The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 193: Chapter 193

CLAP. CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.

A slow, deliberate clapping sound echoed through the air, drawing the attention of every player in the surrounding area.

Immediately, the crowd parted like the sea, making way for the source of the sound.

From between the players, a small figure emerged.

Ali's black eyes narrowed as he took in the sight of a rabbit walking on two legs, dressed in an impeccably tailored black suit. The creature strode forward with an air of effortless authority, its ears twitching slightly as it surveyed the gathered players.

And despite its innocent, soft-spoken voice, no one-not even the most powerful players present-dared to remain in its path.

Even Wu Gongfu, who moments ago had exuded overwhelming dominance, stepped back and reigned in his previously hostile energy.

The leader of the Air Guild, still hovering slightly above the ground, descended quietly as his turbulent winds calmed.

The tension in the air had shifted completely.

This was not just any Supervisor.

This was someone far more dangerous.

The rabbit sighed dramatically, waving its tiny hand in the air.

"Now, now... what is happening here? Are you humans being naughty again?"

Its voice was soft-almost playful. But the underlying authority in its tone was undeniable.

Then, with an exaggerated motion, it waved its paws at the gathered players.

"What are you all waiting for? Go away! NOW! SHOO, SHOO!"

At once, the crowd reacted instinctively, dispersing like leaves in the wind. Players who had been lingering, hoping to witness an escalation, suddenly lost their courage.

Even the more powerful individuals hesitated only briefly before stepping back.

It was as if an invisible force compelled them to obey.

Then, the rabbit's crimson eyes flickered, scanning the remaining individuals who had yet to move.

"That includes you too, children."

His gaze lingered on Luciana, Julie, Jacob, and the other high-ranking players.

A moment of hesitation passed between them, but none dared to challenge the Supervisor's words.

Wu Gongfu was the first to move.

The giant of a man stepped forward, his footsteps heavy against the ground as he passed Ali.

As their gazes met, Wu Gongfu's dark, battle-hardened eyes burned with restrained hostility.

Ali, however, remained utterly unfazed. There was no flinch, no shift in stance, no reaction at all. Only cold, black voids staring back at him.

Wu Gongfu said nothing, but his intent was clear. This was far from over.

With one final glance, he turned and walked away, his subordinates following in his wake.

The others soon followed suit, leaving Ali alone with the rabbit.

Now that the area was clear, the rabbit turned to Ali with a small, amused smile.

"You must be Player Ali. I heard what happened from Lorien. We are considering your suggestion currently."

Ali, arms crossed, looked down at the strangely dignified creature before him.

'Am I even surprised at this point?', Ali thought looking down at the talking rabbit.

At this stage, he had encountered dragons, talking lizards, magical elf, crystal-skinned beauty, and now... a walking, talking rabbit in a suit.

His tolerance for the absurd had been stretched well beyond normal human limits.

"Whether you agree or not doesn't concern me anymore."

The words left his mouth effortlessly, but the rabbit only chuckled softly.

"I find that hard to believe."

Then, shifting its stance slightly, the rabbit placed a tiny paw against its chest, straightening its posture as if preparing for a grand announcement.

"But enough of that. I, the overseer of the Second Level, Head Supervisor Toto, welcome you to the true beginning of your life in Paradise-The Second Level."

As Toto spoke, he extended his arms toward the vast city that stretched endlessly before them.

For the first time, Ali took a moment to truly absorb his new surroundings.

Unlike the dull, grey monotony of the Slum, this world was alive.

The city sprawled outward infinitely, filled with tall, wooden structures, each home carefully crafted with detail, all of them featuring small, well-kept gardens. The architecture was fantasy-inspired, a mix of medieval and high-magic design.

Further ahead, Ali's eyes landed on a massive circular structure-an arena unlike any he had ever seen. It resembled the Colosseum of Rome, but on a scale so grand it could likely seat a million people.

Then, scattered across the city were large, fortified compounds-each one decorated with distinct banners.

Five of them bore the insignia of the Five Great Guilds.

The rest?

Ali assumed they belonged to smaller guilds or independent organisations he had yet to learn about.

"A stark difference from the Slum, wouldn't you say?"

Toto's voice brought him back to the present.

Ali turned his head slightly and found the small creature circling him, his little feet tapping against the stone road as he observed Ali closely. Sizing him up.

Before Ali could reply, the rabbit disappeared in a blur-

And reappeared directly in front of him, spinning Ali's lightsaber in his tiny paws.

Ali's eyes narrowed. 'I didn't feel anything.'

Even his sharpened instincts had failed to track the movement.

"You achieved quite the high grade in Star Wars."

Toto commented as he casually tossed the weapon from paw to paw, as if it were nothing more than a toy.

Ali did not react.

"Check your alerts for your home address.", Toto ordered.

Ali sighed and pulled up his interface. Immediately, he noticed something.

His interface had completely changed.

New sections. New capabilities.

His eyes landed on one in particular.

'Inventory?'

Curious, he tapped on it and read the description.

"Congratulations on ascending to the Second Level! As a reward, new capabilities of the player's interface have been unlocked:

Inventory:

The player now has ten inventory slots to store inanimate objects they can physically carry.

Stored objects will remain in the exact state they were in at the time of storage.

If an object from outside Paradise is stored, its value will be judged by the system. If deemed too valuable, it will be denied entry into Paradise."

Ali exhaled sharply, processing the information.

'That's overpowered.'

But then he recalled seeing the back players in Demon Slayer using similar storage abilities.

'So this was a standard upgrade for ascending players.'

After skimming through other minor notifications, he finally found his address.

"Your personal home address on the Second Level: Section AA, House 1."

Ali closed his interface and turned back to Toto.

"Section AA, House 1."

Toto, still twirling the lightsaber, grinned before casually tossing it back to Ali.

Ali caught it effortlessly.

"Alright then!" Toto declared, his small voice filled with excitement. "Off we go to your house! | will graciously give you a tour of my territory."

With that, the small rabbit turned and began hopping forward, leading the way.

Ali followed.

All the while, countless eyes remained fixed on him, watching his every move.

The tower stood tall behind them as Ali and Supervisor Toto made their way into the city.

Unlike the Slum, which had been filled with desperation, filth, and endless grey buildings, the Second Level was a completely different world.

As they passed by a massive circular structure, the rabbit pointed his small paw toward it.

"That right there is the arena."

Ali followed Toto's gesture and took in the sight of the colossal structure before him.

It radiated power.

It was not just an arena-it was a battleground where the strongest players fought for dominance.

"The arena is an essential place on every level above the Slum," Toto explained, his tone casual. "It is the only place where players are allowed to kill each other... without me killing them."

"I assume there are rules?" Ali asked.

Toto nodded, his long ears bouncing slightly as he turned to look up at him.

"Of course. The rules of the arena are sacred. Breaking them will result in death."

His red eyes glowed slightly…The pressure from the rabbit was immense.

Even compared to Lorien, Toto's presence was far more dangerous-something about him felt unshackled, unrestricted.

"There are two types of duels," Toto continued. "The first is a standard duel, where two players fight for ranking points. If a player dies before surrendering, they will resurrect after the duel. Any injuries sustained will also be healed upon surrender."

Ali narrowed his eyes.

"Resurrection?"

Toto grinned, his sharp little teeth showing.

"Yes. The player will be brought back to life immediately. It will feel like they just fell asleep for a few seconds. If they surrender before they die, they are teleported out of the fight instantly. There is no real risk in a ranked duel-only pride."

Ali processed the information quickly.

A place where he could die and return immediately?

'Interesting.'

"And what of this rank?", Ali asked Toto.

"Well looked behind you…"

Ali turned around and looked up at the tower to see a gigantic interface that was scrolling slowly through the top 1000 players on the second level.

Ali read the name right at the top of the list and smirked, 'So i was challenged by the rank 1 player'.

"Rank 1: Wu Gongfu"
