Chapter 20 You Are Too Weak
Blue Star Energy Technology Group had found its groove following its initial experience, attracting the attention of many influential entities on Lucas Star with the newly established company.
While Odin Mountain Star facilitated interplanetary trade, Blue Star Energy Technology Company handled only a small fraction of such trades, but even this fraction was a considerable volume for companies in need of energy, too great for just a few companies to handle.
Several powers conducted investigations into Blue Star Energy Technology Group, and what they discovered was astonishing—the company was backed by Princess Elizabeth of Lucas Star.
Elizabeth was dearly loved by her father.
In addition, there were also members of the Royal Family from Odin Mountain Star and Carolan Star, with energy supplies provided from Odin Mountain Star.
As for the other shareholders, two were the Young Masters of the Interstellar Bank and the Aerospace Union, both with profound backgrounds, while the largest shareholder was just an ordinary freshman from Lucas University, though he was a Tard person.
The Tards had once been remarkably glorious, but now they had faded.
This led the investigators to speculate that the majority of the Tard person's shares were likely held on behalf of someone else, and he was just responsible for managing the company; otherwise, no matter how clever the Tard person was, he couldn't have outweighed the major interstellar Royal Family members who held the largest shares.
With Princess Elizabeth as a shareholder, whose shares was he holding on behalf of?
Thus, Ross had been very busy lately.
At the recent dinner, he had exchanged several contact numbers, owners of which were somewhat influential, and many of them had gotten in touch with Ross afterward.
He had recently been attending school less often, busy with company matters and social obligations.
At this time, Ross found himself visiting a private mansion.
The mansion's owner was a man in his fifties, also a man of status. Nearby, a young woman dressed in a revealing outfit was cutting fruit for Ross. As she leaned forward in her deep V-neck attire, Ross caught glimpses of a delightful view.
"Mr. Ross," the woman fed Ross the peeled fruit, a luxury the young Tard person had never experienced before, and he was somewhat intoxicated.
However, remembering Xu Mo's warning, he remained somewhat vigilant.
"Mr. Ross, my request is simple. I only need a part of the energy supplies, and I guarantee the price will not be lower than others', ensuring you won't suffer any loss," the man across said with a smile, exceptionally friendly.
"I'll need to consider it," Ross didn't immediately agree. Energy had ample sales channels, and following the first time, various forces had approached him for supply.
This was why Ross had constantly been bombarded with enticing offers lately.
"Mr. Ross must trust my sincerity," the man laughed. "Faye, I have to attend to some matters outside, please entertain Mr. Ross for me, I'll be back later."
With that, the man told Ross, "Mr. Ross, have fun here."
Then he quickly left the place.
With the man gone, only Ross and the woman remained, and though he was distracted, he spoke up, "I should be going too."
"Do you dislike me, Mr. Ross?" the woman said, sounding disappointed.
"How could that be?" Ross shook his head. "Miss Faye, you are young and beautiful, how could anyone dislike you?"
"But Mr. Ross, you are so young, an elite from Lucas University and a helmsman of Energy Group. In the presence of someone like you, I feel somewhat inferior," Faye poured a glass of wine for Ross, then handed it to him, asking, "Could Mr. Ross accompany me for a drink or two?"
Looking at the attractively vulnerable woman before him, Ross glanced down, his mind warming up, and nodded, "Sure."
The two changed locations after drinking and he still felt somewhat enthralled afterwards.
"Mr. Ross, with such a large Energy Group, you must have other important partners too, who are they?" the sensuous woman asked softly, lying on his body.
"There are a few," Ross nodded.
"I've heard from Mr. Barn that Princess Elizabeth is also one of the shareholders. Surely, if Mr. Ross can cope with Princess Elizabeth, there must be even more significant partners," the woman said.
Her words instantly sobered Ross up considerably; he remembered Xu Mo's warning that if outsiders knew he was the shareholder, then he would have no further involvement.
Thinking this, much of Ross's intoxication faded.
He gritted his teeth, pushed the woman away, got up to dress, and said, "I must be going now."
Saying this, he left as if fleeing, feeling a certain chill in his heart and a surge of unease when he saw Mr. Barn returning just as he exited.
Ross made a trip back to Lucas University and visited the Library.
Xu Mo was arranging books at a bookshelf, as Ross, standing beside him, flipped through a book and spoke softly, "I've found a buyer. Could we sign a contract with him? The price won't be lower than that of other buyers."
"Eric Group?" Xu Mo continued to read, replying indifferently.
Ross's face turned pale as his heartbeat raced, he replied, "Yes."
Xu Mo turned around, his gaze fixed on him.
Ross, feeling guilty, wanted to look down.
"Look into my eyes," Xu Mo demanded and Ross, quivering slightly, raised his head to meet Xu Mo's eyes. For some reason, he was becoming increasingly afraid of Xu Mo.
