Chapter 5
Chapter 005: Damn, This Is a Bit Awkward!:
The outcome was decided with one punch!
Han Yi stood proudly in place, exuding a terrifying aura like that of an ancient demon god.
On the other hand, Zhao Wenjie knelt on one knee in embarrassment, his right hand trembling slightly, with his bones nearly shattered.
If he hadn’t dodged quickly, he would have been dead.
“The first two punches were just a warm-up!” Han Yi twisted his neck, producing a cracking sound from his bones, and sneered, “The third punch is coming. Are you ready?”
“This is impossible! How can you know Baji Quan? How can you be so strong?” Zhao Wenjie roared in disbelief.
Han Yi sneered. “I don’t have time to explain to you! I told you, you couldn’t withstand three punches, loser!”
“You!”
Zhao Wenjie’s face turned pale, feeling utterly humiliated.
He was supposed to be the protagonist, admired by countless people.
How could someone be defeating him in front of so many people?
He wanted to find a hole to crawl into out of sheer embarrassment.
“Damn, this is a bit awkward!”
“More than awkward! Brother Jie is probably spitting blood from anger. What if he gets killed?”
“Brother Jie, let’s retreat. This guy isn’t human! One punch from him could kill you!”
Concerned viewers commented anxiously.
“Hmph!” Zhao Wenjie trembled with rage, unsure of how to save face.
Just then, an elderly voice called out from afar, “Stop!”
“Huh?”
Everyone turned to see a bodyguard pushing an old man in a wheelchair slowly approaching.
Despite his age, he looked energetic, dressed in traditional Chinese attire, with sharp eyes exuding authority.
He was the patriarch of the Han family, Han Zhengnan!
The Han family’s prosperity was all due to him.
He held the highest authority in the family, and all the younger generations revered his words. He was also the one who doted on Han Yi the most!
“Grandpa, why are you here?” Han Yi stepped back respectfully and naturally took over pushing the wheelchair from the bodyguard.
“When did you become so formidable?” Han Zhengnan chuckled. “Guests are guests. This is my old friend’s grandson. You mustn’t be rude!”
“Father, but he wants to marry Yushi!” Han Jian protested. “You were too casual back then. How could you agree to something like this?”
“What? Do you have a problem?” Han Zhengnan’s displeased snort silenced Han Jian immediately.
The chairman of the Han Group didn’t dare make a sound in front of the old man.
“Get up, Wenjie!” Han Zhengnan said kindly. “Don’t mind Xiao Yi. Come inside and sit. Let’s have a good talk. I haven’t seen your grandfather in years. I didn’t expect his grandson to have grown so much!”
“Thank you, Elder Han!” Zhao Wenjie nodded and breathed a sigh of relief.
Han Zhengnan’s arrival had at least reduced some of his embarrassment.
“Don’t just stand there. Come in and sit!” Han Zhengnan urged with a smile.
Everyone naturally stopped causing a scene and entered the hall.
The luxurious hall amazed the live stream viewers once again.
After the servants brought tea, the atmosphere began to relax.
However, Zhao Wenjie squinted and surveyed his surroundings, seeming to sense something off.
“Wenjie, have some tea!” Han Zhengnan warmly invited.
“Thank you, Elder Han!” Zhao Wenjie quickly regained his composure, adopting a mysterious demeanor. He took the tea and drank, glancing at Han Yi with a sneer.
“Tch!”
Han Yi raised an eyebrow in disdain, and observed all of Zhao Wenjie’s reactions.
Following the clichéd plot of urban novels, after showing off at the door, Zhao Wenjie would probably continue inside, likely claiming there were ghosts to show off his system and status.
“Such cliché and nonsense! I wrote this kind of garbage when I was a failed writer until I got sick of it. If you try that, I’ll crush you!” Han Yi muttered with a cold smile.
“Xiao Yi, what are you saying?” Han Zhengnan asked curiously.
“Oh, nothing!” Han Yi brushed it off casually. “Grandpa, I just think we shouldn’t be so polite. Brother Wenjie is one of us. Why be so formal?”
Han Zhengnan nodded approvingly, “Right, right! We’re all family here. No need for formality. Xiao Yi is right!”
“Family?” Zhao Wenjie seethed, feeling no goodwill toward Han Yi after being beaten so severely by him earlier.
Han Yi said with a smile, “Brother Wenjie! It’s said that friends are made through fighting. Stay for a meal today, and I’ll apologize properly. As for that arranged marriage, let’s forget about it. It was just a joke made by our drunk elders.”
“What? Are you going back on your word?” Zhao Wenjie asked angrily. “Elder Han, do you agree with this? If so, what’s the difference between your words and farting?”
“This…” Han Zhengnan looked slightly embarrassed. “I was young and foolish, boasting while drunk. This is indeed difficult now. Yushi is a person, not a commodity. I can’t force her to marry you.”
Han Yushi spoke calmly. “Mr. Zhao! I have no plans to marry at the moment. Please respect that.”
“Fine!” Zhao Wenjie stood up with a sneer. “Since that’s the case, I’ll not stay here and embarrass myself. I was planning to help the Han family, but it seems unnecessary!”
“What do you mean?” Han Yushi frowned.
Zhao Wenjie sneered, “Nothing! The Han family’s affairs are none of my business. Handle your ghost problem yourselves.”
“Ghosts?” Everyone was shocked.
“Pfft! Hahaha!”
Han Yi spat out his tea, laughing uncontrollably. “Oh my god, you’re really pulling this trick? Hahaha! You’re killing me with laughter!”
