Chapter 46
Chapter 46: I Hope You Won’t Blame Me When You Learn the Truth:
“Get in the car. It’s too chaotic out here, and as your brother, it’s only right that I personally take you home, isn’t it?”
With the situation resolved, Qi Lin motioned for Wang Siling to get in.
His words sounded dignified, but Wang Siling knew exactly what he was planning. Her face flushed, and she felt a mix of embarrassment and nervousness.
“Brother Qi Lin, can you take my classmates and Yu Chen with us too?”
She looked at him expectantly, hoping that if everyone went together, Qi Lin wouldn’t be able to do anything to her.
But Qi Lin only found it amusing.
“I may be rich, but I’m not running a charity. They have nothing to do with me, so why should I take them?”
“Get in the car before I lose my patience.”
His expression darkened.
Every time Wang Siling rode in Qi Lin’s car, Yu Chen would get an uneasy feeling, as if something bad was going to happen.
Now that the thugs had let him go, he struggled to his feet, panic in his voice.
“Siling, where are you? Don’t get in that bastard’s car! He’s up to no good!”
Qi Lin looked at Wang Siling’s worried expression and spoke calmly.
“His eyes were burned by quicklime. He needs to get to the hospital immediately to have them washed, or he might go blind.”
Hearing that Yu Chen might go blind, Wang Siling panicked again.
She pleaded with Qi Lin, her voice trembling.
“Brother Qi Lin, please take Yu Chen to the hospital.”
Qi Lin smirked and leaned in to whisper something in her ear.
Wang Siling’s ears turned bright red. A deep sense of shame washed over her.
But with Yu Chen’s sight at stake, she had no choice. She hesitated for only a moment before nodding obediently.
Seeing her comply, Qi Lin sighed dramatically.
“Ah, I’m just too kind-hearted. We go to the same school, after all. Fine, I’ll take Yu Chen as an act of goodwill.”
If Yu Chen had been reckless before, now that he heard the risk of blindness, he fell completely silent.
Another reason he didn’t speak up was his fear that Qi Lin might do something to Wang Siling.
Since he couldn’t see anything, he felt that staying with them was the only way to ensure her safety.
Little did he know… Qi Lin’s boldness was beyond his imagination.
“Xiaoxiao, you girls take the bus back. Brother Qi Lin and I will take Yu Chen to the hospital.”
Wang Siling told her classmates before helping Yu Chen toward the car.
But Qi Lin grabbed her hand and yanked Yu Chen by the collar, shoving him roughly into the back seat.
Then, he gestured for Wang Siling to sit in the front.
Faced with the overwhelming presence of this “devil,” her eyes turned red, and she bit her lip. But in the end, she obeyed.
Inside the car, the atmosphere was tense.
Perhaps due to his injuries, Yu Chen dozed off mid-trip.
Seeing the perfect opportunity, Qi Lin pointed at his lips and gave Wang Siling a mischievous smile.
Her face burned even hotter. She didn’t dare look at him.
Earlier, Qi Lin had only agreed to take Yu Chen because Wang Siling had promised him something.
That promise was—she would kiss him voluntarily in the car.
Initially, Qi Lin had only meant to tease her, taking advantage of Yu Chen’s temporary blindness to shake her pride.
But now, Yu Chen had actually fallen asleep, making it feel much less satisfying.
As he drove one-handed, Qi Lin used his other hand to lift Wang Siling’s delicate chin.
Her eyelashes trembled as their lips met.
Meanwhile, in the back seat, Yu Chen remained completely unaware that his future girlfriend was paying off his debt in the most humiliating way.
A thin, shimmering thread of saliva glistened in the sunlight before Wang Siling quickly wiped it away, her face flushed.
Originally, Qi Lin had planned to stop for a drink, but now, he felt oddly refreshed.
“How do you plan on paying back that 10,000 yuan?”
“With yourself, or in 100 installments?”
Qi Lin asked casually.
Poor Wang Siling had no idea that this entire situation had been orchestrated by him.
In reality, he had spent only 200 yuan to trick her into owing him a debt of 10,000 yuan.
She knew exactly what he meant by “paying with herself.”
That was her most precious thing—something she would never give to Qi Lin.
Shaking her head frantically, she mumbled weakly,
“I-I’ll pay it off the same way as before…”
Qi Lin chuckled.
“Fine. But since this is your second time in debt, the interest rate has increased. From now on, you have to be the one to initiate the kisses.”
“That’s not fair! H-how can you just raise the price like that?”
Her face turned red again.
If she kissed him too many times, she was afraid she’d start getting used to it… afraid she’d turn into a bad girl.
“My money, my rules. I can raise the price whenever I want. If you don’t like it, I can throw Yu Chen out of the car right now.”
Qi Lin glanced at the back seat, where Yu Chen was still unconscious.
Hearing that, Wang Siling panicked.
She turned and looked at Yu Chen with sorrow in her eyes.
“Yu Chen… everything I’m doing is for you. I just hope that when you learn the truth, you won’t blame me.”
She closed her eyes for a moment, as if mourning.
When she opened them again, she blushed and nodded softly.
“Just… don’t throw him out. I-I’ll do it…”
