Chapter 23: Chapter 113

After returning to his apartment, Aizawa felt like he could collapse at any given moment. In the dim light he could manage to see the thin cord used to turn on the light.

He reached up and pulled it, filling the room with a light that took his eyes a few moments to adjust to. After rubbing them for a few moments he entered the bathroom and splashed his face with hot water until he regained some feeling in his facial muscles.

The hangover he was now experiencing was mild, but something inside him told him he needed to sit down. He suddenly left the bathroom and sat down on the armchair near his bed.

He could feel his head pounding as if someone had repeatedly smashed a brick over it, and he felt another strange sensation fill his entire body, a strange feeling of overwhelming lust.

The images of Olive started to resonate in his mind as he began to sweat as if it was 90 degrees outside. He could feel his sudden arousal growing as his breath grew heavier.

This feeling wasn't the usual feeling of stimulation one could feel when seeing someone they liked to a certain extent, but this feeling stemmed deeper, almost to an uncomfortable level.

His entire body grew hot as if he was submerged in boiling water. So he suddenly tore off his shirt, revealing his now shiny, toned features. Even with the open window giving him a fresh and frigid breeze, this overwhelming feeling of heat was concerning to him.

His eyes widened slightly as a copious amount of blush filled his face, an amount that was definitely unwelcome. This feeling of lust and desire wasn't one he'd ever felt in his life. It wasn't one he welcomed either.

His vision started to grow hazy as he stood up and approached the bathroom, his ears ringing an unbearable amount. He looked himself in the mirror, only to see his face contorted with pain and a sense of distortion in an incurable manor.

He wasn't in pain, but he surely wasn't comfortable either. Could this be his mind playing tricks on him? The past few days he also had experiences around him of people; including myself, having visions of this "mad king," but this was unlike any of that.

He looked down at his body, only to see the sight of his veins turning an illusory purple hue. This symptom was similar to the ones I had previously experienced after drinking the Order 9 Apocalypse potion on accident.

He didn't have any of that "control serum" that I used to drink though, and he was completely oblivious if he'd lose control in this sudden state. The room around him began to spin an abnormal amount, and Aizawa had the urge to suddenly throw up.

He began to question his access to a divine protection like the one I'd gained after my mental fight with "Isaiah Wall's void state projection, but due to the fact that he didn't have a reason to get one was a factor to why he could be feeling this strange way.

His breathing grew heavier as the room began to drip down as if it was melting to the ground like a candle. His eyes were clamped shut, and his breathing was the only thing he could hear over his ringing ears and pounding head.

He could feel the arousal growing in a particular spot on his body, one that made him blush to the point where he felt like it could burn a hole in his face.

He had no choice. He immediately pulled down his pants, allowing his erect member to fling out. He wrapped his hand around his now hardened shaft.

After he finished his load the symptoms around him disappeared instantly. The illusory purple cracks on his body vanished, and his ears and head returned to normal.

He looked around the bathroom in a daze and in confusion, and his eyes widened when he saw an empty bottle on the counter. The bottle was still leaking a tiny amount of purple liquid.

What was that liquid? Aizawa was confused as he stood up and approached the bottle. His reflection in the mirror had returned to normal. He picked up the bottle and observed it carefully, hoping to get any clues from what had previously happened to him and his immersive state of arousal.

Was this similar to the potion that I had consumed? Could this mean that Aizawa officially had access to supernatural abilities by some strange awakening ritual? He didn't have any time to answer those questions, as his tiredness eventually caught up to him.

He left the bathroom and collapsed onto the bed, succumbing to a deep slumber, one he probably hadn't experienced in weeks.

...

I observed the almost hairless doll with a deep sense of caution. This ritual was one I was blatantly unaware on how to proceed with. But I have encountered a result of it before with the wooden skeleton that Raymond had previously controlled under the Isaiah Walls alias.

If Raymond's utilization of the Depravity authority to such an extent from afar was enough to make a resurrected avatar of his creation possess lifelike characteristics, perhaps it wasn't that hard for me to do the same regardless of the given distance!

In my divine throne under the control of my own void state, I could possibly harness its power to temporarily divine De-Taylel's blood infused avatar "he" used in "his" ritual to unlock his Divine Kingdom from an avatar "he" possessed.

If that blood avatar was "his" key to unlocking "his" Divine Kingdom, possibly I could rearrange my intent and instead bind my Order 8 Apocalypse authority and Order 8 characteristics under my own avatar of my creation.

Though, it could be a possibility that summoning such a conceptual object rather than a living being was more difficult. Though I didn't have trouble envisioning the 4 armed statue that Aaron had previously used in communicating with Ransom's deformed flesh state.

If I was able to rewrite its purpose and make it my own, what trouble could I have on envisioning a conceptual framework?

I began to close my eyes and visualize De-Taylel's blood avatar that previously was "his" shadow. Suddenly a terrifying and dense aura filled the throne room.

I opened my eyes and looked before me, only to see that my own shadow had been ripped from my body. My shadow melted and turned into crimson blood before rising and taking a shape identical to mine.

The blood infused shadow grew a pair of black wings as it approached the doll and picked it up. Suddenly, its entire body began to passively contract, looking like it might explode at any given moment.

The doll began to vibrate as it glowed an illusory black and red aura. Suddenly, the previously fabric doll hardened and began to rise and expand.

The rounded head took the shape of a skull, and its limbs began to grow more bone-like. After the wooden skeleton had fully formed, layers of skin, blood, bone tissue and intestines began to grow in.

Eventually it grew clothes identical to mine. It was a "puppet" I had now created which dawned identical features to me. It's face was blank as if he was having an insane mental struggle, and his limpid brown eyes which matched mine had no feeling inside of them.

This avatar lacked one thing; humanity!

I approached the doll, before resting my hand on its head. I didn't exactly know how to transfer emotions to an avatar of mine. What if it has emotions, but it's simply getting used to the intangible feeling of life and creation? I pondered this for a moment before the "puppet" suddenly looked towards me.

It didn't say anything, its eyes that had now been filled with an unreadable emotion were locked on me. It suddenly stood up and approached me, the black wings that I didn't have ruffled on its back.

"Why?..." it asked. I was puzzled by the question. Why could this avatar possibly be asking me why?

"I don't know what you mean..." I said with a tiny amount of worry, taking a few cautious steps back. The avater's expression suddenly changed as his eyes widened.

"Why give me...humanity!" He suddenly plucked a feather from his back and brought it to his neck. Before I could stop him, the avatar; with one quick motion, slit its throat.

I watched in shock as blood poured out from the avatar's neck, leaking down its skin and into the carpeted floor. I had no idea why my avatar would suddenly kill itself after giving it human qualities...but it also made me begin to question where exactly I was headed.

What is humanity? What is the difference between an Apocalypse and a mortal? Why am I ultimately here to begin with?

The avatar suddenly crumbled into a heap of flesh and blood, before retaking the form of my once dissipated shadow...
