The commotion in the gallery over Chae-young’s cosplay was short-lived, as the gallery’s reactions began to taper off once the broadcast officially commenced.
Certainly, the cosplay was enjoyable, but the essence of the broadcast that users had been waiting for wasn’t about cosplay.
After the voice actors participating in the broadcast greeted everyone under the guidance of the MC Kenzo, the first part of the broadcast officially began.
The first topic discussed was an explanation of the in-game system.
“By the way, I heard that Reverse Arcadia is a mix of tower defense and character collection RPG elements. Director Jihojin, could you give us a brief introduction?”
In response to Kenzo’s question, Ho-jin nodded lightly and picked up the microphone.
“Reverse Arcadia can be seen as a tower defense genre game where you collect characters and organize your own combinations to defend against waves of enemies.”
“Oh, you mentioned organizing combinations. Does that mean specific characters can combine to create synergies?”
Kenzo’s question hit the nail on the head regarding the users’ curiosity, including Jae-hyun’s.
“Yes, that’s correct. If you look at the screen behind me, you’ll see we have a total of eight classes. The core of Reverse Arcadia gameplay lies in combining these classes to create the best synergies.”
“By the way, you mentioned it’s a character collection RPG. Is there a character growth element involved?”
“Absolutely. Like typical tower defense games, Reverse Arcadia includes character growth elements.”
“Then, if this isn’t too sensitive a question—Director, is it correct to assume that, like in Girls’ Memorial, the growth system will rely on in-game goods?”
Jae-hyun was impressed by Kenzo’s rather sharp question.
This was as pertinent an issue as in-game content, especially with regard to monetization systems that users were curious about.
Ho-jin responded with a smiling expression.
“In-game goods contributing to character growth—yes, that’s right. And I can confidently say that there are no paid goods involved in character growth.”
“Wow… This is something users will be thrilled to hear. Are you sure there won’t be any changes to this statement later?”
“Haha… Absolutely not. That would be deceiving our users. However…”
“However?”
“Commanders, once you start the game, you’ll understand why I was smiling.”

After the first part of the broadcast concluded and the break began, Jae-hyun started reflecting on Ho-jin’s words while leaning back in his chair.
“Character growth doesn’t involve paid goods?”
If other directors besides Ho-jin had said this, Jae-hyun wouldn’t have believed them either.
Because there had been too many instances where such statements ended up being betrayed.
But given that the speaker was Director Jihojin, it carried a different weight.
Despite the major incident at the game’s launch that could have turned things upside down, there was an authenticity in how he personally apologized to the users that set him apart from other directors.
It didn’t seem like someone who was genuinely passionate about the game they created would lie about something like this.

As the break concluded, the second part of the broadcast began, accompanied by the main OST.
It looked like the second part was set up more like a talk show, with a simpler interface appearing on Jae-hyun’s screen compared to the first part.
A wide sofa that could seat five people had the MC and two directors sitting on it.
On the table in front of the sofa were various Reverse Arcadia goods, along with two spinning roulette wheels.
“Did everyone take a pleasant rest? Alright, let’s begin the second part of the Reverse Arcadia Opening Memorial Special Broadcast!”
As Kenjo smoothly bowed and the directors responded with applause, introducing the directors wrapped up, and the talk show commenced.
The theme of the talk show was anecdotes from the development process.
Given the topic, it could have easily become unengaging, but Ho-jin and Chae-young’s constant banter made the show compelling, causing the allocated two hours to fly by.
“Listening to your engrossing talk show, I didn’t even notice the two hours pass! Thank you both for your hard work!”
The directors who had initially been jabbing at each other with their banter quickly reverted to their earlier demeanor as the MC wrapped up.
Watching this on screen, Jae-hyun thought to himself:
“Those two have surprising on-air chemistry…”
“Alright, before we wrap up part two… it’s time for what the commanders have been eagerly awaiting: the reward roulette! Are you all ready?”
Jae-hyun, who had been focused on freelance work while listening to the directors’ talk, started paying attention to the monitor when Kenjo spoke, since from here on out this was the main event.
“So, I’ll hand over the explanation of the reward roulette to the General Director. Director, take it away.”
After taking the microphone from Kenjo, Ho-jin cleared his throat and began.
“The rules are really simple. The roulette on the left selects the type of reward. If you look, it’s filled with pictures that look like various items.”
Ho-jin pointed to the left roulette, which was covered with icon images resembling items.
“And the roulette on the right determines the amount of rewards you’ll get.”
On the right was a roulette with numbers from x1 to x10, and one slot marked “ALL.”
“Director, what does the ‘ALL’ indicate on this roulette?”
“In the unlikely event the roulette hits ‘ALL’ today, we plan to give all commanders the rewards listed on the left roulette.”
“Wow, all these rewards? Giving away so much—what will you have left?”
“All we’ll have left is you, the commanders. So, you don’t need to worry about us.”
Watching this broadcast, Jae-hyun couldn’t help but be impressed by Ho-jin’s words.
“Even during the talk show, I thought he spoke well, but this is a total pro.”
“So, it seems we’re all ready. Who’s going to spin the wheels? Let’s have Director Han Chae-young spin the right roulette, and MC Kenjo take the left one.”
“Alright. Director Han, are you ready?”
“Yes, I’m ready.”
“Then I’ll spin first!”
As Kenjo finished speaking, the roulette started spinning.
The pictures on the roulette whirled at such a speed they were barely identifiable before coming to a slow stop.
The winning reward was…
“Oh, a genetic mutation sample. Could you explain what this reward is?”
“It’s a material used for character limit breaks. To be honest, among the roulette rewards, it’s one of the least valuable. A bit disappointing, isn’t it?”
Kenjo expressed his regret as Ho-jin explained.
Watching this exchange, Jae-hyun also couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

“So, let’s move on to Director Han…”
“A, yes. I’ll spin right away.”
The roulette spun again, this time a bit slower than when Kenjo had spun it, but still quite brisk.

“All hit, right? Congratulations, commanders.”
Ho-jin’s unexpected move froze Kenjo and Chae-young.
After regaining his composure first, Kenjo urgently asked Ho-jin.
“W-wait a moment. General Director, are you sure this is allowed?”
“What do you mean?”
“Isn’t it clearly x2…?”
“Come on, you must’ve misread it. It definitely landed on ‘ALL.’ Right, Director Han?”
After pondering it for a moment, Chae-young seemed to understand Ho-jin’s intention and smirked as she responded.
“It was definitely ‘ALL.’”
Kenjo looked somewhat confused as he opened and closed his mouth, but he ultimately resigned himself to the situation, nodding his head.
“Let’s sincerely congratulate the commanders on winning ‘ALL!’ So, Director, could you please explain the items?”
