Chapter 22: Chapter 14
A handsome man with stern and noble features walked through the bustling streets of the capital.
Naturally, he attracted the attention of many.
Who was this beautiful and handsome gentleman? Surely, he must be a nobleman of high birth.
However, the reality was quite different.
…
The Dark Hero Armor was a Construct. Inside the Mercenary NPC's armor, there was nothing. It was a magical being with that form and nothing more.
However... Now, thanks to the experiments of the Supreme Lady, Dont-Say-My-Name, it had a 'body'. Well, a superficial one.
What was its objective? In short, to waste money.
To buy all the scrolls and magical items not originating from Yggdrasil that it could and return.
Who gave it that order to abandon the absolute order to stay with 'Lady Nyx'? Lady Nyx herself, or rather, the 'true' Lady Nyx. Because the first one was nothing but a double, a Doppelgänger working to act as the Supreme.
Right now, the Dark Hero Armor was returning from its purchase of scrolls, and it was already dusk.
It took its time because as an NPC Mercenary, without a real complex mind, it really struggled to identify what was an item from Yggdrasil and what was not. After all, it was just a bodyguard practically, not an expert in that. So the Shadow Demons had to help him quite a bit.
He himself was an experiment. To see how something without a complex mind could develop. He didn't know what kind of notes his summoner had about it, but he must admit that, even if he couldn't really, he felt an equivalent to nervousness for something that cannot feel emotions.
The mind of the Dark Hero Armor, with the renaming of Germán, since his summoner apparently forgot his previous name and changed it without much trouble, was simple, and he was quite tempted to follow the exact steps he took to return to the mansion that the 'false' Lady Nyx rented.
However, in a calculation, he understood that doing so would be a waste of time.
So now... He was lost among alleys.
He had to ask the Shadow Demons accompanying him to guide him.
And here he was now.
In front of a sack of cloth thrown in front of what seemed like a house.
His 'face' remained static. He was not familiar with having a face, so even then, it would be difficult for him to move it.
He just looked through the eyeholes with his original vision, looking at the sack.
He could see something coming out slightly.
Curiosity in a certain sense didn't bother him. He was more interested in following the Shadow Demons' instructions and ignoring the bag.
But a slight movement of the sack caught his attention.
He was a bodyguard, a Construct. But still, he was a hero. It was in his name. Sure, he came from a dark hero, but a hero nonetheless, someone who helps the needy without seeking anything in return, therefore, it was in his nature to be generous.
He crouched in front of the bag and opened it.
Without saying a word, he looked at what was a heap of bruised and purple flesh.
No, it wasn't a heap of flesh. It was a human. One really beaten up.
It surprised him that she was alive, if you could say he was capable of being surprised.
The damage he was seeing... It was a complete facial disfigurement.
The human's surely broken hand, unable to easily distinguish the gender, stretched out with the last remnants of strength they had, as if wanting to ask for help.
And German said nothing. He couldn't anyway.
Nor could he really do anything. He didn't have healing abilities. Not even scrolls, because the Shadow Demons told him to discard the options of healing consumables among his purchases.
It was a pity, but he couldn't help her.
The only thing he could grant to the human...
*Crack*
It was a quick and painless death.
He wasn't going to leave her there either. It would be dishonorable and an insult to this human.
So he grabbed the sack and carried it like a princess. Carefully.
He would give her a proper burial according to what he believed.
The Shadow Demons told him that his summoner wouldn't like the surprise, but he didn't understand.
... Nor did he listen to the warning and annoyance shouts of a man who came out through the door of that 'house'.
…
Wonderful...
Those were Dont's thoughts as she put on a wide, fake smile, trembling as she read the Black Abyss report.
"... Fuck... So we'll have to change the plans a bit..." Dont sighed.
After all, the presence of Blue Rose in the capital was annoying and somewhat inconvenient.
Could she kill them? Of course. With a clean shot, she could end half the city, and it wouldn't even be her biggest explosive potential.
But that would delay the plans even further...
Upon further thought, it might as well lead to better developments for such plans. Although it was a very murky and doubtful thought, so the Devil in her mind pushed it aside.
She looked to the side, and listened attentively to the whisper in her ear, at a tone so low that it didn't even stir the slightest dust, but still clear as water.
"Mm... So Juan is back." Was his name Juan? She shook off the thought, of course it was Antonio. "Well~ Let's see what Sergio brought me~"
She walked towards where the entrance should be, ready to see the Dark Hero Armor with its 'human body' and a bunch of unique magical items from this world.
… Only to see a sack too big to really be a bunch of magical items.
"And that?"
There was no response. Of course, there wouldn't be. Domingo couldn't speak.
The Dark Hero Armor then opened the sack a little, causing Dont to grimace in disgust.
"What are you? A cat bringing a dead cockroach to my bed? Hm... I heard from Michi that they could do that... Throw that trash out in the street or whatever." She waved his hand as if to shoo it away.
The Dark Hero Armor looked at the sack, and then at Dont.
The Demon Queen frowned at the NPC Mercenary's apparent 'indecision', but... Considering his 'lore'... She sighed.
"... Do you want to give her an honorable burial or something?" Dont said almost as if she didn't believe it... Receiving a nod from the Construct. "Tch. You're buried and blessed, and blah blah, now bury her in the yard or whatever." She said after making the sign of a cross over the sack, then turned around and headed to another room.
If there was anything that disgusted Dont... It was sick people like the human inside that sack.
She didn't have a problem with illnesses in general, but it reminded her of Earth.
A place where it was natural to see sick and mutated people on the street, both dead and begging.
It was unpleasant, and it brought back bad memories.
She didn't even want to know what Marco was doing with that bag, or what he was going to do with it. As long as he took it out of the mansion, she was satisfied.
Anyway, she went over the plan. Again and again.
Certainly, she had to admit that Black Abyss's influence on the plan helped a lot. After revealing what he had Achernar do and discussing it, they now had a good development for the plan even with the variable of Blue Rose.
Now she felt very stupid for not discussing it with him and such from the beginning...
Well, she had time, and there were still several steps to take for the 'end'.
She stopped her retreat, thinking she could use the soul of the thing Julian brought to summon a Demon, but dismissed it. She had another plan in mind for her.
…
At the entrance to the great capital city of the Kingdom of Re-Estize, E-Rantel, stood the renowned Adamantite-class Adventurer, Titania, alongside her equally ranked companion Elise.
They had forged a formidable reputation, not only by defeating significant creatures of considerable power, but also in the eyes of other people, the undeniable power of both was widely acknowledged.
However... Much was said about the unparalleled beauty of Elise, the mage/sorceress of the group, but Titania's beauty was seldom mentioned. After all, her face was usually concealed by a black hood that she always wore, but this was not the case today.
As she waited in line, those who had heard of their arrival in E-Rantel could recognize her simply by the extreme beauty she possessed, matching and perhaps surpassing her companion.
She no longer wore the hood, especially since there had been much talk of the damage her equipment had sustained in their last battle, which incidentally catapulted their fame, mainly because a guild leader had witnessed it all, convincing everyone else to promote Titania to Adamantite rank, and that, of course, included Elise.
Still, Titania, whose real name was Black Abyss•White Flower, felt somewhat withdrawn seeing so many people looking at her...
"Do I have something on my face...?" She wondered aloud, clearly not accustomed to being the center of attention for so many people... However, it wasn't as if it was incorrect. Lately, she had been quite aware of how she shone amidst the darkness. Not in the literal sense.
"They're probably just admiring your beauty, Titania." Alicia, the NPC accompanying Black Abyss, said with a tone of distress and sadness.
"Hm~ Yes, it seems appropriate... Although, anyway... I'm not sure if I feel very comfortable with all this... Even though I asked D-Nyx for a hood..." She sighed, for while it was inevitable for them to admire the Sun, it didn't mean that the 'Sun' wanted to be looked at...
{A few hours ago…}
"This..." Black Abyss looked at her body, trying on the clothes Dont had given her, and she had been quite insistent on seeing how they looked on her. There stood the Queen of Titania, letting out almost fangirl squeals.
"Wah~! You look beautiful~! I told you it was a good idea~!" Dont said, inspecting Black Abyss from every possible angle, as she stood in front of a mirror.
The two maids in charge of the duo of Players had to silently apologize as they cleaned the blood coming out of their noses and tried not to look and look at the same time with as much respect as possible.
"B-But... Was the lingerie necessary...? I feel almost like I'm not wearing anything underneath..." Black Abyss said, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Fufu~ That's the best part~!" Dont said cheerfully, giving Black Abyss a playful tap.
Although, comparatively, the low percentage of force that Dont used wasn't enough to move Black Abyss at all, she didn't even feel the pain or the damage... Still, she did feel the embarrassment of being, well, smacked down there.
"A-Anyway, doesn't this have a hood or something? M-My face attracts a lot of attention when I'm incognito..." Black Abyss said, looking at herself in the mirror, and even though she was very beautiful, much more than anyone on Earth, she still felt embarrassed to be the center of attention.
"Oh~? Are you embarrassed to show your face to the world~? But you're a beauty~ More like a Sun~" The Queen of Titania chuckled, making Black Abyss look at herself in the mirror.
"Y-Yes, that's true... I'm the Sun~" She smiled proudly, but then hesitated a bit shyly. "... B-But it's still very embarrassing when all the men look at you red-faced... Even annoying... Although women look at me too..."
"Well, you eventually get used to it for better or for worse in the former." Dont sighed irritably at the memory, but shook her head. "Anyway~ If we continue with our plans~ Eventually you'll have to show your face to everyone~ Like the cute little sun you are~ So you better get used to it from now on~" She helped reassure.
Black Abyss sighed, moving around a bit looking at her clothes. It was elegant, a suit consisting of a somewhat loose white coat that was tailored to her body, with long sleeves that became slightly wide at her wrists. Without a doubt, the white color seemed to be made of pure pearls, a perfect concoction that matched Black Abyss herself.
Around her waist was a black belt, much tighter, emphasizing her slim waist, but not squeezing her to the point of being uncomfortable. The suit continued as a white skirt that reached just above her ankles, with a high front opening, slightly showing her thighs as if it were part of a gala dress, allowing the entirety of the boots to be seen. These were long high boots, white from the soles until they began to darken from the knee to the thighs, where they turned completely black, with the lingerie clasps embedded in the boots visible.
She had a wide turtleneck, on her shoulders there was not much more than two patches of golden decoration where she could put whatever she wanted, while she had a gold chain going from one side of her shoulder to the other.
Her delicate hands had simple but beautiful black fabric gloves, so refined that they almost looked like plastic from their perfect shine, but with a softness and comfort superior to silk and plush.
Black Abyss then looked at Dont beside her, who had grabbed a portion of her hair.
"What are you doing...?" The Paladin asked her.
Dont didn't say anything, just started doing various things with Black Abyss's long white hair while humming cheerfully, grabbing two as brooches on one side that complemented the ensemble.
After a few quick seconds, Black Abyss blinked, while Dont puffed out her chest proudly.
"Nothing like pigtails~ Fufu~"
Black Abyss looked at herself in the mirror several times, touching her face and looking at her whole ensemble.
{New Titania's Outfit PNG}
"Lo admito, este es el tipo de mujer con la que soñaría~ {I give it to you. This is the kind of woman I would dream of~}" She exclaimed, looking at herself in the mirror and striking a few cool poses, smiling quite... Excitedly~ She looked very beautiful indeed~ She was like a beautiful radiant Sun on a beautiful day... Well, again, she was the Sun. And her light dazzled with her divine beauty~
"Fufu~ Lo sé~ Yo la hice después de todo~ {I know~ I made her after all}~" The slight frown on Dont's face, accompanied by her smile, gave her an air of incredible greatness and pride. "Ahora eres más linda que nunca~ {Now you are cuter than ever~}"
"Well, yes~ Although the lingerie still feels strange to me..." Black Abyss exclaimed somewhat blushingly as she adjusted the clothes underneath the elegant and classic suit, which undoubtedly highlighted her best attributes and even her personality.
"Fu~ Don't worry about it~ As long as it makes you feel beautiful, it's okay~" Dont smiled as she grabbed a comb made of jewels and gold, a marvel that would be worth countless fortunes to the rest of the world, but was just trash utensils within Titania, yet it served its purpose. The Queen of Titania began to comb Black Abyss's hair carefully.
The pair of maids trembled as they avoided fainting from the blood loss while holding their noses.
"Hm... Is my hair okay? I mean... It's not like I've used products to keep it strong, if we even need them..." Black Abyss asked curiously, but still the combing was relaxing, none of her hairs getting caught in it, as if they were shiny metallic strands... Like rays of pure light reflected from the sky...
"Tch, deja de arruinar las cosas divertidas. {Stop ruining all the fun stuff.}" The Demoness lightly tapped her shoulder to silence her with a playful smile.
"Ok, ok~... Parece gustarte este tipo de cosas… {You seem to like this kinda thing…}" Black Abyss said with a smile looking at the mirror.
"Fufu~ Siendo una verdadera mujer~ {Being a real woman~}" The Queen of Titania chuckled softly before giving Black Abyss a gentle kiss on the head, out of pure affection.
{Back to the present}
"Titania." Alicia's voice called out to her.
She seemed to have drifted off into her thoughts for a moment after recalling all of that... Though... She was undoubtedly happy~ That things had returned to normal was refreshing in many ways.
She looked at Alicia and then ahead, noticing that the previous carriage had passed by quite some time ago judging by the distance. She then saw a soldier approaching them, although he paused for a moment upon seeing them, almost taken aback before composing himself and addressing them.
"I-Is everything alright, ladies?" He asked both of them. Titania looked at him and gave a faint smile.
"Nothing, sir, just lost in thought for a moment." She exclaimed with a soft and calm voice, as beautiful as the sky itself, like the Sun, to which the man bowed slightly, scratching his head.
"I see. Well, please p-proceed." He said, allowing the women to pass. Titania then moved the carriage, passing the security checkpoint and continuing on the way.
"W-Wait! O-One moment!" A uniformed man said, running towards the carriage, catching the attention of the two women. "Turn around, you passed the security checkpoint without permission, we need to do an inspection for the safety of the ci-" The man almost went blank upon seeing Black Abyss, who raised an eyebrow at him.
"Are you arresting us?" The woman in white asked, somewhat annoyed. This pesky human was telling them what to do and what not to do... Perhaps it was an exaggeration to call him a 'pesky human', but that's how Black Abyss had been feeling lately...
Anyway, the man quickly shook his head.
"N-No, no, no, we're just detaining you for passing the security checkpoint."
"But... The soldier said we could pass..." Titania exclaimed, pointing back, to which the man nodded and cleared his throat.
"Y-Yes, but it means you can pass through to the city checkpoint, but since you went past it, we need to conduct a check for any possible danger." He explained nervously, to which Black Abyss sighed.
"Very well then... We'll turn back." At the annoyed expression on the Paladin's face, everyone nearly fell to the ground in embarrassment for having done this to her, but it was regulations and had to be followed... Though the Sun, the divine, shouldn't have to follow mortal laws anyway.
…
"So... Who are we waiting for?" Black Abyss asked, sitting in a chair in front of a table inside the building where border security operated within the city.
"U-Um, we're waiting for the Officer... We can't question you without him present, although he prefers to do it himself." The soldier stumbled over his words as the door was violently thrown open, causing a commotion in the building. However, Black Abyss and Alicia remained unfazed, watching as a skinny man with acne-ridden face but military uniform adorned with medals on his chest, indicating a higher rank by the patches he wore, entered.
"What is your intention in the capital?" the man demanded without waiting at all.
"Ah, we're adventurers. She and I." Black Abyss pointed towards Elise and then herself.
"Names?"
"She's Elise, I'm Titania..." Black Abyss said with a somewhat forced but polite smile. Surely, this man was blind. Couldn't he treat them better? Especially Black Abyss, the Sun?
"Hmp, what ugly names. How long will you be staying in the capital?" The soldier sneered.
Black Abyss grimaced while furrowing her brow, but decided to let it pass for now and answered.
"Well... A few weeks, perhaps 3. We've come to undertake Adamantite-level missions since we've run out of them in E-Rantel..."
The guard chuckled mockingly.
"Yes, yes, of course~ As if a couple of women could really do that~" He mocked. "It'll be 5 silver coins, with 10 gold coins for taxes for such lies. Per person~"
"But... I didn't lie..." Black Abyss said with a slight growl, waving her hand to the side, revealing the Adamantite plate. "Can't you see? It's Adamantite. Haven't you heard of us?" The man looked at the plate and snorted again.
"Hmp~ It'll be an extra 5 gold for forging adamantite~ Everyone knows that the plates come on necklaces~" He said, clearly arrogant.
The other soldier was sweating rivers, and he almost seemed on the verge of death at that moment upon seeing the plates.
"The others weren't charged any of that, and I didn't lie or forge anything. Don't make me annoyed, sir." Black Abyss said, looking even more irritated... This human... This heretic... Was he opposing the Sun?...
Black Abyss frowned, putting her hand on Alicia's shoulder for a moment, who trembled as she looked down, clearly terrified of the Officer... But Black Abyss knew that the lovely Undead was on the verge of simply jumping and tearing the officer's face off with a bite.
"Tch. Resistance to paying taxes... It'll be 5 more gold, or I'll be forced to arrest you." The officer growled.
Black Abyss stood up from her seat, surprising the man with her height, looking at him with serious eyes. Though she stopped herself from doing anything when she heard a voice behind her, entering the building.
"What's going on here, Officer Molinea?" The voice was recognized by Black Abyss, but she didn't turn around, seeing that the officer now looked nervous upon seeing the newcomer.
"C-Captain Stronoff! These two... Women dared to try to pass without paying the entrance fee to the capital. And on top of that, they're forging Adamantite adventurer plates and resisting paying taxes! I have no choice but to arrest them, and yet they still resist." He explained nervously, but with annoyance and haughtiness towards Black Abyss.
It was evident that Alicia was on the brink of simply starting a massacre.
Black Abyss then turned to the newcomer.
"Ah, Gazeff Stronoff." She said the name even with her annoyed expression, and the warrior captain froze for a moment.
"T-Titania...?" He said with clear surprise and awe.
"Well... This man is trying to make us pay taxes for lying and forging Adamantite. But I've already told him that I haven't lied about who I am, and this Adamantite is real." Black Abyss explained to the Warrior Captain, while the officer looked clearly nervous seeing Stronoff's expression, as if he were looking at someone who was almost an idol.
You've got to be kidding... Did he extort acquaintances of the Warrior Captain...? There was no choice, she had to explain herself.
"Captain Gazeff! A-Although they m-may really be Adamantite, th-they shouldn't p-pass without paying the entrance fee or g-going through a screening! What if they bring in something that endangers the people in the capital?"
"B-But... I didn't know... This is my first time in this city..." Black Abyss said with an almost guilty look, a weaker voice, as if she had been attacked all this time, being the true victim here, although it was true.
It was an act... Well, somewhat embarrassing for the Sun to do... But Black Abyss could swallow some of her pride, her light, just to bring about a temporary night, a mere eclipse that hides the true light... Wasn't she being too poetic...?
The officer groaned nervously. Even he was moved by that face.
Gazef sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Officer Molinea... Why don't you take a break and leave this to others for a couple of days? I'll personally select capable people to fill your position during such time."
Molinea gritted his teeth as he avoided saying anything. And with a defeated grunt, he just gave a slight bow.
"O-Of course... Thank you, sir..." He said resignedly, leaving the 'interrogation' room hastily, if he was honest, it could have ended worse.
Black Abyss was patting Alicia's head, who began to relax with them, so she turned to Stronoff.
"I appreciate it very much, Gazeff Stronoff." Titania said with a smile towards him, which he returned with a bow.
"No, no." Gazef denied with a smile. "I should be the one to thank you for your patience. Also, I must apologize." The man gave a deep bow, as if he were apologizing to a noble.
The other soldier in the room just looked nervous, and hastily followed Gazef's example, bowing.
"There's no need, Mr. Stronoff. As someone who has also handled soldiers, I know we can't control everything they do~" Black Abyss said, with her hand gesturing for him to stop.
After all, Black Abyss, apart from being the Sun, was also an avid player of Age of Empires in one of its latest updates.
The Warrior Captain froze for a moment at those words, but straightened up with a somewhat impressed and admiring smile, looking at Black Abyss.
"There's no need to be so formal, just calling me Gazef is fine, as I indicated the last and first time we met." He explained with a smile, to which Black Abyss nodded. It seemed that having contact with the Warrior Captain would bring her ease in this city.
…
Dont resisted the urge to raise an eyebrow.
The Dark Hero Armor was so straight and tense that it really looked like just a common suit of armor if it weren't for the fact that it looked like a human thanks to a certain experiment.
The Headless Guardian's Valor, the Dullahan now with a 'head', stood next to the Construct, basically flanking Dont between the two.
What were the three of them doing?
They were receiving their... Unexpected guests.
Of course, Dont had heard of them through the Shadow Demons, but they weren't part of the original plans.
One was broad-shouldered, with decent clothes, but he was really fat. While the other guest was pale, with facial features that made him look like a scavenger bird covered in black clothes with obvious hidden weapons all over if one thought about it.
While the expressions of the NPC Mercenaries were neutral, especially because they couldn't move their faces at all, Dont herself only had a kind and polite expression accompanied by a smile, which made the guests blush at the dark beauty that Lady Nyx was, and well, Dont~
But internally, the Demon Queen couldn't be more disgusted.
Both by the looks of the two men, and by the smells they emitted.
Of course, she wouldn't be so demanding as to judge the hygienic ability of a medieval society, but the smell of blood and strange things that couldn't be washed off bothered her a bit.
"So~ Officer Stafan~ Could you please repeat to me why you decided to visit my humble abode~?" The Demon asked politely, elegantly sipping the coffee that made one of the level 30 summoned Succubus disguised as maids bring her.
Hm~ How delicious they made the tea even with such low-quality ingredients compared to Titania~
"E-Ejem, yes. Let's get to the point~ The kingdom has a law that prohibits the buying and selling of slaves. We have received a report that the people in this residence might be breaking this law, and we have come to investigate."
Dont raised an eyebrow, honestly confused.
Slaves? Each member of the staff in this mansion were NPC Mercenaries or summons she herself made with souls.
In short, in this mansion, there was enough strength to wipe out the capital without much effort. From the 'weak' maids being level 30 Succubi with varying abilities, to the butlers who were level 40 Devils, a group of 5 level 50 demonic beasts in the basement, the countless Shadow Demons and Hanzos, Dont's two level 80 bodyguards, and Dont herself, level 100. Not to mention Titania's support with just one order.
There were also no slaves in Titania. Like many of the 'Minions', POP monsters up to level 30 that appeared in some areas of Titania, which had lore about being slaves or something. Or the NPC created by PutoelquememateB3, or 'Mate' for short, who was the 'Slave Orc' only by lore, as he still had great authority as practically a commander of the army.
Which only left one last option. Slaves that could be illegally purchased in Re-Estize.
Slavery was illegal in the kingdom, thanks to the so-called Golden Princess, the 3rd princess, Renner Theiere Chardeleon Ryle Vaiself.
However, like all illegal things that meant money, there was always a place where it was carried out clandestinely.
An operation that was carried out by the largest criminal organization in Re-Estize. The Eight Fingers.
"Mm... I see..." Dont pretended to look slightly surprised, looking away somewhat dismayed, as if she really were concerned about such accusations against her, but not to the point of looking suspicious. And then she looked at the pale man. "If I may ask, officer. Who is this person?" She asked politely.
"Hmm? His name is Succulent. He is a representative of the establishment that filed the complaint."
"My name is Succulent. A pleasure to meet you."
Succulent? Like… What kind of pervy name was that…? Was as weird as if someone was named Touch Me or something like that… Was it a joke?
Well, her name was literally 'Dont-Say-My-Name', and Black Abyss White Flower… Plus there were even weirder names across Titania, like Gandolfo, Don Pulpon, etc.
And even though she was annoyed by the man's mocking smile, she couldn't help but feel a certain amusement upon recognizing the name.
"I see~ From the Six Arms, right~?" Dont said amusedly, which caused the officer to furrow his brow but made Succulent's smile widen.
"So, you know about us. That makes things easier~" Succulent chuckled. "Why don't you kindly ask Lady Nyx what we really came here for, Lord Hevish?" He said towards the fat man.
The man relaxed his brow and showed a more... Disturbing smile.
"Hehe~ Well~ You see~ Your guard here took property of the Eight Fingers~ We can forgive such transgression in exchange for the girl and a... Yes~ We'll give you a discount for your hospitality and for being such a beautiful lady~ 100 gold coins and an additional 300, making a total of 400 gold coins~ What do you say? If you don't like it, well, you could... Work a bit to make up for it and fill the gap you left in our establishment~" The officer said, his eyes focused on a certain place on Nyx's body.
"Fufu~ Now listen here, you piece of shit~" Dont got straight to the point, snapping her fingers. A couple of muffled sounds were heard through the door, where the two soldiers who had entered with the officer before had been.
Those succubus are wonderful~
The officer stood up with a furrowed brow, and Succulent raised an eyebrow with a mocking smile, placing a hand on his hip.
But any resistance they might have wanted to put up was reduced to a pile of terrified tremors as the abysmal darkness of pure terror that awaited in the burning depths of the deepest Hell consumed them.
"Wah~ The murderous intent sure is useful for dealing with weaklings~ I'm really not in the mood for nonsense~ Charles~" Using her bodyguard's new name, Dont called out to the Dullahan, immune to the fear effect Dont emitted. "Cut off their arms and legs~ I'll have a little chat with these pigs~"
Dont's smile widened inhumanly, showing teeth as sharp as swords.
"We're going to have a lot of fun~" Her hoarse voice made the two men tremble~
…
"Are you still angry, Elise?" Black Abyss asked the woman walking beside her. They had left the adventurer's guild of this city, and some time had passed.
"... Such insolence... To insult Titania in such a way and go unpunished..." Though her voice sounded sad, depressed, and pitiful, only Black Abyss knew of the barely contained rage behind it.
She sighed for a moment, but she also felt the anger that the man had called Titania's name ugly, and had insulted the Sun itself, in other words, Black Abyss. So, she sympathized with Alicia in that sense, but with the fame they had now, they couldn't simply go and punish him in public.
Moreover, Black Abyss was already suffering much more being the total center of attention as she walked along the side of the street, being seen by the marveling eyes of everyone around. She wanted to say... It was inevitable for the Sun to be admired~ But Black Abyss wasn't quite used to it yet.
Despite that, she raised an eyebrow when she saw a crowd forming not far from them, and it wasn't to admire their beauty or Alicia's. She stopped for a moment, but the truth was she wasn't very interested in that. Perhaps it was some kind of event in this city or a public debate, she had heard that ancient Greeks used to do such things a loooooong time ago...
When she turned, she narrowed her eyes, hearing complaints and insults, as well as several angry voices and laughter, followed by constant blows…
"W-We should call the guards..." A woman in the crowd said somewhat scared.
"They're going to kill him..." An old man exclaimed in the same tone, impotent in his voice knowing he couldn't do anything.
"Sorry..." The weak and pained voice was barely heard by Black Abyss, making her growl and approach the crowd.
"What's going on here!?" She exclaimed loudly, drawing attention not only for the beauty of her voice but also for the strength with which she spoke, silencing everyone.
People made way for Black Abyss and Alicia, who could see 5 men in the middle, with a boy lying on the ground. From his appearance and what she had heard earlier, it was certain that he was being targeted by those 5 guys, making Black Abyss frown.
The five men looked at Titania and Elise, looking at each other, shifting from being red with anger to being red from seeing them both, laughing among themselves for a moment.
"She's a woman~ *Hic* And a beautiful one~ *Hic* And she has a sword~ *Hic* What will you do~? Cut my hair~? Haha-*Hic*-Ha~"
The men mocked, to which Black Abyss walked forward.
"Let no one interfere." She exclaimed to Alicia with a slight growl, who instantly nodded, restraining the need to bow to Black Abyss.
These heretics... Er, humans...
The woman, dressed perfectly, elegantly, classically, nobly, and beautifully, approached the 5 men dressed in tattered and battered clothes, feeling the smell of alcohol emanating from them.
"Huh~? What do you want, pret-...? Wao~" One exclaimed impressed when Black Abyss approached close enough for him to realize the height difference, she being up to 190 cm tall, towering over everyone present.
Looking at the boy, she wanted to use him to reason with her now personal anger.
"That's enough. If you keep hitting him, you'll kill him." Titania exclaimed with a sigh, but sounding clearly serious.
"Huh? That brat dirtied my clothes with food *Hic* Of course he mu-*Hic* He must learn the lesson." One of the men said approaching Black Abyss, looking her up and down as she frowned.
"Go away. Now." She growled at the man, who looked at her pretending to be afraid.
"Uuh~ And what does the her-*Hic* heroine plan to do~?"
Black Abyss then pointed her hand downwards, causing the man to look, and in an instant, she kneed him in the stomach. He let out a cry of pain, but fell to the ground without any movement, unconscious from the powerful blow.
"Hey-!" A young man with blonde hair tried to interrupt, but Alicia stood in front of him, looking at him inquisitively while shaking her head, preventing him from getting involved in what was about to become a fight.
"Is that... Is that Titania?"
"I-It must be her!" Hopeful and excited voices were heard in the crowd, making the young blonde man look at the tall and beautiful woman in white with great attention.
"Damn bitc-!" Black Abyss stopped another man's sentence with a punch to the cheek, making him spin twice in the air before falling unconscious to the ground.
Another one attacked her from behind, punching her, not expecting Titania to turn in an instant, catching his wrist and delivering a blow to his neck that left him totally breathless, falling incapacitated to the ground.
Another one tried to attack her from behind, but Black Abyss disappeared and reappeared behind him, hitting him with the side of her hand on the back of his neck, knocking him out.
She looked at the last man standing, who took a few steps back, fearful, but before he could escape, he received a powerful blow to the liver, writhing in pain before falling to the ground.
The crowd cheered excitedly for Black Abyss, praising her and eliciting a very faint smile from Alicia, while making Black Abyss blush a little, which was very obvious due to the paleness of her pearlescent skin.
She shook her head and approached the boy who had been beaten, seeing the sorry state he was in. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a recovery potion, not one from Yggdrasil, one of the ones Nfirea gave her before leaving E-Rantel, making the boy drink it, while the crowd praised Titania's generosity once again.
The young man opened his eyes, feeling less pain than before, able to get up and staying hypnotized looking at his savior, who smiled and stood up.
"Go, if something like this happens again, call the guards. I won't always be here to protect you." She said with a smile, to which the young boy nodded firmly, bowing after getting up and thanking her with total appreciation.
The praise from the crowd embarrassed Black Abyss even more, who gestured to Alicia to indicate that they should leave, which she quickly obeyed.
The bystanders made way for both women, as if they were heroines, allowing them to leave without any problem, except for Black Abyss and her embarrassment with so many people around her.
Both continued walking without saying anything, but they both knew one thing, even though they were undoubtedly the center of attention, they felt like they were being followed... By two entities even...
Black Abyss turned towards an alley behind a building, followed closely by Alicia, if someone was going to follow them, it's not like she wouldn't do anything about it.
"Excuse me!"
She turned then, seeing the blond boy in shining armor.
…
"Hm~ So here it is," Dont hummed as she looked at the entrance to the brothel.
That fat human and Succulent, whom she couldn't help but remember by his weird name, had given a generous amount of information before dying and being used to summon a good couple of Demons.
Succulent, from the Six Arms. He even gave her information about the whereabouts of the other members of that 'elite' unit.
And now, she was ready to nip the problem in the bud, eliminating the brothel and starting the plan to call the Eight Fingers to her doorstep, basically.
With a snap of her fingers, the reinforced iron door was kicked open by the Dark Hero Armor, alerting a man who was there casually.
Dont simply used her [Demon Eyes] to practically kill him at a relatively fast speed, as he was so weak that Dont could kill him with that simple ability.
Two men arrived from the narrow hallway that the door led to, and Dont simply gave a mental command while rolling her eyes.
The two Shadow Devils emerged from the shadows and tore their throats with utmost ease. Worthy of level 48 summons.
"Go and kill all the humans in this place, take the bodies stealthily to the mansion after cleaning them to leave no odors. Take everything of value and leave no evidence of our presence. Leave clues to make it seem like they simply abandoned the place. If something unexpected happens, or if you find anything, let me know," Dont said disinterestedly, but with a satisfied smile of a job well done. Now the Shadow Devils, the Hanzos, and the Shadow Devils would take care of things appropriately.
However, Succulent's words came to her mind.
"Oh, and if you see a man who's kind of gay and effeminate in attitude and dress, bring him back alive." With that final order, Dont smiled satisfied, grabbing the Dark Hero Armor by the shoulder, and using her ability, she appeared at the point she marked in the mansion.
And she used a [Message] to one of Black Abyss's Shadow Devils. Obviously, she had to inform her of this development of events.
