Chapter 19: Ch 19
Looking at the quest window, which had suddenly popped up, Arthur was first surprised. But after reading the content of the quest, he could only curse his luck.
---
**Quest:**
*Survive: The unknown entity has discovered that you are the current avatar of Blankspace in this era and is coming for you while you're still vulnerable. The only thing you can do is survive.*
**Reward:**
- Sun and Moon Scripture (Meditation) Rank (0)
- All stats: +10
**Failure:**
- Your soul will be erased from reality, ensuring the secret of Blankspace remains hidden.
---
Arthur sighed, lying back on the bed, his eyes fixed on the quest window. Dark clouds now twisted in ominous spirals around Mount Meru, their turbulent mass blotting out the stars. Lightning flickered in the distance, though no thunder followed. Just silence, thick and oppressive.
Restless, he turned over, feeling the eerie energy in the air clinging to his skin like a second layer. In the next bed, his brother Alexander snored softly, deeply asleep. But Arthur couldn't bring himself to close his eyes.
The quiet wasn't natural. It pressed against him, unnerving.
---
**Meanwhile, elsewhere…**
"Blood Lady, you should prepare well. Once you bring back Void's avatar from the middle world, our master will ascend to immortality. No god, demon, or human in the three realms will stand against us." The undead general, Kartos, addressed the beautiful woman emerging from a pool of blood.
"I am aware, Kartos," she replied coldly. "This time, I won't fail the Lord."
She vanished without a trace.
Kartos grinned. "We'll see about that," he muttered.
---
In the middle world, the Blood Lady appeared in the sky. Suddenly, massive, dragon-shaped golden chains formed around her, wrapping her in a magical bind.
"Hmph, the petty restrictions of the middle world," she sneered, flicking her wrist. The chains disintegrated into the air.
"Now, let's kidnap the avatar."
She transformed, her features softening, though she remained strikingly beautiful by human standards. "I made mistakes before, but this time, I'll proceed carefully."
---
Back in his room, Arthur was preparing for the incoming threat. He pulled up his updated status window, reflecting the growth of the past three years.

Looking at his vastly improved stats, Arthur felt a brief sense of satisfaction. He had earned this progress through years of small quests—keeping healthy, helping his mother, playing with his big brother, and similar tasks.
Though each quest only increased his stats by 0.001 per completion, the consistency had paid off.
On the outside, he might still appear like a frail child, but inwardly, he could compare his body to an experienced athlete.
His intelligence had grown the most, skyrocketing by 12 points, thanks to the meditation he had diligently practiced since his birth. The results were tangible.
Yet Arthur knew that even with these increased stats, they wouldn't be enough to stop the threat that was rapidly approaching. He needed more—something beyond what he had.
His powers—telekinesis and inventory—had advanced to levels 3 and 2, respectively.
But one aspect remained a mystery: soul force. His telekinesis skill referenced it, yet he had never fully explored it.
While in Blankspace, he had attempted to tap into soul force, but due to some restrictions which prevented him from fully grasping the soul force.
Now, in the material world, he had the opportunity. However, time was running out.
previously he had planned to first learn about the soul force from this world knowledge
but,
No matter how tempting it was to learn more about soul force from this world knowledge, he couldn't afford the luxury. The danger was approaching his way,
and his window to prepare for danger was narrowing.
He glanced outside to the courtyard, where a hen clucked lazily, oblivious to the storm brewing both in the skies and within Arthur's mind. Perfect for an experiment, he thought. There was no better time to push the limits of his telekinesis—and, if successful, his control over soul force.
Arthur focused, stretching his awareness toward the hen. The subtle energy around it stirred as his mind grasped at the invisible threads of soul force that he had yet to master.
The experiment began.
"Telekinesis"
Arthur muttered thinking of using the "soul force" area of telekinesis
He could feel the threads of energy—soul force—flickering just out of reach, like trying to grasp water through his fingers. He had to focus and stretch his mind beyond the physical boundaries of his body.
With his telekinesis, he could already control objects, but soul force was something deeper, something connected to life itself
The hen clucked softly, pecking at the ground, unaware of what was about to happen. Arthur reached out mentally, feeling the space between him and Hen narrow.
He could sense the faint pulse of the hen's life force, a gentle rhythm that mirrored the quiet beating of its heart.
Slowly, he extended his telekinetic ability, but this time with a different intent.
Instead of lifting the hen physically, he sought to connect to its soul force, the essence that animated its body. His mind pressed against the boundary of its life energy.
For a moment, it resisted, like trying to push through thick fog. Then, with a sudden snap, he broke through.
