"Damn! I guess I'm finally at the same level as those geniuses, huh…" - Shun said, his tone filled with both surprise and a bit of emotion. Things still didn't feel real to him.
Even though he had improved significantly during the year he had the system, Shun had spent most of the time training, and because of that, he hadn't quite adjusted to this new reality.
Of course, these stats were important to Shun, but they didn't mean everything. The true proof that all his hard work had paid off was still to come, and Shun knew it wouldn't be easy to achieve. The Kanto tournament trophy, the mission Shun wanted to fulfill the most.
Shun reviewed all the changes in the system menu, besides his new skills and the improvement of his potential, his stats and overall rating had also improved.
But two points really caught Shun's attention. First, after completing the missions, he had gathered more than enough coins to upgrade the system. Even though Shun wanted to upgrade it immediately to see what changes would come this time, he held back.
With several elimination games coming up in the next few days, Shun decided to wait until the summer tournaments were over before upgrading the system.
The second thing that caught Shun's attention was the change in his quirk, from Break I to Break Max. Shun quickly connected this change to the functions of his new fingers.
The boy then opened his missions. After receiving the rewards yesterday, Shun had gone straight to check them, so he still had to see what the next mission would be.

"Looks like I don't have to worry about this for now…" - Shun looked at the mission requirements and sighed with relief. Even though none of the tasks were easy, at least he wouldn't have to throw 100 pitches and take 500 swings every day.
It's not like Shun was going to stop training, but it was really exhausting having to meet so many daily pitching and swing requirements. Shun then got out of the shower and quickly put on his school uniform, paying extra attention as he packed his things in his bag, making sure he didn't forget anything for the game later that afternoon.
Shun went downstairs quickly, knowing his father was traveling with the team today, so he only expected to see his mother and sisters in the kitchen. But when Shun got to the kitchen, he was surprised.
"Nooooooo! I don't want to go!" - Shun saw his little sister Yumi screaming and crying, clearly upset about something. Shun was surprised because the girl usually didn't act like this, so he was worried that something had happened.
"Bro!" - But before Shun could do anything, Yumi ran toward him, calling out for him. The little girl quickly jumped into her brother's arms, hugging him tightly.
"Hey Yumi, what's wrong?" - Shun asked, concerned, as he hugged the little girl back and patted her head gently.
"Mommy won't let me watch your game!" - Yumi looked at Shun with tear-filled eyes, melting his heart.
"Yumi, I already told you, you can't skip school." - Aiko said calmly, clearly tired of trying to reason with the little girl. But she couldn't really be mad at Yumi, knowing that the only reason for her tantrum was that she wanted to watch her older brother play.
"I don't care! I'm going to watch Bro!" - Yumi said stubbornly as she hugged Shun even tighter.
"Pft!" - Shun let out a small laugh at the sight. He ruffled his little sister's hair before setting her down and saying:
"Yumi, don't worry, your brother is going to play many more games. The most important matches of the championship are on the weekends, so you'll be able to see all of them!" - Shun said with a smile while messing up his little sister's hair again.
"Besides, I promise I'll make a bunch of amazing plays just for you when you come!" - Shun added with a confident smile.
"You promise?" - Yumi whispered, looking up at Shun.
"Of course!" - Shun nodded firmly.
"Then I'll cheer even harder when I go!" - Yumi said determinedly.
"Hahaha, alright! I'm counting on you!" - Shun smiled as he hugged his little sister again and led her to the table for breakfast. Without realizing it, Shun's anxiety had eased a lot after seeing his sister's smile.
Shun then ate breakfast while chatting animatedly with his mother and sisters.
"Good luck, Shun!" - Mika said with a smile before heading out to go to her school.
"Good luck, Bro! Go get 'em!" - Little Yumi gave Shun a tight hug before getting into the car with their mother.
"Good luck, son! Do your best!" - Finally, Aiko gave her son a hug and smiled before getting into the car to drive Yumi to school.
"Thanks!" - Shun thanked them with a smile as he walked excitedly toward Shoto Junior High School.
"Tokyo Tournament, here we go again!" - Shun shouted excitedly in the empty street. The time had finally come.
