Chapter 13: Dragon Aura

As the young boy delved into the manual, outside the palace, a handsome and valiant man and an incredibly beautiful woman stood together, both gazing at the distant void, resembling an immortal couple.

"Sister Miao, you've been staying here for the past five years. Is your father not aware of your presence here?" The man asked gently.

"I don't know. When I left the clan, I made sure not to leave any trace as to where I went. However, over the last few years, I've made quite a reputation in the southern desolate continent. Although factions of the central heaven continent generally don't pay much attention to other continents, my father will definitely do so, for he knows I wouldn't stay there." She sighed gently.

"In any case, my father just wants me to eventually take his position, but he is not yet ready to abdicate his role. So, he won't really look for me too much."

"What about you, Brother Long? You've also been teaching here for the last five years. Since you're the last disciple of Senior Nine Dragons, a lot of influences from the central heaven continent are looking for you to oversee the Nine Dragons Immortal Art, Senior Nine Dragons' inheritance he left for you before disappearing from the world."

"Sigh... Master really left a hot potato in my hands. He told me to find someone worthy of teaching the art too, saying that person will appear here in the southern desolate and then disappeared, not even allowing me to view it myself. He only taught me the True Dragon Nine Stances, which he found together with the Immortal Art in the True Dragon Cave." The handsome man couldn't help but helplessly sigh as a black line covered his forehead.

"Why don't you learn it as well? I don't think Senior Nine Dragons would mind." Looking at him with a confused expression, she couldn't help but inquire.

"Though people call him Daoist Nine Dragon, they don't know he never actually learned the immortal art; just like me, he only learned the True Dragon Nine Stances. He said that the technique requires some destiny with it, and the predestined person would eventually appear. Only in this person's hands could the art flourish. I've actually tried reading it before, but I only saw some pictures and characters; the majority of the scripture is unreadable for me. It was the same for my master. However, what we saw was enough to completely shock us at the might of this martial art and the power of the being that created it. Thankfully, it seems no one else but the chosen one can see its full content."

"Oh. Do you have any idea who this predestined person might be?" Nodding in understanding, the peerless woman gently stroked her long silver-pink hair.

"Before today, I would've still been clueless, but I have a hunch that it's one of the three kids that joined today. All of them have passed the Houtian Tribulation. Of course, that, in itself, is not enough, as there are still many such kids within the southern desolate continent. You probably noticed those kids all have a peculiar air about them that just passing the Houtian Tribulation wouldn't give. They are probably much stronger than kids who also passed the Houtian Tribulation at the same stage. As you probably figured out today, at least for the purple-haired kid." A sharp expression carved his face as Teacher Long spoke about the three boys.

"Hmm. That boy is amongst the most talented I've seen, to an extent where I can't accurately gauge him. From the strength he showed yesterday after activating his bloodline and innate divine might, his strength at the peak of Houtian Foundation was equivalent to an early-stage Elemental Resonance cultivator. It's a bit outrageous. He should be even stronger now that he broke through to Xiantian Reconstruction.

Having further awakened his bloodline, he probably gained mid-level innate divine strength, gaining around forty thousand pounds worth of strength while only at the first stage, plus the additional ten thousand pounds. He's invincible below the Extreme stages, and if he activates his bloodline, he'll be able to fight stages one to three of Elemental Resonance.

As for the other two, the one that was most silent, he gives me a familiar aura, as if I've seen him before. He can also sense a powerful bloodline from him. He shouldn't be much weaker than the purple-haired kid.

The sleeping one, however, is even harder to read; he doesn't seem to have awakened a bloodline yet, but when I tried to enter his Dantian, something of horrible power blocked me. He gives me a more profound feeling than even the purple kid. Furthermore, when I sealed the dan energy in his heart, I saw two beads covered in foreign inscriptions inside. My guess is it's a bloodline seal."

Furrowing her brows lightly thinking back to the situation today, the beauty says, "They're truly an interesting bunch."

"Hmm." the serene man nods in agreement.

"I look forward to seeing how they grow in the next few years. I sense turmoil on the horizon for the southern desolate continent. They may be central figures in the times to come. As for those curious people who want to get the Nine Dragon Immortal Art, they will give up eventually, and if they don't, I won't mind teaching them a lesson or two." Saying that, a dazzling green aura flickered in his eyes as azure scales appeared below his eye corners. An incredibly domineering aura emanated from him, shaking the peak of the mountain, terrifying all the beasts in the surrounding area.

Back inside the sleeping room, all three boys were now sleeping, including Raizel, when a crimson light shone above one of the boys' chests.

A high-pitched noise was heard as if the seal of something broke. As the crimson light shone, the void surrounding it began to shake, as a sky-toppling might perfused the atmosphere.

"Roarrrr." A faint dragon roar could be heard surrounding the crimson aura.

Weirdly enough, it was as if the other two boys couldn't hear it as they slept soundly still.

This scene lasted for only ten seconds before stopping.

Back in the courtyard, the moment the crimson aura appeared, the two powerful cultivators immediately sensed it.

"Hmmm!?" The mighty-looking Teacher Long diffused his aura, making the scales in his eye corner slowly retract as he sensed a similar natured energy from the boys' direction.

"Sister Miao, did you sense that?"

"I did. What a terrible power. We should go check on them to make sure nothing bad happened."

"Yes."

With a flash, the immortal-like couple disappeared from their position before appearing in the room where the boys lay asleep.

Nothing unusual could be seen, only a crimson flash that disappeared as they arrived.

Walking toward the source of the flash, they stood before the boy still asleep, unaware of what just happened.

"Brother Long, that aura was…?" A grave expression on her face, the peerless woman looked at the sleeping boy before turning towards the man beside her.

"Yes. It was draconic aura. The most powerful I have ever felt. I sensed faint suppression from it."

"How is that possible? Your Azure dragon bloodline is one of the most powerful dragon bloodline in the true martial great world." Visibly shaken, the woman stared in shock

"I... I don't know. That draconic aura was very unfamiliar; were it not for the bloodline suppression I felt, I wouldn't have known it was a dragon bloodline. Its rank should be at least a whole stage above mine." Slightly stumbling on his words, the man was also completely shaken.

"It's probably not a bloodline of this world…" adding this, the man deeply looked at the boy, who was sound asleep. The silver-purple moonlight passed through the windows, landing on his young face.

"Why now?" A bit confused at the timing, the silver-haired beauty couldn't help but ask.

"I believe it's my fault." The man said softly.

"What do you mean?"

"I believe his sealed or dormant bloodline moved because of me, after sensing my dragon aura." He explained calmly, extending his hand and placing it on the boy's chest.

Furrowing his brows, the man focused his mind on the boy's heart region, sending his perception inside.

He saw the two beads the beauty mentioned before, there was one yellow and one crimson.

"Hm? That's..." After seeing what he wanted to see, he took his hands off Kaelen's chest.

"The seal in one of the beads was partially broken, but not much, allowing that small amount of aura to slip out. Those beads seem to be highly condensed blood essence. This boy managed to reach peak Houtian and last extreme layers with most, if not all, of his blood essence sealed. Someone in his situation would have a hard time moving around, yet he has such a strong physique and Qi. What type of monster is this?" Shocked once more, the man couldn't wrap his head around the facts.

"I believe part of the blood essence was diluted into his body to maintain some of his talent. You've really received good disciples this time. That eccentric headmaster will be thrilled." Chuckling softly, the beauty couldn't help but say.

"You're right. Let's go, leave them to their rest. I will come back tomorrow to take them to Ascending Dragon Mountain." Nodding in acknowledgment, the man stated as he walked toward the exit.

"Brother Long." Before he exited the room, the beauty called out.

"Hm?" He turned back.

"Do you know where Senior Nine Dragons went, and do you know if he'll come back?"

"Uhm... I believe he left the true martial great world." Hearing the question, the man seemed to contemplate for a bit before sharing his speculation. "However, I'm not sure exactly. He could be anywhere, to be honest. As for whether he'll appear again, who knows." Tilting his head to the side to convey his uncertainty, the man said before exiting the room.

Watching him leave, the woman took one last look at Kaelen before exiting as well.

….

The night passed

The sun shone on the purple mountain, birds sang their morning tunes.

Miao palace courtyard

"Kaeln, how are you feeling?" One of them asks.

"Pretty great, I didn't imagine all of that was happening while I was unconscious. I don't know why, this morning I felt more complete then yesterday, it's a weird feeling." Stretching his arms around, kaeln can't help but say.

"Hm… it might be because of the pill." Torin, the silent one was a bit more talkative today.

"No, I don't think so. It's more like something sleeping woke up, but it's very faint. Still, I feel a bit stronger than yesterday. As if I could lift a small mountain." Forming a fist with his right hand the boy's amber gold eyes shine with a vibrant color, his healthy light bronze skin glistening under the bright sun.

"Oh yea, Torin. What was that body refining secret method I saw Rai read this morning? Is it a powerful cultivation technique?"

"No nothing of the sort. It's a compendium of body refining secrets and methods. Razel is trying to learn one of them that reverses Xiantian reconstruction so he wont be weaker than you. By the way, how's that going Raizel?" Torin smiles as he looks at Raizel.

"I think I've got a hang of the secret method, but it says I'll need a massive amount of energy to do it, only pills with five inscriptions and above or heaven and earth treasures would work. I have none of these at the moment." He says helplessly, as he empties his pocket to convey his unfortunate situation.

"A secret method to forcibly reverse Xiantian refinement? Such a method exited?" A beautiful voice suddenly broke the cool atmosphere, as Elder Miao approached the trio.
