The Originals/Underworld: The Elder Mikaelson

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Price of Power

The white void stretched endlessly in all directions, a canvas of infinite possibility. Christian stood before Truth, studying the entity's unsettling smile. Unlike his first death, when fear and confusion had clouded his mind, now he felt only calm acceptance. The training of the Ozunu Clan had taught him to face death without fear; living two lives had taught him to face existence with understanding.

"Twice now you have given your life for others," Truth said, its voice carrying undertones that seemed to resonate with reality itself. "First, succumbing to illness alone. Then, sacrificing yourself for your brother. Interesting choices for one who began as a solitary soul."

Christian's violet eyes met Truth's gaze steadily. "Death holds little fear when life holds little meaning. Raizo gave my second life purpose. He deserved the chance to live free."

"And what of your first life?" Truth's smile widened. "The lonely child who found solace in stories of vampires and demons, who dreamed of power while lacking the strength to even save himself?"

"That life taught me the value of knowledge," Christian replied. "Every story, every show, every piece of lore I absorbed – they were preparing me for something greater."

Truth's laughter echoed through the void. "Indeed! And now, here you stand, ready for your third existence. But first..." Truth gestured, and a massive wheel materialized beside them, its surface covered in familiar images from countless stories and worlds. "Shall we see where fate leads you?"

Christian approached the wheel, his movements carrying the fluid grace of a master assassin. His eyes caught glimpses of potential destinies – the ninja world of Naruto, the supernatural conflicts of Bleach, and countless others. When he spun the wheel, its motion seemed to distort reality around them.

As the wheel slowed, Truth's smile grew more pronounced. The final landing on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals seemed almost predetermined.

"How fascinating," Truth mused. "The wheel chooses a world of vampires and witches, of family bonds and ancient power. But perhaps..." Truth paused dramatically, "perhaps we should add another layer to this tapestry. The world of Underworld shall merge with your chosen destiny. After all, what is power without complexity?"

Before Christian could respond, another wheel appeared, this one bearing names and powers from across different realities. Again he spun, and again the result seemed more destined than random as it landed on Cole Turner.

"The powers of Belthazor," Truth's voice carried a note of approval. "A fitting choice for one who will bridge multiple supernatural bloodlines. But let us discuss exactly what this means for your new existence."

Truth waved its hand, and the void around them shifted, filling with ethereal images that illustrated its words. "You shall be born as Magnus Mikaelson, eldest son of Mikael and Esther. But you will be more than just a future Original Vampire. Within you shall rest the power of three supernatural bloodlines – vampire, witch, and demon."

The air around them filled with symbols and patterns, forming complex magical diagrams. "The demon powers of Cole Turner will be woven into your very essence. Not merely copied, but truly integrated into your being. These powers will pass through your bloodline, making you the progenitor of a new supernatural species."

Truth began to circle Christian, its movement leaving traces of energy in the air. "Your magic will be unique – a fusion of traditional witchcraft, demonic power, and vampire abilities. The energy balls you command will carry both demonic force and magical essence. Your telekinesis will exceed that of ordinary witches. Your ability to shimmer through space will be enhanced by vampire speed."

The entity paused, its expression growing more serious. "But power requires balance. The strength of three supernatural bloodlines will make you formidable, but not invincible. The white oak stake will still pose a mortal threat. Powerful enemies will still be able to challenge you. Your greatest strength will not be your powers, but how you choose to use them."

Christian absorbed this information with the focused attention of a trained warrior. "And my knowledge of future events?"

"Will be both blessing and curse," Truth replied. "You know what may come, but your very presence will alter the flow of events. Use this knowledge wisely, but do not rely on it blindly. The future is not set in stone."

Truth's smile returned, somehow more enigmatic than before. "Now, shall we discuss the specifics of your powers? The way demon abilities will manifest alongside vampire strengths? The unique properties of your hybrid magic? The prophecy that will explain your existence to others?"

The void around them shifted again, preparing to delve deeper into the complexities of Magnus Mikaelson's future existence. The true scope of what he would become was only beginning to unfold.
