The Sekirei’s Covenant

Chapter 33: 33 The Battle of Madness

"Yo, Karasuba!" With his heart pounding, Sora forced himself to greet Karasuba, thinking that he might as well stall for time.

Uh, but this was just his wishful thinking. Karasuba completely ignored him, her face twisted with madness as she swung her sword at him.

A sudden surge of crisis hit Sora, and he felt the urge to curse, but he didn't dare to slack off for a moment and quickly raised his sword to block.

Clang!!! Boom!!!

Sparks flew, and the deafening sound of metal clashing nearly shattered his eardrums.

What shocked Sora even more was that this crazy woman, Karasuba, actually dared to go all out; this strike was definitely delivered with full force! Sora felt a tremendous force coming from the katana in his hand, and his body shot backward like a meteor.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh… Boom, boom, boom…

Sora felt dizzy, his hands numb, and he had no idea how many walls he had crashed through before finally stopping.

A hint of fear rose in his heart; if he hadn't used his water power to form several water curtains behind him to block most of the impact, this blow could have cost him his life!

Getting back on his feet, filled with rage, Sora shouted at the top of his lungs:

"Karasuba, you crazy woman! Crazy woman!! Crazy woman!!!"

"Ha… ha…"

Damn it, shouting it out felt so much better. Looking at the blurry figure still in the dust, Sora raised his sword—

Uh, and turned to run away…

"Oh heavens, what deep-seated grudge does this crazy woman have against me?!!!" While fleeing, Sora looked up to the sky and howled.

To escape this crazy woman faster, Sora even used his lightning power. With lightning flashing around him, he could cover dozens of meters with each step, moving so fast he was almost keeping up with a supersonic fighter jet.

However, even so, the crazy woman behind him, wielding a sword and trying to chop him down, was like a ghost, impossible to shake off!

All the way, Sora was terrified, his heart pounding so hard it felt like it was about to leap out of his chest.

It wasn't that Sora was cowardly; if his courage was considered small, there would be hardly anyone brave left in the world. It was just that the female Shura behind him was too terrifying.

She chopped down everything in her path: telephone poles, she chopped! Cars, she chopped! Houses, she chopped! If Sora hadn't chosen deserted routes to run, she might have even chopped down people!

He didn't know if he had reached the no-man's land that Minaka mentioned, but Sora couldn't care less. He was utterly exhausted; if he kept running, he would either be killed by Karasuba or collapse from fatigue.

"Ha… ha… Hey, Karasuba, after so many years, you don't need to be this excited, do you? How about we stop playing for a moment, sit down, have some tea, and talk about life?" Seeing Karasuba appear right in front of him, Sora clung to his last shred of hope.

However, Karasuba still didn't respond, her expression growing more and more excited, more and more agitated, as if something was about to explode from within her!

"Hahaha… Hahahaha… I'm back! I'm really back!!"

"Hey, Sora, do you know how long I've waited for this day? Whether it's you or Yume, you all do this, leaving without my permission!"

"Only I can kill you, only I! This time, I won't let you escape again. I will definitely kill you! Kill you!! Kill you!!!"

At this moment, Karasuba had completely lost her mind, unable to hear a single word. She just stood there talking to herself, occasionally revealing a strange smile.

Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, Sora thought, "Oh my, is this what it means to turn love into hate? Does she actually love me to death instead of wanting to kill me?"

Damn it, what kind of logic is this? Why do I have to be the one to be killed by you!!!

Sora knew that it was useless to say anything now; Karasuba couldn't hear him anymore. The only way out was to fight!

Given his current combat power, although he wasn't weak, he was genuinely lacking compared to Karasuba. The only solution was to use that move.

Although using it didn't guarantee victory, and he might have to lie in bed for the next few days, if he didn't use it, he would definitely be killed by Karasuba this time!

Moreover, his goal wasn't to defeat Karasuba right now; he just needed to hold on until Miya arrived.

Thinking this, Sora no longer hesitated and quickly mobilized the Sekirei power and mental energy within him.

Although Karasuba intended to kill Sora, since Sora wasn't running away, she wasn't in a hurry. Upon sensing the overwhelming aura suddenly erupting from Sora, she instead wore an expression of anticipation and did not act immediately.

Under Karasuba's gaze, countless purple lightning bolts erupted from Sora's body, while numerous water orbs gathered around him. The ground trembled, and a sapling broke through the concrete, rapidly growing taller.

The lightning intertwined continuously, the water orbs multiplied, and the sapling kept growing and changing.

In the end, whether it was the lightning, the water orbs, or the sapling, they all transformed into Sora's likeness, identical in every way!

This time, Sora was truly determined. Ever since he had shed his glasses, his mental power had increased significantly, and he was now able to create multiple clones simultaneously.

Facing Karasuba alone, he had no chance of winning, but with the addition of his three clones—Water, Wood, and Lightning—his combat ability could at least triple. Even if he couldn't win, he could hold out for a while.

Of course, due to the use of clones, the main body's power had to be shared among the three clones, significantly shortening the time Sora could fight. He could only pray that Miya would come to rescue him soon.

"Hey? Is this your power? So wonderful, so wonderful! I must kill them all! Kill them all!!" It seemed that Karasuba had reached her limit; she finally moved, charging at Sora's main body with a swing of her knife.

The main body and the Wood clone quickly dodged, while the Lightning clone stepped in front of Karasuba, pointing a finger. A lightning bolt as thick as a water barrel shot towards Karasuba with incredible force.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!!

With a series of explosions, all buildings within dozens of meters were obliterated under the lightning bolt.

Initially, Sora thought Karasuba would dodge, but this crazy woman actually took it head-on, wearing an incredibly excited expression as she did so!!!

Moreover, what was even more absurd was that she actually withstood it!!!

Although her clothes were torn, revealing quite a bit of skin, and her hair stood on end due to static electricity, she indeed endured it.

With a twitch of his mouth, Sora wondered if Karasuba had become a masochist after not seeing her for years? Hmm, if that's the case, they could play some thrilling games in the future.

"Ugh…" He quickly shook his head. This was a life-and-death situation; what was he thinking about? He needed to subdue this crazy girl first before thinking about anything else!!

Seeing that Karasuba was unharmed, the Lightning clone quickly distanced itself from her.

Of course, with the Lightning clone's weak defense, if Karasuba hit it, it would probably be destroyed instantly.

The main body and the Wood clone exchanged glances and nodded. They both exerted force under their feet and suddenly charged at Karasuba.

Unlike the Lightning clone, the Wood clone had a very strong body, almost on par with the main body. It could not only use wood-based abilities but was also very suitable for close combat.

A bloodthirsty smile appeared on Karasuba's face. Although there were two opponents, she did not retreat but instead charged forward with her knife raised.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The main body clashed with Karasuba, exchanging blows in a lively battle. The Wood clone assisted by sneaking in punches and manipulating vines to create various troubles for Karasuba.

Meanwhile, the Lightning clone was also busy, occasionally zapping Karasuba, but the effect was minimal. Sora began to suspect that Karasuba's body was insulated; why was it that every time she was shocked, she not only didn't fall but seemed to get more energized?

However, at this moment, Sora couldn't think too much. Even if it was ineffective, he had to keep zapping. Damn it, if she really pissed him off, he would zap her until the end of time! Zap her until the sun and moon lose their light! Zap her until the seas dry up and the stones rot!!!

Although it was three against one, the tactics were indeed a bit shameless, but Karasuba didn't care at all. What she needed was combat; no matter the method or means, she just needed to fight!

As long as there was fighting, her soul could be satisfied! As for everything else, she couldn't care less.

"Hahaha, is this your power? So weak! So weak!! So weak!!!" As the swords clashed, Karasuba didn't forget to mock Sora.

Sora rolled his eyes, too lazy to respond. He thought to himself that he no longer had the power of the divine artifact; everything he had was self-trained. What more did she want?

However, he still felt quite angry. Although he was weaker than her now, was it really necessary to be so arrogant? Hmph, just wait until I knock you down; let's see how I deal with you!

Although he was determined, Sora didn't dare to be careless. If it weren't for the Wood clone and the Lightning clone assisting him, he would have been knocked down long ago.

Clang! Boom!

Another collision occurred, and Sora quickly used the rebound force to distance himself from Karasuba. The Wood clone and the Lightning clone also seemed to receive a signal and moved away.

Although they were fighting fiercely, Karasuba still wouldn't let her guard down. Suddenly, she felt an overwhelming sense of danger.

Looking up, even Karasuba couldn't help but show a hint of horror. She saw that thousands of water orbs had gathered in the sky, densely packed as if covering the entire sky, and they were rushing down like cannon fire with incredible speed!

This was Sora's ultimate move, the super-large Water Arrow, which condensed thousands of water bullets, covering an area of hundreds of meters. Even if Karasuba was fast, there was no way she could dodge!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The scene was extraordinarily exaggerated; each water bullet was as powerful as a cannonball. Wherever they fell, they exploded, and in no time, everything within the attack range was reduced to ruins.

Moreover, just as Sora had anticipated, Karasuba could not escape either; her figure dissipated in the dust…
