The New Lincoln Loud

Chapter 3: Cap 3

At the end of the Math class, my math skill had gone up 1 more level, reaching level 27!

For the first time in my life, I was not happy to hear the bell ringing that the class was over and I had to go to the next class, I would have liked to spend more time studying math, something I never thought I would say.

When I got to biology class, I did the same as in the last class and went straight to the seats in the last row.

as in the previous class I also received the biology skill, but the biology skill was Lv 31, as it was a subject that interested me in my past life.

At the end of the lesson I had not managed to raise any Lv thanks to the fact that I already had all the knowledge they taught in this grade, on the other hand mathematics I was able to manage to raise Lv as there were some little things that escaped me, something natural as it was my weakest subject.

the next lesson was English, which was the same as the last two, then physics, which was also the same,

when break came, I arrived at the school cafeteria, not wanting to talk to anyone, I just grabbed my lunch and sat at the table furthest away from the crowd while reading on my phone about the singing and instrument training I could practice.

Trying out some humming to practice my voice, the message I was waiting for finally arrived

[Singing Lv1

effect:+1% efficiency when practicing singing, +1% that whoever hears your voice while singing likes what he hears].

Great, it also improves the speed at which I improve the skill itself, but it also improves the quality of my singing, so people will enjoy my singing more easily,! I thought enthusiastically as I continued to practice humming with my mouth.

Once you had the skill it would become much easier to get better at it even if you didn't level up, which would improve the practice technique and accelerate the speed of leveling up.

I went back to my singing practice with more excitement until I felt something hit my back.

I grabbed what hit my back and saw what it was, a ball of paper, looked in the direction it was thrown from and saw the little shit smiling at me.

"Sorry, I was aiming for the trash can" he said as he laughed with his friends.

if it was the old Lincoln, I would probably just stop it, but I knew what that would do, those little shits would see that I don't defend myself and they would get bolder with their actions, until they reached a point of no return.

I've made that mistake in the past, and I won't make it again.

Getting up from my chair, I looked at the little shit who threw the paper ball at me and smiled at him as I approached him with the paper ball in my hand.

He laughed even harder as he thought I was stupid enough to throw the ball back at him after he threw it at me.

To his surprise and that of his friends, when I got close enough, with my free hand I grabbed his neck and squeezed it hard.

He tried to scream in surprise, but as soon as he opened his mouth, I introduced the ball of paper he threw into his mouth, even sinking it with my fingers, my fingers got soaked with his saliva but I didn't care, as I let go of his neck and put my hand on the back of his head.

With all the strength I could muster in one hand, I smashed his face into the tray that held his food.

when his friends realized what was happening, they got up to try to attack me, but before they could get to me, I picked up the boy with my arms and threw him in their direction, as I started to walk away.

"throw me another ball and I'll shove it so deep up your ass that even your boyfriend won't be able to get it out... "I said in a cold voice as I walked away from them.

their friends wanted to chase me down to beat me up but when they saw that I wasn't afraid of them at all they cowered and went to help their leader up.

"Loud, just wait and see if I don't kill you..... he said in a hoarse and angry voice thanks to the paper ball I had stuffed down his throat, with the help of his friends he walked out of the cafeteria, extremely angry at the humiliation by someone he considered 'weak'.

I knew he would try to retaliate, but I didn't care, I could hit him harder next time, knowing it was a four on one, I knew it was stupid to try anything here.

But considering how quickly I would learn fighting techniques thanks to the system,

depending on how quickly they came for revenge, I could beat them with my bare hands, but if I was too early, I wouldn't mind carrying a bat in my backpack.

I never really cared about honesty and honor in a fight if I was the last one standing, it was all worth it to me.

Ignoring the hundreds of eyes on me, I went back to my lunch while practicing my singing.

Surprisingly only 10 minutes later my singing skill had risen to Lv2.

I guess it stands to reason that the lower the level the easier it is to level up, I thought as I remembered all the novels I had read in my past life.

----------------------Lynn comment--------------------

Since her brother had started the school year, Lynn, a year older than Lincoln, had yet to see him being bullied.

Lynn sat on the couch with a shocked expression on her face.

"Ever since my brother started at this school, I've heard that my brother was bullied by his classmates, but I've never seen it happen" she said with a bit of sadness, "today was the first time I saw it happen, but I didn't imagine that Lincoln would act that way."

Looking around, Lynn commented "if he reacts like that when he gets bullied, how come they have had the courage to bully him for so long? aren't they afraid to die? I really thought he was going to beat that kid up" she broke into a smile.

he broke into a smile "although I have to admit that when he acts like that he's a lot cooler, I didn't think I saw that side of the shy Lincoln we know".

------------------------Comment End-------------------------------

When I went back to my classes, people stayed even further away from me, which was actually more pleasant than usual, it gave me more time to study and practice on my own, taking advantage of as much time as possible.

I figured they would call me to the principal to talk about what had happened at lunch, but maybe they knew what had happened with old Lincoln, and now that I had simply stood up for myself, they just let it go.

What a crappy school, I thought mentally as I realized how mediocre this school was.

Considering that we lived in the farthest suburbs of the city, it wasn't strange.

On the way home, I noticed that Lynn looked at me in a different way, as if she had more respect for me after what happened at school.

luckily she didn't tell our mother anything about it, because it would be too upsetting to deal with the lecture my mother would give me when she heard about her son being involved in a fight at school.

When I got home the first thing I heard was Lana's request.

"Lincoln, you promised you would cut my hair, come on, come on, cut my hair now" he said excitedly as he pranced around me.

"Smiling at him, he nodded as he looked at my mother. "what do you say, can you help me?"

"wait, I'll get the scissors" she said as she ran to her room to find the safest scissors so they wouldn't hurt Lana.

Lori looked at me in surprise, but seemed to understand what I was doing.

Instead of telling my mother to do it, I just asked her if she wanted to help, which calmed part of her personality.

This was going to be the first time I cut someone else's hair, which was surprisingly easier than doing it with myself, as I had much more control over where my hands went, something that is easier when you are not in the wind.

in a matter of minutes lana's hair was completely transformed,

since lana didn't like things too feminine, I simply trimmed her hair to match her lips and thinned it a bit, kept her two ponytails, and there was no denying that she looked much better than before,

and Lana seemed to like it too, so I was happy with the result.

"go take a shower, I'll help you with your homework when you're done" I said as I patted her head.

Lana's eyes lit up when she heard that, because she knew it would be much easier to do her homework with someone else, the problem was that no one had the patience to teach her besides our father, who took a long time to come home.

"Yeaah" Lana yelled as she ran up the stairs and into the bathroom to take a shower and clean the cut hair on her head.

As Lana showered, I went into my room and looked at Lincoln's comic book collection.

I didn't like these things anymore and they would just collect dust in my room, so I could sell them and earn some money, to buy a guitar and a microphone, although I doubt I could buy both.

The guitar was the only instrument I was familiar with in my past life, so if I learned its skill I would already be at a higher level, which would leave me more time to practice my singing.

So while Lana showered, I grabbed a box and started putting all my comics away.

Since I finished quickly, I used the rest of the time to finish my homework, which was very easy, since they were topics I had memorized in my head.

I even got an extra level of math.

When Lana came into my room, I had already finished my homework, and I helped her with hers, explaining clearly and patiently.

.....

[Teach Lv1]

.....

[Teaching Lv4]

By the time I finished helping Lana with her homework, almost an hour had passed, Fortunately, the higher the skill level, the faster Lana learned what I was explaining and the easier it became to solve her homework.

Even though it was only 4%, it was a teaching method more compatible with Lana than the ineffective teaching the others were using with her.

-----------------------Lana comment-----------------------

Sitting on the couch with a big smile on her face, Lana looked at the camera as she happily held up her supercar notebook.

"Today my brother helped me with my homework.... It was so easy!" she laughed happily as she showed her open notebook to the camera. "It's so easy to understand when he teaches me, I feel super smart!"

Lana looked around and spoke softly "just don't tell daddy I said that, daddy is great too it's just not as easy as learning from Lincoln."

--------------------comment End-------------------------------

After Lana went to play in the yard, I took the box I had put my comics in and went to sell them.

--------

"why sell your comics?" my mother asked confused.

"I want a guitar" I said good naturedly, I didn't care much for these comics since I didn't like them anymore anyway.

Not to mention that I could look them up online in case I ever felt like it.

But my mother felt differently, "you know we can buy a guitar right? and why don't you borrow luna's guitar?"

At how he looked, I knew he was thinking about what he could not afford to buy to get me a guitar, but I knew we were in the red at home, especially after seeing my dad worried about the bills this morning, so I just shook my head and replied "it's okay, I've already read them anyway and reading them again is no fun, it's a waste of money to have them collecting dust in my room".

she realized she had noticed how I was acting, so she nodded and smiled with a little embarrassment.

----------------Rita's comment-----------------------

Sitting on the couch with her head down, Rita looked at the camera as she sighed "I think Lincoln has realized that we are having financial problems, Lynn is looking for a better job, but even though he is a great stock assistant. the company he works for has no plans to promote him..."

With a disapproving smile, Rita looked at the camera as she sighed "she's only doing this because I can't work, the baby is on the way and my husband insisted that I stay home even if Nasca is several months away...and I don't know anything about working from home..."

"I'm just waiting for Lynn to get a better job" she sighed disappointed in herself.

------------Comment End--------------------------

Negotiating the price of comics rewarded me with a new skill.

[Negotiate Lv4

when you negotiate the price of something, you have +4% more chances to convince the other person to accept your price].

yep, the skill at lv4 because of the time I was negotiating with the buyer. until I was able to get $155 for my entire comic collection,

that was way more than i expected, apparently i had some rare ones with me, which made me very happy.

With money in hand, I went straight to a used instrument store and asked for one of the cheapest guitars they had.

Looking at the faded guitar in front of me, which the clerk said $46, I gained another level in my [Negotiate] skill, raising it to Lv5, and managed to buy the guitar+ a pair of strings for it, and a capo and cover for $50.

As soon as I played the guitar strings a bit, I quickly gained a skill.

[Guitar Lv16

By playing guitar, you learn +16% faster and have a +16% chance that other people will like to hear you play].

I also bought an $88 microphone, a bargain considering its quality, I thought with satisfaction as I walked out of the store with my new guitar on my back and my microphone in my hands.

With my skill at Lv16, the level was already acceptable as I could play some songs from my previous life, but it was nothing impressive and I still made several mistakes.

So as a goal to raise my [Guitar] and [Singing] skill up to level 20, as proto as I achieved it, I would raise one of my songs to metube.

With a plan in mind, I returned home satisfied.

As soon as I got home, my mother and sisters looked at me in surprise.

My mother never thought I would actually buy a guitar, and my sisters were curious about the big case on my back.

When I took the guitar out of the case, Lana was surprised to look at it and asked me to play something, while my mother had a sad look on her face, probably noticing the age of the guitar she had bought.

At Lana's request, I played a riff I learned in my past life, one that was quite iconic for being the main theme of one of the most famous heroes of the era.

Of course, this was the first riff I learned to play, and I was quite familiar with it, so I wasn't embarrassed in front of my younger sister.

When Lana heard the riff I could see her eyes sparkle as she watched my fingers move across the guitar strings, even Lori lifted her eyes from her phone for a moment.

I could even see my mother's surprise as she watched me play the riff with such mastery.

normally you would see luna playing in her room, but she was practicing with her band and wasn't at home, or she would probably be the most excited to see someone sharing her tastes.

many of my sisters were not home, with only the younger sisters being present except Lucy, and none of the older sisters were there except Lori, who seemed to be having a heated discussion on the phone.

So only Lana was paying attention to me and Lori looked up from her phone from time to time.

"Lincoln, where did you learn to do that?" she asked in shock, not knowing that her son could play the guitar so well, and she had never seen Luna teaching him.

"The salesman taught me some tricks to prove how good the guitar was" I lied, making up a reason on the spot.

But that made my mother even more surprised that I had never played a guitar in my life, and here I was playing with such ease, even my sisters looked at me in surprise.

When I finished, Lana asked me to play something else, but I pretended I only knew one song, but I promised her that as soon as I learned another one, I would play it for her, which made her very happy and satisfied, even though she couldn't hear it now.

I went up to my room, looked up guitar practice on my computer and practiced my guitar while singing softly.

Within an hour of practice my skill had risen to level 18, and my singing skill was now at level 7.

Suddenly I realized something,

even though I had run in the morning until I almost passed out, I didn't feel any fatigue at all.

The system has something to do with it' I thought, could I use it to train this body even more?

since it was already dark and even though the neighborhood we lived in was relatively 'safe' I wouldn't risk going out at this time, so I decided to go out and workout in the backyard.

Since I didn't have any weights with me at the moment, I looked up some exercises on the internet with my own body weight,

putting on some workout clothes, I went out to the small backyard without attracting too much attention and started my workout.

I warmed up my body a bit and stretched for 5 minutes, as it would be dangerous to train my skinny body without warming up first.

I then did 3 sets of push-ups against the wall because I couldn't bear to do them against the floor with my current strength, bench squats, calf raises and 3 sets of crunches.

It may sound easy, but my body was already screaming when I finished my first set.

When I finished my last abdominal, I got another skill!

[Skill: body training Lv1

Effect: when you train, your muscles develop +1% faster and your body tires 1% slower].

When I saw that body training was synchronized with aerobic training, I was very excited that this would make me gain muscle much more easily than I had imagined.

When I returned home, my mother was once again surprised to see me as sweaty as I was.

"Lincoln...are you okay?" she asked with concern, especially after seeing me act different than my 'self' during the day.

Looking at her genuinely concerned face, even though she had annoyed me a bit this morning with her overexcitement, I couldn't be mad at someone who only wanted what was best for me.

Showing her a slight smile, I explained "I am dissatisfied with my body and I have started to exercise, this morning I went for a walk, now I just did a few exercises in the yard, I didn't overload myself, don't worry mom".

Seeing the relief on her face, my appreciation for her went up even more.

Nobody had ever cared about me and my life.... was a nice feeling.

When I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror again, I was surprised to see another change in myself.

My face became a little prettier, barely noticeable to the eye but you could tell if you paid attention, and I had apparently gained some muscle.

When I stepped on the scale, I was surprised to see that my weight had gone up a little.

from the 38 kg I weighed this morning, I had gained 0.8 kg in total, I was now 38.8 kg.

I'm gaining muscle faster than I thought! I thought excitedly as I showered and practiced my singing ability, raising it by 1 level.

When I got out of the Shower I was surprised to see my father and mother looking at me with pride.

my mother must have told her I was practicing and my father must have told her he saw me out for a walk in the morning.

ignoring them, since I didn't know how to deal with them, I went back to my room and started practicing my skills again, looking for other skills on the computer that would be useful for me to earn money fast.

Considering that I needed money to register and copyright the songs I planned to release, I remembered an old skill I had as the old Lincoln.

As I searched my mind I looked at all the drawings I had created in my past life, and although they were not masterpieces, many people said that I had a great drawing, especially considering that I did them with the computer and not with a drawing tablet.

I decided to try something similar and started drawing with the touch screen of my computer,

I decided to draw Saber from Fate

As soon as I finished the drawing, I received the notification that I was waiting for.

[Illustration Lv28

illustration gift, you get 28% faster and 28% of people liking your art].

Level 27! I was surprised when I looked at this, this was a skill which I thought was bad, but the one of my highest level skills I currently had, surpassed only by biology which was at level 32.

There, now I knew what I had to do to earn easy money, if there was one thing I remember from my past life, it is how some artists earn a lot of money making commissions.

I decided to create a Birdie account, the Twitter of this world, and I used Saber's drawing as my profile picture.

So I created the persona, @Saber_servant, something that probably only I would understand in this world, since Fate doesn't exist in this world.

While writing an ad, I realized that I lacked a portfolio to convince the public to buy my art.

Anyway, I will post the announcement with only my Saber drawing as a wallet, then I could take my time to create more, I thought without worrying too much as I posted.

I saw that the otaku community was much smaller than in my previous life, as if it was just in its early stages, even though I didn't consider myself an otaku, I knew quite a bit about that underworld, and the anime style was very easy for me to draw.

Seeing that all the lights in the house were off, I turned off my computer and went to sleep.

Unbeknownst to me, as soon as I closed my eyes, a message arrived in my inbox from someone interested in one of my artworks.
