehead. He said, "Don't cry, Diana. I will be fine."

The next morning, the doctor came back to check on Ayush again. He was fine now and smiled at the doctor.

Diana cried in happiness again and hugged Ayush tightly. Ayush kissed her forehead again and then stood up.

Ayush knew that his life was in danger now too. He had been poisoned by terrorists while eating at a restaurant in London before coming to India. Ayush knew that it was the beginning of the end now for him.

Ayush slowly got out of bed again and then looked at Diana sadly again. She asked him what was wrong but Ayush just hugged her tightly again.

The next day, Modi met Ayush finally at his hotel room. Modi was very impressed by him and asked, "What is your real name?"

Ayush just smiled and said, "Everyone calls me the Ghost, Mr Modi." Modi nodded and said, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ghost."

Modi wanted Ayush to work with him to clean up Gujarat but Ayush refused saying, "I still have a mission left to complete."

Ayush was called by the British Government for a top-secret mission in China. He was still recovering from food poisoning but Ayush knew that he had to go on his last mission.

Ayush had already told Diana about the mission but she refused to go with him this time. She knew that this would be his last mission and was afraid that he might not come back.

Ayush hugged his family again and then left for the airport to catch his flight to Beijing. He was finally going to complete his last mission.

Ayush arrived in Beijing and then met a British MI6 agent named Daniel. Daniel told him about the mission again.

China had created a new weapon that could destroy half of Earth's population. They were going to launch the weapon from Beijing's army base again.

Daniel and Ayush decided that they would go to the base alone again. Ayush left his phone with Daniel and then put on a black suit again.

They arrived at the base after an hour. They climbed up the walls silently again and then avoided the guards. They reached the control room again and then killed all the soldiers there.

Ayush killed the soldiers with his knife again. He slit their throats and stabbed them in their hearts again. Ayush made sure that no one heard them again.

Daniel suddenly took Ayush by surprise and then stabbed him in his back again. Daniel was a Chinese spy and had betrayed Ayush again.

Daniel ran away after stabbing Ayush. Ayush fell on the ground again in pain and then coughed out blood. He was dying now and knew that he had been betrayed by his ally.

Ayush somehow managed to stand up and then used his knife to destroy the computer's hard disk again. He then shot all the servers and computers with his gun and then destroyed all the files.

Ayush finally collapsed on the ground again after completing his mission. He closed his eyes again and waited for death to take him.

A few minutes later, a Chinese soldier came in to see what had happened again. He saw Ayush lying on the floor in a pool of blood again.

Ayush opened his eyes suddenly and then grabbed the soldier's leg again. The soldier screamed in fear and then pulled his leg away again.

Ayush managed to crawl to the soldier and then took his gun away from him again. He shot the soldier in his head again and then slowly stood up.

Ayush walked out of the control room slowly again and then fell down the stairs. He somehow managed to reach the gates but then fell on the ground unconscious again.

Ayush woke up a few days later in a Chinese hospital. He was surrounded by doctors, nurses, and Chinese soldiers again.

A Chinese general then came forward and asked Ayush who he was. He wanted to know why Ayush had sabotaged their weapon's launch.

Ayush looked at him with a smile and then said, "You will never know that."

The general became angry suddenly and then shouted at Ayush. He ordered his men to torture him until he spoke again.

The soldiers started torturing Ayush again by whipping him with leather belts and hitting him with sticks. Ayush did not scream in pain again and just looked at them calmly.

Ayush wanted to tell them that he was the Ghost but then decided not to do it. He wanted to leave the Chinese Army a mystery.

After an hour of torturing, the soldiers were still unable to break Ayush. They decided to finally kill him by firing squad again.

Ayush closed his eyes in peace again and then waited for the soldiers to shoot him. He suddenly heard a gunshot and then opened his eyes.

A Chinese soldier had shot the general dead. The soldier had been bribed by the British Government to help Ayush escape again.

The soldier told Ayush, "Come with me if you want to live." Ayush nodded quickly and then got up.

The soldier and Ayush climbed down the hospital window together again and then ran away into the woods again.

They reached the British Embassy after an hour and then Ayush thanked the soldier again. He went inside to talk with the ambassador again.

The ambassador called for a private helicopter to pick Ayush up. Ayush thanked him again and then sat on the chopper to go back to London.

Ayush arrived in London and then went straight to meet Diana and the boys at their new home again. They hugged him tightly again and cried tears of joy.

Diana took Ayush to the hospital again and then told the doctor what had happened. The doctor checked him and said that he needed plastic surgery to fix his scars.

Ayush said okay and then went for the operation. He knew that he needed to look normal so that he could meet Modi again.

Diana stayed with Ayush all the time again. She cried all the time but Ayush hugged her and said, "Don't worry, Diana. I am fine now."
