The Owl House: Son of Edalyn (Owlphibia AU)

Olivier maintained a sour expression on his face

as he walked down the stairs with a worried Anne close behind him.

As the pair walked into the parlor where they last left the frogs,

the paused to see Hop Pop and Dell Clawthorne engaged in an intense board game.

Meanwhile, Sprig and Polly were actually reading some books quietly,

while Maddie was absent from the rest of the group for some reason

(although sounds coming from the kitchen implied where she was.)

"Well, everyone seems to be getting along." spoke Anne (trying to lighten the mood.)

"hmph." emoted Olivier, his mind presently elsewhere.

Noting Olivier was still distressed, Anne walked closer an put her arms around him from behind.

Olivier then froze, seemingly unable to escape from the human girl's embrace.

"hey...it's Okay." spoke Anne, her tone softer.

"I'm here now. And, I won't let anyone hurt you ever again...you know that, right?"

Olivier breathed out softly as he reached for one of Anne's hands and kissed it tenderly.

"I know...and I'm sorry if my anger scared you in any way." spoke Olivier,

feeling a little ashamed over his prior behavior in front of the girl he loved.

"It does scare me sometimes..." spoke Anne, softly. "but I am more scared FOR you, than OF you."

"good. I never, EVER want you to be afraid of me..." Olivier then breathed out sharply.

"The Titan must've really took pity on me...to arrange for us to meet when we did.

You have a kind, loving heart Annie. One that I sometimes wonder if I even deserve."

Anne turned Olivier around and looked at him.

She gently caressed his ear nubs as she ran her fingers through his messy hair.

"you DESERVE to be happy..." spoke Anne, softly.

"and while I may not know what I am suppose to do with my life...

If all I ever do is help you up when you fall...then that's good enough for me."

Anne then gave Olivier a tender kiss.

"No matter what happens. I'm here for you." said Anne.

Olivier smiled, and held the Thai Girl in a loving embrace.

"I promise...I'll find a way to get you back home." spoke Olivier.

"I know this hasn't been fair for you, Seeing me back with my family while you are-"

Anne placed her fingers on Olivier's lips. "I know...I know you will." spoke Anne.

"And while I will admit, it does feel aggravating to come this far

and STILL not be any closer to home than I was before...but we still came *THIS* far."

Anne gave Olivier a soft expression.

"The day you came into my life...you gave me something that I was beginning to lose: Hope.

And even now, I still have faith that you will find a way to make my wish come true."

Anne embraced Olivier once again. "my wonderful, MAGICAL boyfriend."

Olivier briefly shed a tear, happy to have such a wonderful girl in his life.

As the pair embraced tighter...there was suddenly a flash.

Olivier and Anne quickly split apart to see Eda standing at the stairs, holding up a phone.

"That's gonna be my new lock screen for awhile..." smirked Eda.

"MOM!" exclaimed Olivier, red-faced.

Eda chuckled as she walked down the stairs, and gave Olivier a quick kiss on his forehead.

He and Anne watched the rest of the "Owl Group" descended downward.

Anne giggled as she watched King waddle past, following Eda into another room.

She also smiled and waved to Luz (who also waved back.)

"Umm...Hi." spoke Willow Park, approaching. "We never got fully acquainted-"

"oh, yeah...You're Willow. Olivier mentioned you once." spoke Anne.

"He did?"

"Yeah, he said you were his first friend...and that he missed you."

Olivier blushed a little at Anne's statement.

Willow frowned, but forced herself to smile. "I missed him, too."

Anne hugged Willow. "Glad to meet you, Low."

Willow widened her eyes. "l-low?"

"Oh, right. I have a habit of giving nicknames to some of my friends." explained Anne.

"B-But if you don't like it, then we'll stick to Willow."

Willow paused for a moment. "Hmm...Actually, I do kinda like it. You can call me that if you want."

Anne smiled, and gave Willow yet another hug.

It was then that Luz decided to approach Olivier.

"It's g-great that I finally get to meet you." said Luz.

Olivier shrugged, and managed a grin. "same...So you filled in for me while I was away, huh?"

Luz blushed a little. "I...guess?"

Olivier took a moment to look at Luz...and froze upon seeing Marcy for a moment.

It was odd, but everything about Luz just reminded him of Anne's other friend.

That Cheerful, Optimistic, Overeager and Adventurous Girl.

...least that was how he remembered her. before-

"Oliver?...Are you okay?" spoke Luz. "You're kinda zoning out on-"

Olivier suddenly gave Luz a hug.

"oh...Wow." spoke Luz, surprised.

"thank you for...taking care of my mom." spoke Olivier "...and King."

Luz smiled as she patted Olivier with affection. "Anytime."

Olivier maintained his hug, silently vowing to protect Luz from suffering a similar fate as Marcy.

He knew right away that this Luz was very innocent and trusting...kinda like HE was.

And he would be DAMNED if he ever let anything bad happen to her.

Olivier finally released Luz, both blushing. "ss-sorry if I...(*ahem*), overstepped my boundaries there."

"Hey, it's OKAY..." spoke Luz, smiling warmly. "I feel like we're practically 'Family', Already!"

Olivier blushed again "...f-family."

Anne smiled warmly at Olivier...but then they both scowled as Amity Blight walked up.

"h-hi...you must be Anne." spoke Amity, trying to be friendly.

"Yes...I am." answered Anne, her voice now cold. "Captain of the Varsity Team,

Wartwood's Frog of the Year, and Olivier Clawthorne's PROTECTIVE Girlfriend."

Olivier couldn't help but smirk as he watched this scene from afar (while Luz grimaced anxiously.)

"and YOU must be Amity Blight." continued Anne.

"Ollie ALSO told me about you. Not a whole lot, but..."Enough."

Amity frowned, Clearly she and Anne weren't going to be fast friends like she apparent was with Luz

(then again, Anne & Luz were both humans in worlds that weren't their own, so their bond made sense.)

"look, I-"

"OLIVER!" called out a voice.

Everyone looked to saw a small, blue frog child run over to Olivier.

The Frog Girl was holding up a plate that had some cookies shaped like a variety of creatures.

"I helped your grandma make these while you and Anne were sleeping!" spoke Maddie.

Olivier quickly changed his cold demeaner, to a cheerful one as he knelt down

and gave the baby blue frog girl an affectionate pat on her mop top hair.

"good work, Maddie. I am sure that everyone will love them." said Olivier, warmly.

Amity, Willow and Luz stared at this scene. Astonished at how quickly Olivier shifted

from being Cold and Spiteful, to the Warm and Loving boy that Amity and Willow remembered.

It was almost as if two entities were co-existing in one body, Both as different as DAY and NIGHT.

"Let's set up everything in the Den, Maddie." spoke Olivier, almost like an Older Brother.

"OKAY!" exclaimed Maddie, as she walked away with Olivier.

Anne then turned to the three other girls.

"That's Maddie. She is a frog from Amphibia who is also a Witch-in-Training." explained Anne.

"In fact, she is kinda the ONLY magically gifted Frog in her village.

Ollie is teaching her magic as her mentor...Kinda like Miss Eda is with Luz, I guess."

"That's wonderful!" said Willow, smiling.

"COOL!" said Luz. "Like Mother, Like Son."

Amity also smiled, but was unable to say anything due to her guilty conscious.

Her memories were once again turning against her, forcing her to recall

something horrible that she had once told Olivier on the day of their fallout...

(("you will NEVER reach my level, Olivier...just GIVE UP."))

Amity groaned sharply, aggravated with herself at just how wrong she had been.

Olivier had not only reached her level...he has somehow SURPASSED It.

And now had become someone's teacher, while she was still just a mere student

(...and one without her own mentor now, too!)

"I'd love to learn more about how you and Olivier met...and this Amphibia place." spoke Willow.

"I'll save that for everyone to hear later." said Anne.

"It is quite a big story, and not one that I can tell in ten words or less."

"Fair Enough." said Luz.

As the group made their way to another room...Anne gave Amity one more cold glare.

She then extended to fingers, pointed them at her own eyes...and then towards Amity.

Amity grimaced as Anne walked away with Olivier. Both saddened as the distain directed towards her,

But oddly enough...She also felt glad that Ollie found himself such a spitfire of a girlfriend.

(Amity almost cracked a smile as she imagined what Anne might do to Boscha

if she tried to resume bullying Olivier like she always did before.)

[Later]

In a large room with a wide window overlooking the forest outside,

The Clawthornes and their many guests all sat on a curved couch.

Everyone was watching as Anne and Olivier were standing before them,

with both a crudely drawn chart and some quick illusions that Olivier conjured up.

The Chart and Illusions depicted a map of Amphibia, a model of the Calamity Box,

Illustrations of the Calamity Gems, Frobots, Newtopia and King Andrias Leviathan.

"OKAY, so to recap..." began Olivier, holding up an old training wand like a pointer.

"There exists another Parallel Realm besides the one where Humans are from called "Amphibia."

Which is like the "Amphibilands" that exist in the Sunken Isles...but on a far larger scale."

Upon hearing this statement, The Plantars and Maddie immediately made a mental note

to look into this 'Sunken Isles' when they could find the time to do so.

(Even Hop Pop wondered if these "Amphibilands" were anything like his own home.)

"AND there is this thing called the Calamity Box that is SUPER Important to all this." spoke Anne, next.

"Yes, though the box itself is just a fancy wood carving by itself." added Olivier.

"What is REALLY important are the three Calamity Gems that the box houses.

It was because of THOSE very gems, and their cosmic-level power

that is the very reason why Me and Anne disappeared from our respected realms."

"Which is currently in the hands of a Tyrant Newt King bent on Inter-Dimensional Conquest!" exclaimed Anne.

"Which is fortunately running in fumes, since one of the gems was never fully recharged." said Olivier.

Anne smiled proudly as she balled a fist in the air, which briefly flared with cyan blue energy.

"You're welcome." said Anne, grinning wide.

Olivier smiled at his girlfriend, and continued to speak.

"And when I first arrived in Amphibia, Anne had already been living there for Three Months.

When she told me her story, I promised to help get her back to her own world

since my mother already had her own personal portal to the Human Realm...or, DID."

Eda frowned at this (as did Luz, who kinda was mostly responsible for it being gone now.)

"So, even though I am now back home...I still need to keep my promise,

and find some other way to get Anne back to her own world, and reunite her with her family." continued Olivier.

"Not to mention reopening a way back to Amphibia to not only return The Plantars and Maddie back home,

but to do something about King Andrias and his army of Frobot Invaders. as well as Sasha...and, Marcy."

Anne frowned a little, still bothered by what became of Marcy last she saw her.

But she tried to put that in the back of her mind as she forced herself to smile.

"So...Any Questions?" spoke Olivier to his audience.

Luz raised her hand.

"Yeah, Luz?"

"What happened to the OTHER Calamity Box?" asked Luz. "you know: The one that YOU had, Olivier."

"That box was apparently a mere replica of the original that Anne had." explained Olivier.

"Unfortunately, it was destroyed during my confrontation with Grunge when he ultimately betrayed me."

"Oh...crapbaskets." mused Luz.

"So, now there is just ONE box...and Andrias has it." added Anne, an edge in her voice.

"yeah...just like how Belos has Eda's Portal." muttered Luz, sadly.

"I think we should focus more on the positives right now..." spoke Eda.

Eda then got up, and approached her teenage son and his sweetheart.

the silver haired woman then embraced them both with both her arms.

"My son is finally back home...and he's found himself someone special on his adventure.

Not to mention managed to grow stronger as a Witch, and even carved his own Palisman!"

Fleetwing was perched nearby (alongside Fangora, Owlbert, and even Hawksley and Bagel.)

"Now, this drama with this Newt King and his Army...We'll get to that later." continued Eda.

"Like you said, it doesn't sound like he'll be an immediate problem right now.

So let's all just relax...and focus on finding a way back to the Human Realm.

I still need to do that to get Luz back to her mother when the time comes anyway,

And Yes, I will find a way to get you back to your own family, Anne...

...It is the least I could do for all you have done for my son."

Anne blushed as she looked at Eda. "I...really didn't do that much."

Eda kept her arm around Olivier as she faced Anne.

"don't be so modest, Kid...Because of you, my boy his Happy again.

So if any good came from all of this, then it was my Ollie finding his way to you."

Anne blushed even harder at this. "I...suppose I can accept that."

Eda finally hugged Anne tightly. "thank you...Anne Boonchuy. for bringing my baby home."

While Olivier awkwardly blushed hard, Anne managed a smile as she hugged Eda back.

(and quickly found that she liked hugging her due to her long mane of hair.)

"AWW!, That is so WHOLESOME!" fawned Luz, with shiny eyes.

Olivier stood aside as his mother and girlfriend continued to hug.

He smiled...but then turned his attention to the others.

...And his sights set on ONE person.

Amity could almost feel a chill as Olivier's looked upon her.

And indeed...Olivier cast a very cold glare that was devoid of any warmth.

It made anyone sitting near where Amity was (namely Willow) feel uneasy.

As Olivier maintained his gaze upon his former friend (*and one time crush)

He felt a familiar power start to rise within him. a Dark power that he could barely contain.

He clenched his teeth as as an icy breath escaped his lips,

His black pupils briefly flashing blue, while his left blue eye glowed.

"oh, boy..." spoke Hop Pop, holding his teacup nervously. "We'd better go, kids."

"But It's starting to get GOOD!" retorted Polly.

After what felt like forever...Olivier finally inhaled deep, and let out a sharp breath.

Somehow he managed to subdue whatever dark feelings that was building up, and suppress it on his own.

He then turned around...and wordlessly began to leave the room through an alternate doorway.

Anne parted from Eda and watched Olivier as he walked away. "Ollie?"

Olivier stopped for a moment as Anne approached. "sorry...but I need some time alone to think."

Anne frowned, sensing the turmoil stirring within her boyfriend. "are you sure?"

Olivier nodded. "yes. don't worry about me...just spend some time with Luz. I'll be okay."

Olivier finally turned and left the room.

Eda approached, and put a comforting hand upon Anne's shoulder.

"I know you are worried about him...but he's right: Give him some time to himself." spoke Eda.

"I don't like seeing him miserable." said Anne, looking up at Eda.

"What if he really does NEED me?!, but just thinks he doesn't."

Eda smiled weakly.

"I understand how you feel...I really do. But if you coddle him too much, you could risk suffocating him.

Just...let him blow off some steam for now. You'll know when he'll REALLY need you when the time comes."

Anne frowned as she glanced at the doorway that Olivier left from.

She then exhaled sharply, finally relenting. "alright...I'll give him some space."

Eda smiled. "Good...Now: Who wants to see some of Ollie's old Baby Pictures?"

"ME!" exclaimed Anne, suddenly elated.

Meanwhile, Luz and Willow breathed a sigh of relief. "Woo, that was close." spoke Luz.

"For a moment, I thought he was gonna freak out again."

Willow turned to look at Amity...and jumped to find she had disappeared.

"hey...Where is Amity?"
