The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 196: Chapter 196

Ali sat down on his couch and opened the interface, scrolling through the long list of alerts and updates to see what new capabilities he had at his disposal.

"Congratulations on ascending to the Second Level of Reincarnation Paradise. As such, new features have now been unlocked for you:

Player Equipment: The player's armour and weapons will now be recognised as personal items, allowing them to be stored and summoned at will without taking up inventory space."

'That's great..' Ali thought as he looked down at his Desert Eagles, then willed them to be stored.

They vanished instantly, disappearing into thin air as if they had never been there.

'Now let's see...' Ali clicked on the equipment feature and saw the floating pair of Desert Eagles inside the interface, under the weapons section.

He thought about retrieving them and, in an instant, they materialised in his hands again, exactly as they had been before.

'There's no delay. This is a ridiculous power-up. I can walk anywhere without weapons on me and summon them the moment I need to. Even better, I won't have to carry every weapon I'm rewarded with on my waist.'

"Friends: Players can now add others to their friends list, allowing them to send messages through the interface if both are in the same world or in Paradise. Players can also send their exact location to a player on their friends list."

'Well, that's broken too. It's basically a telecommunication system!' Ali contemplated. 'But how does the location sharing work unless..'

His eyes shifted to the next alert.

"Map: Once a player enters a world, they will have access to a fogged-up map that gradually reveals itself as they explore. Friends can send their exact location through the map."

Ali leaned back on the couch, rubbing his chin as he processed the implications.

'Fuck me... On the Second Level, being solo is basically shooting yourself in the foot before stepping into any world. Teams just got exponentially stronger with these new features. Depending on the type of mission, they'll have an unfair advantage!'

He flicked his wrist, using the Force to lift his lightsaber from the couch and make it float around the room.

Ali never stopped training his telekinesis-every day, he refined his control, reducing the Spirit costs and increasing precision.

'If a mission is to find an object, a team of six can split up and cover six times the ground while staying connected through the map. Meanwhile, l'd be searching aimlessly while they coordinate in real-time. Even with all my abilities, I wouldn't be able to keep up if they're competent players!'

"Pick a time for your next world within the next month."

Ali raised an eyebrow at the unexpected flexibility.

'The Slum really was a fucking meat grinder. There, they threw players from world to world with no time to prepare. But here... they give us a month?'

Ali smirked, 'I only need a day!'

He selected the day after tomorrow for his next teleportation.

"I have a lot of things to do tomorrow..." he muttered, stretching as he stood up.

Ali walked up the stairs to his large bedroom, glancing at the king-sized bed and the bathroom off to the side. He briefly thought about adding his clothes to the equipment storage, but when he tried-nothing happened.

'Wait... it doesn't recognise them as equipment?' Ali clicked his tongue in mild disappointment.

Without another thought, he stripped off his clothes, tossing them onto the bed before stepping into the shower, letting the cold water run down his chiseled frame as steam filled the room.

In the underground base of the Guild of Death, Evelyn sat in a chair, crossing her long legs as she tapped her fingertips against her armrest, watching as the blonde woman in front of her finally put on her silk nightgown and sat on her bed with an annoyed expression.

"I don't have all night for you, Ciline. Get on with it."

Ciline sighed, stretching out her toned, bare legs as she tossed her damp blonde hair over her shoulder.

"Ugh, fine. Ever since you became Madam of the guild, you've been so fucking annoying, you know that?"

Evelyn smirked, bringing a long smoking pipe to her lips and inhaling deeply.

"And you're still the same horny bitch you were when we woke up in the Slum together."

Ciline rolled her eyes but said nothing. Instead, she laid back on her bed, closing her eyes as she prepared to use her ability.

"Spirit Form."

At that moment, Ciline's body went completely still, as if she had fallen into a deep coma.

Then—

A translucent version of herself emerged from her body, floating upward like a ghost.

Ciline's Spirit Form was a glowing gray and white version of herself-completely naked, her ethereal figure invisible. She turned to Evelyn, who could no longer see or hear her, and groaned slightly.

'This always makes me feel fucking nauseous when I get back!'

Without wasting any more time, she phased through the walls, her spirit flying through the underground tunnels before emerging into the night sky above Paradise.

She soared over hundreds of players, passing them unseen as she glided toward her target's location.

'What was it again...? Section AA, House... 3? No, House 1. Evelyn said 1'

Minutes later, she arrived outside the house.

She reached out, placing her ghostly hand against the wall, pressing forward as she slowly phased inside.

UGHHHHH-

A quiet groan escaped her lips as she forced herself through.

Now inside, she looked around the living room-empty.

She was about to float up the stairs when—

STEP. STEP.

Ciline hovered silently, watching as the most handsome man she had ever seen descended the stairs, wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist.

His perfectly sculpted muscles gleamed slightly, steam rising from his wet skin, his black eyes calm and cold as he walked toward the kitchen.

Ciline's breathing hitched.

'Oh my god...'

Her eyes drifted lower, focusing on the towel —

A very obvious bulge pressing against the fabric.

'Holy shit... He's huge.'

Her legs pressed together instinctively, a slow warmth spreading through her ethereal form as she floated closer.

Ali reached for a glass, filling it with water before raising it to his lips.

Then—

Ali's heart stopped for a second.

His instincts screamed.

His left eye turned completely black.

Ali's trained instincts took over his body,

All of that happened in a single split second.
