Chapter 7
Kyle and Catherine had been conversing inside for more than 30 minutes.
Sebastian and I were quietly waiting for them to come out.
Honestly, it was boring, but as a servant, waiting was part of daily life.
Just today, I had already waited outside for Catherine’s arrival.
Compared to waiting outside, waiting inside was better in every way.
No, it was better in every way except for one thing.
While waiting for Catherine, I waited with other servants, but now Sebastian, who was neither friendly nor likable, was standing next to me.
Because of that, I couldn’t even relax my posture.
“Sebastian?”
As we waited, Catherine came out of the reception room first.
Following her, Kyle came out with a somewhat strange expression.
His expression was definitely different from when he went in.
When he went in, he had a slightly puzzled expression, but now something was off.
What conversation did they have inside that made Kyle’s face look like that?
“Where is my room?”
“I will guide you.”
For now, I decided to guide Catherine.
It was a bit disappointing to delay the conversation with Kyle, but it would be fine to postpone it a little.
We passed through the corridor from the reception room, went past the stairs, and through another corridor.
“You can stay here. Maids are always walking through the corridors, so if you have any inconveniences or needs, please tell them.”
“Yes, Sofia.”
So Catherine knows my name too.
Both Sebastian and Catherine know my name. Why do they know the name of a mere tutor?
“Sebastian, are all the luggage organized?”
“Yes. I instructed the other servants to move your luggage to the room separately.”
“Hmm.. I see. Sebastian, please rest as you see fit.”
“Yes.”
With those words, Catherine went into the room.
It wasn’t as large and luxurious as Kyle’s room, but it was sufficient for staying, so it should be fine.
For meals, the maids would call her, and there was nothing special that Kyle and I needed to do for her.
As soon as Catherine entered her room, I walked straight to where Kyle might be, without any conversation with Sebastian.
Kyle, who would have been uncomfortable wearing the coat, was probably changing clothes in his room.
After living together for years, I could understand his personality.
Kyle… disliked dressing up.
Despite having comfortable clothes, he was uncomfortable wearing pants that didn’t stretch, and he disliked accessories that hindered movement.
If he received accessories as gifts, he preferred necklaces or rings.
For accessories attached to clothes, he would just store them away, saying they were uncomfortable when moving.
“Young Master, I’m coming in.”
“Wait a moㅁ..!”
When I opened Kyle’s door and entered, I saw Kyle putting on his upper garment.
Is he embarrassed?
After all, I’m not a proper woman.
It’s not the first time I’ve seen Kyle’s bare body, I’ve seen it numerous times over the 3 years, so there was no need to be surprised by this.
“Let’s change quickly. The son of the Eristirol ducal family shouldn’t be someone who doesn’t dress properly.”
“…”
Kyle moved his body again as I said, which had momentarily stopped.
Perhaps because someone was in front of him, he moved faster.
“Young Master, what did you discuss with Lady Oldenburg inside?”
“Um… nothing special.”
“I see.”
Since they talked for about 30 minutes, it probably wasn’t a serious conversation.
Our relationship isn’t distant enough for him to stay silent if they had a serious discussion.
Kyle’s face seems a bit red, but it’s probably nothing significant.
“I’ve shown Lady Oldenburg to her room. Is there anything else you want me to do for her?”
“Hmm.. let’s just let her be until Lady Oldenburg says something.”
“Yes.”
“We haven’t exercised yet today, have we, Miss Sofia?”
“No.”
“Since the conversation with Lady Oldenburg is over, let’s go outside.”
“Yes.”
So Kyle’s reason for changing clothes wasn’t just because of discomfort.
As always, Kyle and I started exercising in an area where knights weren’t training.
I don’t know if it’s because this is a fantasy world or if Kyle is naturally physically gifted, but it was truly unbelievable.
He could probably run 3km easily in under 10 minutes.
And if he used mana, he would clearly complete it even faster.
“Phew….”
I spent time watching Kyle exercise beside me.
To be honest, I wonder if I need to be by his side anymore, but as his personal servant, I had to stay with him.
After watching Kyle exercise for years, it’s becoming boring….
“Young Master, have you considered learning either swordsmanship or magic?”
“That topic again?”
“Yes.”
I asked again to Kyle, who was holding dumbbells.
He’s no longer twelve but fifteen.
Kyle is now at an age where he should learn at least one of the two.
Although the Duke hasn’t left any further messages about this, in my opinion, he should start within this year.
I’ve heard that before becoming the head of the family, one must go hunting directly, so he needs to build up some skill.
“….”
“Couldn’t you teach me, Miss Sofia?”
“No.”
No matter how much I’m a tutor, I can’t directly teach swordsmanship to a ducal family’s child.
The sword I used wasn’t noble-like at all, and it was barely even appropriate to call what I did swordsmanship.
It was really just a sword for hunting monsters and blocking attacks.
If Kyle learned such swordsmanship, he would only be ridiculed.
People would say, “How is that a noble?”
Magic is also impossible.
With no talent for magic, I can’t teach it at all.
Looking at it this way, I don’t understand why I was chosen as a tutor.
My swordsmanship isn’t proper, I can’t use magic, why was I really chosen?
I was chosen because young Kyle approved… but thinking about it now, I seem useless.
“Then let’s try learning as Miss Sofia suggests.”
Kyle finally decided to learn.
Something I’ve been saying for years, finally!
He finally decided!
I was honestly so happy I almost jumped around, but I held back as much as possible.
After all, I’m a personal servant, and a personal servant shouldn’t run around so frivolously, so I suppressed the urge to jump around.
“Then I’ll contact the magic tower. For swordsmanship… I’ll find something separately.”
I need to properly visit the Eristirol knighthood.
Until now, there hasn’t been a particular reason to go, but now it’s different.
“Phew…”
And Kyle continued exercising.
With his current physique, there should be no problem when learning swordsmanship.
I’m a bit worried about flexibility… but I can help with the lacking areas.
For years, I’ve been creating Kyle’s exercise routine.
Since Kyle said he wasn’t learning swordsmanship, I focused the exercises mainly on stamina and strength.
But now it’s different!
Since he said he’ll learn swordsmanship, it’s good to start adapting his body accordingly.
“Hmm…”
By the way, contacting the magic tower is something I haven’t done in a long time.
It might not be bad to contact that person I knew when I was working as an adventurer.
That crazy woman who graduated from magic school but didn’t work at the magic tower and worked as an adventurer instead.
Honestly, I don’t know why she went through hardship unnecessarily… but with her graduation from magic school and the skills I saw during my adventurer days, I think she wouldn’t be bad as an instructor.
She said she was going to enter the magic tower and rest a bit at the end, so they’ll probably contact her if I mention her name to the tower.
“Young Master, let’s finish here for today. It’s cold.”
“Yes.”
“Young Master, please come over here for a moment.”
Kyle sweated a lot in the cold weather.
Even with Kyle’s incredibly good physique, he might catch a cold.
There’s a towel nearby, so there’s no need to leave the sweat on his body until we go inside.
“I’ll wipe the sweat for you.”
I wiped the sweat off Kyle’s body.
Even while massaging, I could feel it—truly a perfect physique.
It’s amazing that this is the physique of a fifteen-year-old.
“…..”
While wiping, I admired Kyle’s latissimus dorsi, deltoid, and erector spinae muscles as he sat.
If I had a body like this, I would probably have been playing around wildly with women….
How can someone with a body like this not be interested in women?
And it’s also surprising that despite having been assaulted by a man in the past, he’s rather not interested in women.
Still, now that Catherine has come, won’t something change?
Although he said he had no connection with Catherine, Catherine’s appearance is very beautiful.
I think I’m quite pretty too, but it’s unfair to compare with a fifteen-year-old.
Now that I’m over twenty, comparing myself to a fifteen-year-old is too ugly.
A beautiful blonde lady and a handsome white-haired young lord.
Not a bad combination.
In the web novels I used to read, I disliked when an ugly or ordinary protagonist was paired with a beautiful heroine.
Good-looking and beautiful people should date people of their level.
Like Kyle and Catherine now.
“Young Master.”
“Yes.”
“What do you think about Lady Oldenburg?”
“Hmm..”
Kyle falls into contemplation.
After all, having only conversed for about 30 minutes, he probably can’t make an accurate assessment.
I don’t expect a perfect evaluation of Catherine based on just those 30 minutes.
I was just a bit curious about how Kyle felt about Catherine.
“She seems like a good person. At least, she wasn’t a bad person.”
“I see.”
At least he doesn’t have negative feelings toward Catherine.
That’s a relief.
How can I match them well to open Kyle’s closed heart?
Still fifteen.
A very young age, but not extremely young for a noble.
I should start preparing slowly from now.
