Chapter 54 dragon vine.
..........
Soon Max sat with Lucy for dinner.
two plates of dragon omelet was on the stone table in front of them.
He already confirmed that this thing was edible from the simulator.
Lucy looked at the omelet. This thing is obviously not a seed. Is Max trying to trick herself?
Max started eating first, but his eating pase kept getting faster and faster, like a ravenous beast.
This thing was too good.
Looking at her pet master's actions, she curiously tried some.
Her eyes widened instantly, and just like Max, she started eating like a hungry beast.
Just like that, the pair of master and pet enjoyed a dragon omelet.
The pair finish the meal at the same time, and the two of them discreetly switched their gaze to each other’s plate.
Finding that both plates were empty, Max sighed while little Lu was irritated.
“well that was something else.” Max relaxed on his seat.
Lucy flew up to him.
‘more?’.
Max was speechless and just shook his head.
“no more.”
Lucy felt sad. She never tasted something so delicious before.
“little Lu, when we become stronger we can go hunt for dragons, so work hard.”
Lucy nodded sadly, but she noticed something on the side that grabbed her attention.
The Dragon eggshell.
Before Max could react, he found Lucy chewing on the shall like some chips.
Max's mouth twitched. He wanted to stop her but looking at the hungry light in her eyes, Max felt that she will eat him if he stopped her.
“meh who cares? If she wants to eat it, then let her.”
Max prepared a cup of coffee while waiting for the simulator’s cooldown.
Lucy finished her eggshell and rushed to Max to inform him how good it was.
Ml. MI. Mi. Mo.
While listening to Lucy's shenanigans, he had the illusion he was listening to a poem!
Max was confused and just shook his head.
[ding.]
“huh?”
The simulator suddenly started prompting.
[ding, your pet the mountain fairy Lucy, has absorbed an inheritance item (green dragon eggshell) .]
“The eggshell is actually an inheritance item? “
inheritance items can be anything from a drop of blood, a horn or a tooth, or like this case, an eggshell.
These items contain power, and knowledge left by the adults to the young ones of the race.
Only powerful beasts and some special races can leave an inheritance item for their young ones.
However, absorbing an inheritance requires a certain blood connection with the one who left it, if not, then at the very least some certain requirements are needed to gain some benefits from it if you absorb it anyway.
[ding, the pet isn't compatible with this inheritance item and augmentation is impossible.]
[Ding, assimilating second inheritance ability. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating second inheritance ability. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating third inheritance ability. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating fourth inheritance ability. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating fifth inheritance ability. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating first inheritance skill. Failed.. due to the low compatibility.]
[ding, assimilating second inheritance skill. Failed. due to the low compatibility.]
Max wanted to ask the simulator why was it messing with him. If Lucy didn't get anything out of it, then why trouble him and ruin his good mood?
“fucking 5 abilities, and 2 skills lost just like that.”
But there was one more prompt that fixed Max's mood.
[ding, assimilating third inheritance skill. Success. Dragon Vine learned.]
Lucy looked excited while Max laughed out loud.
“as expected, we are the heroes, little Lu. We can always turn misfortune into fortune.”
Lucy gave him a white look.
Is her master delusional now?
Even she could tell they weren't the good guys. She felt worried and distressed about her master's mental health, even forgetting her new skill.
Max, oblivious to Lucy's thoughts, excitedly opened her stats. That's a dragon skill. It should be very powerful.
[Ding. Scanning].
Name: Lucy.
Race: mountain fairy.
Strength: E.
Agility: E+.
Vitality: E.
Spirituality: E++.
Overall evaluation: E+.
Skills & abilities :
1- [Mountain ruler]. 2- [Misty Mountain]. 3- [wood aura]. 4- [blessed mind]. 5- [wind’s chosen]. 6- [Emerald water]. 7- [blessed].
8- [dragon Vine]:
Skill rank: green.
Proficiency: initiation.
-can utilize the surrounding vegetation to grow a sturdy vine that can be wielded as a close-range weapon, or remotely controlled using your mental power.
The vine has a weaken version of green-dragon poison on it that can cause slight paralysis and a small amount of poison damage.
“an actual damage skill!.” exclaimed Max.
Skills that primarily cause damage are hard to get.
Back in the train from Jamie, Max couldn't even get a white grade damage skill.
You have to understand that even (Misty Mountain) isn't a damage skill, but one mainly used for concealment.
The only reason it shows such power is because of the amplification from (mountain ruler).
Now that Lucy has an actual damage skill, Max didn't think anything could threaten her life in the current simulation world.
He was looking forward to the power of the skill after it's amplified by an entire mountain.
Max switched his attention to Lucy's stats. Her vitality actually increased.
Thinking of something, Max figured out the reason.
To confirm it, he checked his own Vitality, and as he expected, it was E.
“well that egg wasn't just tasty but also beneficial, hunting dragons might just be added to my to do list.”
Upon hearing Max's words, Lucy, on the side, kept nodding vigorously in till her vision blurred and she became dazed for a moment.
“alright, alright, you love dragon eggs, first get stronger.
And speaking of getting stronger, the cooldown is over. Are you ready Lu?”
Lucy nodded solemnly, feeling motivated.
She will work hard to become stronger to protect her master and make the world submit to him. Definitely not because she was hungry for Dragon eggs.
