The Sekirei’s Covenant

Chapter 6: 6 The Sekirei Disband

On Kamikura Island, a cool young man with a long sword was preparing to board a ship and leave.

But just as the young man was about to step onto the ship, a voice suddenly came from behind him:

"Little Mutsu, it's not right to leave without saying goodbye!"

The young man was startled and immediately turned around, holding his sword in front of him. But when he saw the people walking towards him, a look of hesitation flashed in his eyes, and he slowly lowered his sword.

"Sora-sama, I…" Looking at the handsome man walking in front, the young man lowered his head in shame, like a child who had done something wrong.

The man still had a slightly charming smile on his face, but he didn't show any sign of blame. However, a girl with long, prominent ahoge (a cowlick-like strand of hair) behind the man stepped forward and said with some excitement:

"Mutsu, why did you leave without saying goodbye? Isn't it nice to live together?"

Faced with such a pure girl, the young man couldn't answer her question, and the man on the side shook his head helplessly.

This girl's heart was so pure that it was free of any impurities. Although her question was abrupt, no one thought she was wrong.

"Hehe, don't worry, Little Mutsu, I'm not here to stop you. Here, take this. An MBI-special black card with unlimited cash withdrawals. Consider it a small farewell gift."

Walking forward, Sora handed a black card to the young man, patted him on the shoulder, and continued:

"Hehe, actually, we're all men, I understand! You're clearly a man, but you're always being bossed around by a bunch of little girls. It must be hard on you, right? Ah, you poor kid, go out and make a name for yourself. One day, you'll become a real man!"

As Sora spoke, he gave him a look of great sympathy, making the young man's face darken. The girls behind him giggled, their beautiful and cute faces flushed.

"Hmph!" The slight feeling of gratitude that had just arisen in his heart was completely erased by Sora's words. The young man snorted coldly, turned around, jumped onto the ship, and left without looking back.

"Waaah, Sora-sama, why does Matsu have to do this? Matsu doesn't have any combat abilities, so it's easy for me to die! If Matsu dies, who will massage Sora-sama's shoulders and legs in the future? Please give this difficult task to someone else!" A girl with brown pigtails and glasses was looking at Sora with a pitiful expression. Her appearance and tone made it seem like she had really suffered a great injustice.

Lines appeared on Sora's face as he looked at the girl who was acting cute and trying to get his sympathy. He coughed and said:

"Ahem, Little Glasses, you have to know that you are the invincible 'Shame Sekirei'! If you don't do this, who will? You have to know that those things can't be put together. If they resonate by accident, it will cause a huge disaster!"

"So, Little Glasses, for the peace of the Earth and the tranquility of the universe, your sacrifices are worth it! The people of the world will be grateful to you! Look, this is a small token of appreciation from peace-loving people. You won't have to worry about living for several lifetimes. Take it!"

With a sincere look, Sora took out another black card and handed it to the girl with glasses.

"Hmph! Sora-sama, how many times have I told you? Matsu is called the 'Wisdom Sekirei', not the 'Shame Sekirei'! You heartless jerk, I'll never forgive you if I die!" The girl with glasses grabbed the black card from Sora in a huff and ran away without looking back.

However, not long after the girl with glasses left, the alarms on Kamikura Island went off. With a flurry of footsteps, a group of armed personnel with rifles came before them:

"Reporting, Sora-sama! Sekirei No. 2 stole an 'artifact'. The president has ordered us to pursue her with all our strength. Has the adult seen No. 2's whereabouts?" A captain stepped forward, gave a standard military salute to the group, and asked in a loud and decisive voice.

"What? That Little Glasses stole an artifact! Comrades, well done! You must catch her and find the 'artifact'. I saw her running that way. Hurry up and chase after her!"

Seeing that Sora was pretending to know nothing and even randomly pointed a direction to the armed personnel, the girls behind him were trying hard to hold back their laughter, their beautiful and cute faces flushed red.

"Oh, there's still one more!" Watching the armed personnel leave, Sora, without a hint of guilt for deceiving them, sighed and led the girls in another direction.

"Ugh… Sora-sama, have you come to see Kazehana off? Hehe, come on, let's have a drink together!" After a hiccup, the already incredibly alluring older sister, Kazehana, had a tipsy blush on her face, making her even more radiant.

A pair of dark eyes scanned Kazehana up and down like radar. Kazehana wasn't wearing her usual black, tight-fitting combat suit, but had changed into a tight, deep purple mini-dress. Her long, fair legs were almost entirely exposed, tempting Sora to swallow hard.

"Well, Kazehana, if Hiroto, that blind fool, can't see your worth, that's his loss! Once he misses you, he'll never find another like you. Sigh, some guys are just hopeless… destined to be alone forever…" While outwardly comforting Kazehana with sympathy, Sora was secretly delighted.

Thinking to himself, "Go out and have some fun for a few years, Kazehana, and I'll come and rescue you, my drunken beauty!"

"Waaah… Sora-sama, it's all your fault! If you hadn't stolen the president's childhood sweetheart, making him think there's no love left in the world, maybe he would have noticed me! Waaah… Give me back my president! Give me back my Ashikabi ! Give me back my man!"

"Ugh… Good wine, another cup!"

Watching the drunken Kazehana grab and shake him, Sora was speechless. Thinking to himself, "This woman is something else! After a few sips, she'll say anything."

Hehe, but I like it! Just you wait, Kazehana, you're destined to be mine!

"Sora-sama, why is everyone leaving? Yume feels so sad. And the other Sekirei haven't been fully adjusted yet. What if bad people come again?" With Mutsu gone, then Matsu, and now even Kazehana, Yume said with some disappointment.

"Hehe, Yume, they all have their own paths. We can't force them to stay." Okay, when saying this, Sora unhesitatingly chose to forget about Matsu, the girl with glasses, and continued:

"But don't worry, even if they leave, they'll still be our comrades! And after the last incident, those who want to mess with Kamikura Island won't dare to act rashly. In the future, it'll be enough for you and Karasuba to protect the 'Sekirei Project'." Sora said, stroking Yume's cute little head.

"Oh, I see! Yume understands! Sora-sama, don't worry, Yume will definitely protect the other Sekirei!"

"Huh? Sora-sama, you said it's just me and Karasuba, what about Asama Miya-sama?"

After confidently assuring Sora, the slow-witted Yume suddenly noticed Miya standing nearby and finally remembered to ask.

"Oh, you mean Miya? She's leaving too. Think about it, Yume, Miya is the queen of you Sekirei. How can we keep letting her do all the hard work? A queen just needs to drink tea, sleep, and enjoy life every day. So, from now on, these things can only be left to Yume and Karasuba!"

"So, Yume, do your best! I believe you can do it! From now on, you're the captain of the second generation disciplinary force. Lead your teammate Karasuba and make a big splash!"

While trying to ignore a jade hand invading his waist from behind, Sora continued to fill the pure Yume with sweet talk.

Karasuba still had her unchanging wicked smile. Although she wasn't as clueless as Yume, her dark personality meant she didn't care about anything as long as Sora let her keep following Yume and have someone to fight and cut down every day.

Of course, it would be even better if Sora would let her cut him. But that guy was as cunning as a cat, always slipping away, and he always kept No. 1 Miya by his side, so Karasuba couldn't find a chance to cut him.

After thinking it over, she still felt that Yume was more reliable, so Karasuba had now decided to stick with Yume.

Satisfied, Sora felt he had explained everything and left with Miya.

Now, he was going to take Miya to see the new home he had built for them, a place called "Izumo Inn."
