Chapter 13: Chapter 12: The Theft of Hidan’s Powers
As Ryuji's power grew, his mind turned to the idea of stealing other powerful abilities, much like he had done with the various dojutsu. One day, while roaming through the hidden lands, he encountered a group of rogue shinobi who belonged to the Akatsuki. Among them was a man named Hidan, a fanatical and seemingly immortal monk with the ability to perform a gruesome ritual known as the Jashin technique.
Hidan's immortality intrigued Ryuji. He sought to understand the method behind it and, perhaps, to claim it for himself. Ryuji's skills in chakra manipulation and forbidden jutsu had already surpassed anything Hidan could imagine, and when Ryuji confronted him, Hidan stood little chance. With a swift, decisive move, Ryuji stole Hidan's immortality and his ability to transfer pain to others. His chakra fused with Hidan's cursed power, effectively granting him immortality while also gaining the ritualistic techniques of Jashin.
Now, Ryuji was virtually untouchable—able to heal from any injury and transfer pain as though he were an embodiment of the very laws of nature. These abilities made him even more dangerous, but he knew that they would draw attention from those who could pose a threat. And so, after absorbing Hidan's powers, he decided to disappear from the world's watchful eye.
