Chapter 3: 3: Being able to make a move does not mean that you like it

Three years later.

Around eleven o'clock in the morning, in a forest east of the city of Ulster.

Bang——!

As the wild boar slammed into a tree thicker than a bowl, causing the tree to break with a loud noise, a petite ten-year-old black-haired boy jumped out from the tree trunk with a frown on his face. He was naturally Kevin.

"It seems like I picked the wrong opponent."

Kevin muttered softly and landed steadily on the ground. He looked at the wild boar, which turned its head and looked at him with scarlet eyes, and screamed angrily. Its sharp fangs flashed coldly in the sunlight. His expression was very calm.

The wild boar pounded the ground with its hooves in annoyance, then roared and attacked Kevin again. Kevin slowly stood up and did not dodge immediately. Instead, after hesitating for a moment, he sighed, put away the sword in his hand, and took out something from his arms.

"Flaglak, battle mode."

Kevin took out a spherical object from his arms and with a thought, the ball turned into a magic sword that was slightly longer than a dagger.

Kevin, holding the magic sword, faced the attack from the wild boar that was taller than him. He dodged it easily with his agility which was far superior to that of the wild boar. At the same time, the magic sword in his hand easily cut across the wild boar's neck like cutting tofu.

The next second, blood spurted out from Kevin's back, as gorgeous as an explosion!

boom--!

Kevin turned around and looked at the headless wild boar that had fallen down with its four legs still waving. He couldn't help but frown... The scene before him made him feel a little unhappy.

Shielding his eyes from the sun with his hands, he looked up through the dense leaves at the sun above his head. After estimating the time, Kevin, who was suppressing his discomfort, walked past the blood splattered on the ground, came to the wild boar, put away the magic sword, took out the long sword worn on his waist, and skillfully stripped the wild boar's fur.

After finishing, he glanced at the huge wild boar head flying in the distance with its eyes still staring at him. After hesitating for a while, he finally stepped forward to remove its fangs and wrapped the two objects in the package he had prepared long ago.

"Okay, it's time to go back...wait." Kevin, who was about to go back, looked at the sun in the sky again.

"Killing the pig is like breaking its heart..." Kevin walked back with emotion, took out the magic sword again, aimed at the pig's trotter, and swung it down!

...

...

"Kevin is back." At the gate of Ulster City, the soldier guarding the gate looked at Kevin, who was holding a bloody package but looked clean, and said with a smile: "It looks like we have a good harvest today."

"Yeah, it's OK." Kevin replied politely with a smile on his face, "Thank you for your hard work, Uncle Denton. Next time I go out, I will remember to bring you some pastries."

"Really!" Hearing Kevin say this, the gatekeeper's eyes lit up, he licked his lips, and immediately let Kevin pass with a smile.

Many people on the road greeted Kevin, and Kevin politely replied to them one by one. After returning home, Kevin looked around and found that he was the only one there. He had not come back yet, so he went into the kitchen, lit a fire, brought out a large pot, and put the cleaned wild boar's trotters in it.

"Let me take a look at the spices... Well, there are still some left. It's really troublesome to collect them by myself." Kevin put his hand on his chin and thought: "Why not just tell King Conchieber directly and let him help me collect them? He has always been interested in spices.

Well... never mind. I'd better try to avoid doing such outrageous things, so as not to cause too much trouble to those archaeological students in the future, and let them continue to think that this is the divine food that my father gave me."

Kevin shook his head, put the spices in place, controlled the heat, and then went to the back door. He took a large bucket of water from the large water tank, rinsed his head, washed his face, and removed the debris on his body. After feeling much better, Kevin looked at his reflection in the water tank...

"Yeah, so handsome!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Kevin's ears moved and he heard a sudden noise in the house.

"Hey, what's that smell? It smells so good!... Kevin, I'm back!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Kevin couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth. He walked into the house and saw a handsome young man with blue hair and red eyes lying on a fur sofa. Kevin was about to call him, but suddenly saw someone else next to him.

"Connor, you're here too."

Connor, the younger brother of King Conchieber, is a powerful adult warrior with a steady character and a good person. He has been teaching Kevin and Cu Chulainn, who is lying on the sofa, martial arts since three years ago.

"Hmm..." Connor's nose twitched, and then he cast a longing look at Kevin.

Kevin was speechless. Guessing what he wanted to say, he pointed to the animal leather sofa beside him and said, "Come and sit down. I made a lot today. Let's eat together later."

"That's embarrassing," Connor said while shaking his head sheepishly, and sat down without hesitation, as if he was afraid that Kevin would go back on his word.

The animal skin sofa, actually, cannot be called a sofa, because it is made very simply and does not even have the appearance of a sofa. However, it is quite comfortable to sit on, after all, the fur on it is the most authentic, put on layer by layer.

"Kevin, what are we having for dinner today?" Upon hearing that there was a new guest, Cu Chulainn couldn't help but pouting his lips knowing that he would have to eat much less later.

"Wild boar's trotter," Kevin answered and sat down. He looked at Cu Chulainn, who was only ten years old but full of vigor and vitality, then looked at himself and the corner of his mouth twitched.

It seemed that because of the magic fruit, although Kevin trained with Cu Chulainn every day, he had no muscles at all, and his skin was unusually white and tender, which made many women secretly envious!

Simply put, you can use either handsome or cool to describe Cu Chulainn, but it seems that the only word to describe Kevin is cute.

Everything will be fine when you grow up, everything will be fine when you grow up... Kevin can only use this reason to comfort himself at the moment.

"Is everything going well?" Kevin, who sat down, asked Connor across from him.

"Wow Kevin, you don't know how exciting it is!" Before Connor could answer, Cu Chulainn sat up and gestured excitedly: "When those thieves saw us, their faces changed and they fled madly. Then I rushed up and chased them and chopped them one by one, haha!"

Normally Kevin would stay with Cu Chulainn, but today he went to the forest alone to hunt wild animals because he wanted to go out with the Knights of the Red Branch to fight against thieves.

The Knights of the Red Branch are the most elite knightly order in the Kingdom of Ulster. To put it simply, it is a team composed of the strongest warriors in Ulster. They are very famous throughout the entire continent of Erin. The weakest of them can fight against a hundred people at once, and they pick warriors, not civilians!

Connor naturally invited Kevin, but Kevin refused. As for the reason for his refusal...

"Cu Chulainn!" Connor glared at Cu Chulainn and told him to talk less. Then he said to Kevin apologetically, "He was a little too excited. I just wanted him to watch from behind, but he rushed in directly..."

Hearing this, Kevin glanced at Cu Chulainn who was jumping around beside him, and said nothing.

"What?" Cu Chulainn was indignant after being yelled at, and muttered: "It's not like he hasn't killed before..."

"If it's to subjugate wild beasts, monsters, or something like that, I can go with you." Hearing his underestimation, Kevin didn't hide it and admitted openly, "But I don't like people."

The reason for the refusal was simple. As a modern man, even after living here for three years, Kevin still couldn't adapt to the scene of blood splattering everywhere. But as Cu Chulainn said, he had killed people, and more than one person!

When necessary, he will act without hesitation!

But being able to make a move doesn't mean you like it.
